10-20yrs ago, whoever installed the roof and gutter neglected to install a drip guard, so the surface tension of water dribbled back under the eaves, rotting out the fascia and soffit. I called the Gutter Kings 2 weeks ago, and a few days later they sent someone out to check out the problem. He told me: "Lack of drip guard + surface tension of water = years of wet fascia and soffit = rot." I agreed with his assessment and solution, so a week later 3 professional guys did their stuff. I wanted to save money, so I told them I'd paint the fascia and soffit myself. The gutter already matches the other gutters on the house. Hopefully the rot issue won't happen again, since they installed a drip guard. I'll report back if there are any problems. So far so good.

Final grade: B =================================================== Scheduling - Awkward conversation, but got it done eventually =================================================== I called to schedule a free estimate. While the person receiving the call on the other end was very courteous and answered questions I had, he was not as readily helpful customer-service-wise. I asked if he does work in my neighborhood, and he said yes. And then silence. I guess I expected a question like "What are you looking to do?" It meant I had to take the initiative to say that I'm looking to schedule a free estimate and asked if someone was available on a date at least a week from today, and he said no. Instead of providing the first available date that we could schedule the estimate, he asked what my other available dates were. I can understand wanting to work with my schedule, but I would've appreciated a starting point as opposed to blindly guessing. Throughout the conversation, I felt I had to do work by moving the conversation forward and getting him to help me. We have an appointment set up, but I'm going into it with a bitter aftertaste. That's why my experience is initially a B-. =================================================== On Time Estimate - Even Early =================================================== They showed up maybe 15 minutes earlier than scheduled. The guy was professional. Almost too cordial. I didn't really connect with him as I did with others. It seemed like a business transaction than a conversation. I appreciate that they came on time, but speaking with them felt like "meh". It wasn't a bad experience, but it wasn't a great one either. That's why the final grade is B.

We were provided with excellent service from start to end. The men did quality work and were very professional. We are very happy with the results.

They were good about scheduling around our days, explicit about what was and was not included in their deal (no hidden surprises). I was impressed with their thoroughness and efficiency. We had considerably fewer issues with clogged drains the following winter, so we do plan on using them again this year.

It worked out just fine. I did not have to wait long to schedule. They came out when were not home and we had a larger amount than what was covered. They charged us a little more for that. As far as I know, everything went fine. The only thing was; they came out when we were not here. I had wanted to talk to them about getting gutter guards. I have not gotten around to calling about it. I would use them again.

We have a split level ranch with gutters on the front and back of the house that are filled with soil and debris from ~ 2 years of neglect by a former owner. The gutters are covered but still accessible by bending them back. We had a crew come out and clean the gutters while we were at work. Upon return, I checked the gutters near our deck (the only accessible point to the gutters with a 6' ladder). The only clean region of the gutters was about 12 inches from the downspout - the rest of the gutter system (> 25 ft) was presumably full of soil. I say presumably because I could only check about 6 feet of gutter from my deck, and all 6 feet contained soil deep enough to reach the first knuckle (about 1 inch) on my index finger. I immediately emailed the NE Gutter Kings and said that I was disappointed in the results. I was contacted within 24 hours and told that a crew would come by in the next few days and redo the job at no extra cost. That was very responsive. However, it has now been a few days since their second visit and there is no improvement in the gutters - the soil and debris remain. Curiously, several of the gutter covers were bent back as if the gutters had been cleaned, yet the gutters were still full of soil. I assume the crew used a weak flow spray system (low psi) to blow out debris, because they sure didn't scoop it out nor did they spray it out with anything of substantial psi. Worse, they left many of the gutter covers bent on the front of the house, which is inaccessible to me (without a huge ladder). While my interactions via email and phone with the company were positive, their work was quite poor and I now have to do the job myself. I'm very disappointed in the service and will not use them in the future. I highly recommend checking your gutters (if you can) after using their services to be sure they did a good job. Don't assume that soil and debris near your downspout is any indication that the job was performed adequately.

Although the cleaning of the gutters was ok, the service itself was terrible. The team of two people sent to clean out the gutters did not show up until after the sun set and had to clean the gutters in the dark. There was no way to determine whether or not they did a good job because you couldn't see anything outside by the time they were finished. Also, we had asked for a quote on gutter guard. They never provided the quyote despite several follow-up phone calls to their office. We will be using another service in the future.

