Shawn Peabody called me the same day I left a message requesting assistance and came out the next day and looked over the job and provided an estimated cost for the installation. His responsiveness and professionalism got him the job. He arrived for the installation at 8:15 am and completed the work before Noon. There was some ductwork that required dismantling and replacing after the job and he contacted the company to do this. Their re-install was completed by 2:30 pm. I was very happy with the quality of the work. Shawn also helped by tightening a leaking faucet in my bathroom. We discussed future potential work for an upstairs bathroom and for a replacement water heater when that becomes necessary. Shawn indicated the ability to have a crew of carpenters as well as himself to do anything we wanted done. They arrive late, but that was due to handling furnace problems due to the cold weather. The called ahead of time to let me know they were running late and offered to reschedule if necessary. Once they arrived they were professional and knowledgable. Easy to work with. I have actually contacted them to do some more work at the house. Great people to work with.

quality of the work was very impressive, they moved all the furniture to get to the pipes. and they had to cut a hole in the wall. But, they cleaned up, completely. we called Peabody Plumbing & heating on a wed., or so, he came in the very next a.m. like he said he would. He was pleasant, and had an apprentice with him. He was very very nice. There was a leak 4 ft. away from the Furnace in a Pipe, that had split. The quoted me 700$ or more, maybe, but it ended up costing a bit more. They had to repair the split, but had to attach a new piece to the end of the old pipe. It ended up going to the other side of the furnace room another 10 ft. or more. this is the reason , it was so costly. On the whole we are very satisfied with the work Mr. Peabody did...they even put a curve in the pipe that the Inspector of the Gas Company had missed when he did his inspection! wonderful people! I would hire again... i only gave the price a b because i wished it had been 700$ , but i would never be able to have replaced this pipe myself...so i am giving an A-

They came in for an estimate. Answered questions thouroughly. Very kind and professional.

On time, cleaned up behind themselves and followed up free of charge.

Called for a plumber at 8 AM and was told that Shawn would call back shortly. He did, and told me that he had a few jobs booked but would be by in the late morning. Just before noon he arrived. He was very pleasant and tolerant of our pets (a German Shepard and husky). The work was completed promptly and professionally, and for a same-day weekend service the price was extremely competitive. We were not aware of the leak under one sink until Shawn pointed it out - he replaced it without an additional charge and offered advice on how to prevent the problem from reoccurring. Overall a very positive experience - next time we need a plumber it will be Shawn that we call.

The company was very responsive. Even though the plumber could not arrive right away, he kept me informed of his timetable. He arrived the next day. The plumber did not have experience with my high tech boiler, but was willing to go through the manual and make adjustments to the boiler settings to see if that would solve the problem. He pointed out that the boiler had been installed with a plumbing design that was not according to the manufacturer's manual. He explained that the water was "flash boiling" in the boiler rather than just being heated, and that this was because the water was not flowing fast enough through the boiler. He felt that this was because of the plumbing design. He made some adjustments to the boiler settings to try to turn the boiler temperature down, and left. After a short period of time, the banging continued. Being out of work, I could not risk spending any more money on the off hand that Peabody could fix the problem, and I called the original installer of the system. The 2nd plumber was very busy, but arrived 2 days later. After bleeding the system and checking the air traps, the 2nd plumber discovered that the check valve in the hot water heating plumbing was clogged. He had the problem fixed in 1 hour without any extra parts. The check valve is a standard part of every hot water heating system, and had nothing to do with the high tech boiler. I feel that Peabody could have done a better job attempting to diagnose the problem. He did not run the system long enough after his adjustments to see that his work did not fix the problem.

I called his number, made an appointment. Mr. Peabody and his son arrived on the appointed day and time. He assessed the situation. Left briefly to buy a new disposal. He returned and installed the disposal efficiently, while his son acted as assistant. It worked. No more leaks. I paid him. He was happy. I was happy.

