Outstanding! One of the best experiences I have ever had with a contractor of this type. I have been putting off having the house painted because the experience of working with people on this type of job is often very stressful. Instead this job was a joy from start to finish. Sam contacted me immediately after I contacted him via Angie's List. He came over very promptly and was very friendly and courteous. I pointed out all sorts of small repairs that were needed. With each one he just calmly said "I can do that." He promptly gave me a very thorough and detailed proposal even including where he would purchase the materials. He did not ask for a deposit until the job started. He began the job earlier than expected because he had a cancellation. Once things started he and his crew arrived and went to work. As he had advised, they typically arrived at 7:30 am and worked until 6:00 pm. Because of some past experiences I had some trepidation, especially about the repairs, but he just went to work and did each task properly and promptly. The pressure washing, scraping, caulking, repairing, etc. went very well. Sam was personally on job working with his crew for most of the project. He and his crew were very courteous and careful. There were no blaring boom boxes and no hours of loud jabbering - they just did the work. There were many fixtures and brackets on the walls and I was fearful that they would just paint over the edges of these (as others have done). Instead they removed or loosened each item so that the paint job would be clean. During the job I asked for a few small extra items and I told him it was okay to charge for these extras. But he did not add extra charges. Throughout the project the site was kept clean and neat, and when the project everything was in order. So I am delighted and relieved. I am grateful to Sam's Painting and am grateful to Angie's List for helping me to find him.

Sam and his crew were punctual, courteous and neat. They arrived when they said they would. They cleaned up so well, you couldn't tell they had been there (except for the paint job)! The house looks great. I would definitely recommend Sam!

Work was not performed. He responded within 24 hours of the request of my quote. He stated that the company does not do interior painting until November. My complaint is that nowhere on the information page for his company does it state that interior painting is not done in the good weather months. That information should be included to save time and trouble for those of us who are trying to carefully contact providers who may be interested in the jobs clients have to offer.

Everything went well. The painters were thorough and polite. Sam suggested gray for the floor of the screened porch, but after it was down, we didn't like it at all. Sam brought the color chart for us to choose a different color. He then repainted the porch floor. We are very happy with this color. My husband had taken down the gutters on the screened porch to switch the downspouts to the outside. The painters put the gutters back and my husband was getting ready to do the downspouts when one of the painters volunteered to do the work. He said that he really liked to do things like that. So, that was a bonus. This was a very positive experience.

Sam arrived at the appointed time to estimate the job. I was pleasantly surprised to get a written estimate from him before he left. After power washing the house, his crew came and spent time prepping the house for painting, Drop cloths were placed on entry steps and deck to protect these surfaces from paint drips. I was very pleased with the work Sam and his crew did. I would recommend Sam's Painting to anyone looking for an excellent painter.

A++ Sam did a great job on my house. He called back right away and had a very professional crew. They painted my contemporary split house, 2000 sq ft, fixed woodpecker damage around a couple of windows, fixed some broken windows on the garage, cleaned the gutters, cleaned the windows and a lot more that I don't even know how to list. They did a wonderful job and I am very happy. I would definitely use them again if I need interior painting and I recommend Sam highly. Absolutely no complaints.

We were very happy with the entire process from the initial quote to final coat. It was a pleasure working with Sam and his crew. The level of their professionalism far exceeded our expectations. Sam was attentive to every detail, responsive to our questions and concerns and he and his team were efficient and extremely neat. We would certainly use 'Sam's Painting' again and highly recommend him for any painting jobs.

Sam is a wonderful man, his price was very fair, and his crew was concientious and thorough, AND FAST! They work long hours. We thought we had chosen the perfect color, but after the first coat went on, we realized it was not what we wanted. Sam had seen our "trial" section at rear of house. He understood, and made a color suggestion. PERFECT! It was no hassle, they just did the second coat with the new color! This co. Was great on prep work. We are so happy we hired them!

I selected Sam's Painting based on favorable reviews and a personal interview with him. I interviewed and got bids from three other contractors and felt most comfortable with Sam. He gave me a complete job description and estimate for painting the exterior of my house the day he came out to look it over. His inspection of the house was thorough and complete, and he held to the estimate he first gave me. Sam's bid for the work was in the same ballpark as all but one of the bidders, so price was not the deciding factor in my choice. Sam and his crew arrived at my house early in the morning on the first day of the job and worked until late afternoon. They followed the same schedule each day until the job was completed. Sam's crew power washed and scraped the house while Sam did the agreed upon carpentry work in preparation for painting. The crew applied one coat of primer and two finish coats to the house (shingles, trim, and shutters). They cleaned up at the finish of each day's work, which I very much appreciated. They put tarps over the plantings surrounding the house as they worked on it, leaving my garden none the worse for wear. Sam was on the premises supervising the work on all but a few days, and his crew was friendly and hard working. I am very pleased with the final result and had no "after work" to do on the house or the property.

They were very professional and thorough, but their price was a bit high.

Sam and his crew power washed and painted our entire 2 story colonial house including trim. They replaced rotted trim boards as well. I cannot say enough good things about both Sam and his crew. They were punctual, professional and kept the job site clean and picked up. They not only painted the house and trim, which is what I contracted them to do, but they also painted our railings and a 24 foot fence at the end of our driveway at no extra charge. They also washed our windows at the completion of the job!! Sam is easily the best contracting professional I have ever hired through Angies List. I would highly recommend Sam for any painting project.