They replaced very old gutters on our house last year. The price was very competitive, the job was excellent. The house is on a hillside and challenging to access, but that was no problem for the team. We had some leaks in the house because of the old gutters; the leaks stopped completely after the replacement. They call proactively offering cleaning, it is easy to get on their schedule, they come on time, nobody needs to be at home, drop off the bill by the mailbox. $125 for the cleaning. Overall, excellent work, we are planning on using them in the future.

Installers showed up on time and completed the project in less than a day.

They were excellent. I wasn't here when they did the work I was at work and then they came in and just did the work. They cleaned up after themselves and gone. I would use them again and they are coming back.

I?m pleased with GutterKing and the work they provided. They installed new gutters and in a second visit installed a drip edge flashing. When I called GutterKing for an estimate they came on time, provided a detailed estimate and explained why they recommended the size and number of downspouts, that is explaining why its better for my installation to have multiple downspouts instead of just one. They weren?t the cheapest, nor were they the most expensive. They gave a 24 hour notice, and while that seems a bit short I was able to be home when they arrived. They came a bit earlier then the promised time, which a good thing, they worked hard efficiently and I could see they had a high degree of pride in their workmanship. That night it rained and as I observed the gutters, water was dripping between the gutters and the facia board. After calling them, they referenced the contract and stated that this occurs frequenty and they cannot determine at install time if they need to install a new drip edge flashing. Its on the contract warning that it could happen. My complaint is they should have been a bit more forthright in explaining that I could need this and it would have been far easier to install this while they were here for the first install. Nonetheless I had them come out a second time, again only a 24 hour notice, but this time they were late, excessively late. They told me when they finally arrived that their truck broke down. I can live with that explanation however they should have called and notified me that they?re running late. My schedule time frame was about 12:00 - 2:00pm, they arrived at 5:00pm. Again the work provided was excellent and they appeared to take their time and not try to rush through the job regardless of the time. All in all, I?m happy with them, but the lack of notice and communication is something they could improve.

The clean up was fine but they did not put the gutter helmets back properly. I took a photo and they came back quickly to remedy the situation.

The service was good and they did a great job. I did pay more, because I had them do an extra gutter. It was an extra $30. They came out with in a month. It turned out well. I would use them again.

The price of the deal was great and I did pay one thing extra. The problem was that after they did the gutter in the corner piece, it was no longer leaking; but somehow, the one on the other side and the middle piece started leaking. I called them up several weeks later. When I called them up, that came and they didn't charge me and basically said that nothing was wrong. They dug whatever they did where they fit the new gutter in the middle so it was not leaking. So that's good. But when it rains, the middle piece that they installed would just drip right on to my wooded porch and it just saturates the porch. I asked them to come out again and look at that and they did. I kind of meant to call them back and send them a video on how it looks like when it rains but I'm way too busy. It was kind of annoying because you could see what they had bent and broken it at one point. Now, I feel like it's worse because when it rains, and you walk on the porch, you feel like you are being rained on. The water that's coming out on the new piece that they installed, that has not been repaired. So definitely something is not correct up there. They came out both times, checked it and told me it was fine. Regardless of anything else, you can be the nicest person, you can have the best price but if the job that gets done isn't satisfactory to the customer, I feel like that's the case. The guy was great and he was really nice.

The were very professional and performed the work promptly and to my complete satisfaction. I look forward to utilizing their services again in the near future.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. They were just going to do the gutters but we had vines that grew at the side of our house and in the past when the gutter cleaners came by, they would remove those. We made an appointment, we told them about that and they said no problem, that they will take care of it but they didn't. They said they will take care of it and we should leave them a cheque for additional money which we did and they came when we were at work which was fine but then they didn't take care of the vines and nobody called us to say they're not going to take care of our vines. They just didn't do it and when I called to follow up the next day they said they couldn't trim the vines. They refunded us the money. I was just disappointed because in the past we had gutter cleaners who did it without even our asking. In this case, we specifically said we need someone to do this. They did a fine job with the gutters, I just wish they've been more forthcoming about the other thing. I'm not sure if there was miscommunication between the person I talked to on the phone about doing the vines and the crew or if the person making the appointments misspoke and the crew just didn't do it. I would use them again depending on the pricing.

Excellent work. Reasonably priced.

They cleaned up good all the gutters the only thing that concerned me was that I saw one of the workers using the gutters as a step even that the gutters in my house are in good condition I think that stepping on the gutters can cause some damage. I didn't mentioned this to the company.

They were on time, and there when they said they would be. They finished when they said they would, and cleaned up after themselves. They were good. I would recommend them.