The hot water pipe leading from my cellar to the kitchen sprung a leak, which was discovered Thursday evening. I left a message that night and received a call back the next morning at 7AM. Shawn showed up when he said he would, fixed the leak quickly, repaired my kitchen sink drain while he was at it, and charged me a fair price. He then referred me to a water damage cleanup company, which has been doing an outstanding job so far. A very pleasant experience, and will definitely use his firm again.

We arranged for Shawn to come at 8M on a Friday. No one showed up all day. His business line was called mid-day and his secretary said she would have him call us and didn't know why he did not call or show. It has been almost 2 weeks and we have not heard from Shawn. We have another company coming on Monday. Very frustrated and disappointed.

They did a great job. We will use them again in the future if needed.

They did a really good job and they were very nice. They were very professional and honest. He told me what he thought I should do and that was to wait until I had more problems and then he would do the job. He gave me an estimate and told me that estimate would be in effective forever,but I don't think that is very fair since things have went up in cost tremendously. They arrived on time.

I was quite pleased with my dealings with Peabody Plumbing & Heating. I called on a Thursday and Shawn and his helper showed up Friday afternoon as arranged after I let them know that I didn't require immediate service. They were professional and pleasant to deal with. The price of services was reasonable. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again when I have another plumbing issue and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to friends and family.

From his quick response to my call to his fixing of the drain and faucet, Shawn was a consummate professional. He was quickly able to diagnose both problems and highlight economical solutions. I plan to use Shawn as my "go-to" plumber from this point on.

He is a sweetheart. The last time I used him, he did not charge me. I did not know how to use my new boiler. He went over everything with me and he did it free of charge. He goes above and beyond. His prices are reasonable. I am planning to sell my house. So, I will be using his service shortly. I have called him recently and have asked him to replace some old fixtures, sinks, toilets; etc.

We called Peabody Plumbing and they were able to come out the very next day and were able to accomodate our work schedule so we didn't have to take time off from work to be there. It was a tough job (Shawn, the owner, said that it was the worst clog that he had seen in his entire career!) but they were able to get it fixed with minimum mess. Shawn and his crew were very professional and friendly and told us to call them if there were any problems afterwards. We would definitely use them again!

Communication went well (reached someone the first try, got a call back from the plumber the next day to schedule) and they were professional and helpful when they came. They even replaced a filter on the sink the same bathroom just because it needed doing.

My handyman had tried and gotten as far s he could, so we knew the "diagnosis". Peabody came the first dat and I did not hear him so he left a card. Everyone complains about service people who do not show up... well he showed up, left amd then called me the next morning to see if I still needed him! It might sound like an easy fix, but my handyman had gotten HIS snake stuck in the blockage, so that was extra work. He saved the snake, cleared the blockage and made sure everything was up and running, asked if I was happy with the job. And yes, I was! I will definitely use Peabody Plumbing for my future needs.

Process was fine. I didn't appreciate his son standing in my driveway smoking. I thought that was somewhat unprofessional.

I called them and the receptionist told me someone would call me. I never got a call.

They were outstanding. I have used them a couple of times and I will use them again in the future.

Made an appointment on 10/3 for service on 10/7 when he didn't show I called to be told he was out of town.i then was told he would call me this week and no call either.

Initial call was returned the next business day and an appointment was scheduled to come to my home to establish what needed to be done and to give me an estimate of what the job would cost. Once the delivery of the new stove was set up I called Peabody Plumbing back to schedule the work. Shawn arrived on the appointed day (15 minutes ahead of scheduled time) and completed the work with his assistant in less than 2 hours. He took the time to explain and to show me exactly what was done and how to shut off the gas in an emergency. I was very happy with the service provided and would definitely recommend this company to others.

I read in Angie's list that this company provided good service, but may be difficult to contact. I called several times to arrange service. I got one callback when I was not at home, and never heard from them again despite calling them back twice more. They may be competent at their job, but what good is it if you cannot reach them.