Sam provided a written proposal after walking the property. His price ended up not the lowest by a few hundred dollars, however I selected him based on his reputation on Angie's list and his professionalism. He came and power washed the house about a week before he was to start prepping to give it time to dry before scraping.He arrived on schedule, went to work with his courteous crew and scraped and prepared the surfaces. He protected our plantings and used drop-cloths to catch the scrapings. He did the carpentry work himself (rotted shingles, etc.) He provided two finish coats plus priming while most of the other bidders only provided one plus priming. He removed the downspouts and gutters to check the boards for rot and replaced some. The house and shed looks great. and he cleaned up everything and even rehung our flag and windchimes. super job.

Initially we thought about doing cement fiber siding but with a college tuition (or three), we couldn't touch that. Also, our house is only 13 years old and while the cedar siding had split or was curling up in some spots, it was still not totally trashed. SO happy we looked further down the Angie's list of painters! Sam's price was half the cost of one other estimate and a third the cost of another for the job. Sam communicated well, was prompt, left the work site clean each day. He was on site much of the day but also had a highly capable crew who were polite and efficient and HARD WORKING even during one of the hottest spells of the summer. I was impressed that they removed light fixtures and house numbers when working near them, and didn't just slap the stain around them (also gave me a chance to thoroughly clean them) Our house looks like a million bucks! There are reasons why companies name themselves "AAA Ace and Acme", they hope you'll stop at them at the top of the alphabetical list and not look further down the list.

Sam was excellent to work with! I was unsure of the exact color I wanted and he was very helpful helping me decide. The house looks beautiful and the colors are perfect. Sam is very professional, courteous and a pleasure to deal with. His staff worked hard (through many very hot days!) and they got the job done on schedule. I will be hiring them to do interior painting in the future.

Sam did a wonderful job painting our house. It looks great! He was very responsive and his crew was courteous. At the end of each day everything was picked up like they hadn't even been there. I would highly recommend Sam's Painting.

He is a excellent painter. He was very reliable and does quality work. Sam is friendly and cordial. He does what he says he is going to do. The home way tidy after the job was. I would recommend Sam to others in the future.

First class work ethic and honest crew. When there was confusion as to which color was selected for the exterior, Sam repainted with the correct color without any additional charge. Sam is old school honest and reliable

Sam's Painting Co. provides a very high quality work at a reasonable price. Sam arrived promptly, returned my calls and addressed my questions quickly. Sam gave me an approximate starting date and was able to actually start earlier. The crew arrived promptly each morning, worked very hard all day and cleaned up immaculately at the end of each day. They started painting on a Monday, finished on a Friday and then washed all my windows. My house looks great and we could not be happier! Sam and his crew are very polite, courteous, extremely hard working and meticulous professionals! We are looking forward to hiring Sam again for interior painting. Sam came out in May and did a very detailed estimate that included some carpentry work that needed to be done. The estimate was more detailed and customized than the other 2 boilerplate estimates that I got from other painters, and the price was competitive. I didn't call Sam to do the work until September, but he honored the original quote no problem. He let me know that he would be starting in a couple of weeks, and that's exactly when he called to tell me he planned to come the next day to do some of the initial carpentry work. A week after that his crew showed up and did a great job with the painting. They were there about 4 days to put 2 coats on the house which looks great. At all times Sam let me know what was going on, and his crew was excellent. It was definitely a positive experience working with Sam and he will be the first person I look to when I need to paint the inside.

Sam and his team did an excellent job. Sam was the most responsive of the three contractors we called for an estimate. He provide a written estimate the same day which was the most comprehensive of all three we received and the most cost effective. He estimate the number of boards to be replaced which none of the others did. Sam called each day prior to let us know they would be there and when. They were punctual every day. They cleaned up after each day. Sam check in each day to make sure that we were happy with the work and made suggestions on colors and options that we hadn't thought out. Overall, an extremely pleasant experience!

I joined Angie's List to specifically find a house painter and I am so thrilled with the results. Sam's Painting Inc lives up to their motto, "Preparation is everything." Samuel brought a large crew who were professional, curtious, and very neat; cleaning up at the end of each day. We had a significant amount of wood rot that his crew replaced and repaired nicely, much better results than what I anticipated. One of the most important qualities of Sam's Painting, is that he started the job on time. At our first meeting Sam told me he could start in 2 weeks, and to the day, that is when his crew arrived. Not having our house painted in 7 years, changing the color and adding the painting of a small garage to the total, I thought the price was very fair. THANK YOU SAMUEL AND TEAM!!!

Sam responded to my call immediately. He agreed to come up for an estimate. Arrived right on time, assessed the work to be done, wrote the estimate in his truck and presented it to me before he left (Sam was the only contractor to do this, two of the others I had to chase to receive it). I called Sam asked for a couple of clarifications on the estimate, he agreed and mailed another to me. After evaluating each proposal it was clear that Sam's contained the most value. I contacted Sam to hire him, he said he would try to meet my schedule of work, which he did. This house was not an easy job as there were many flowers in pots that had to be moved, flower window boxes, etc. Sam and his crew were extremely punctual, meticulously clean, respectful, courteous, professional and skilled. The work performed on the added-on back entrance was very detailed with a lot of caulking - it looks like new. Sam was here every day working with the crew. He has a great bunch of guys who seem only too happy to do what you ask - very responsive. They did an extensive inspection before declaring the job finished. We are extremely satisfied and enthusiastically recommend Sam' Painting.
