New England Gutter Kings Inc

We have used them before satisfactorily, so hired them to clean our gutters this year. They never came to clean the gutters and submited a bill. Turns out they cleaned the gutters of our address but in another town. We repeatedly called to ask them to come clean the gutters and they kept promising they would come the next day. Never showed up. But kept sending bills! One manager Keith Macmahon emailed us on Dec 2 that he was sorry that NE Gutter kings did not do the service and that the bill would be cancelled. However Jack Lopes, a general manager, continues to send bills for the service they never completed. He has the audacity to say that the bill is now 'seriously overdue" for a service they did not do. Strange that they could find the right address for the bill, but not to clean the gutters. We gave them multiple opportunities to correct their mistake. We are still waiting!!

They were wonderful, efficient, and thorough. As long as they're in business I'll use them twice a year.

They came, they gave me a date, they did their thing and I gave them a check. They did a good job. They got rid of all the debris that were all over the gutters. I would recommend them and I would use them again.

This is an update to my prior review on 4/11/2019. Since placing the prior review, the office manager from New England Gutter Kings contacted me and agreed to work with me to make things right. They agreed to install the final gutter at a cost that would match my other quotes. I think this is a fair resolution. I appreciate Keith's responsiveness to this issue and determination to ensure his customer is satisfied with the work and price. This is a refreshing change to what I have encountered with many other companies in the past who do not respond once they receive payment. Thank you Keith!

The cleaning of our gutters was very good, however, they left the bags of debris behind. We were stuck dealing with hundreds of pounds of debris. We had to split the debris into several bags to even be able to move them. Also, garbage collection would not take it so we were stuck figuring out how to get rid of it. I reached out to the company and did not receive a response.

The contractors left cut and jaggered pieces of leftover downspouts in yard. Left the old hardware laying around house where the pieces must have fallen. Charged me extra for an option they said I should have. Left an extended corner of downspout hanging. I called and never received a response.

I have used Gutter Kings in the past without problems, but this last time, they were completely unreliable. I booked them in November and they said they'd do the gutters Dec 11th. Due to a storm the week before, they said they were behind and would come the next week. They didnt. I called, and, they rescheduled, but never did the gutters, and never called to explain or reschedule. Totally unreliable- I'm finding another service.

Two men arrived on time. They were polite and professional. They did a thorough gutter cleaning and left no mess behind.

I called in early November to schedule a cleaning of my Gutter and asked for a reduction of price because I only have one gutter. They had been charging me for a multiple gutter.They said they would call me back. They did not. I called back in Early December and asked again. They took $15 off the price and said they would be out around the 11th. It is December 15th at 3pm and I have not heard nor was I told that snow would cancel or delay the cleaning. I have Pine trees in my yard so there are pine needles in my Gutter!

Did a good job. No problems and was done on time as promised.

The communication back and forth with the estimate were a little hit or miss, but that's partly my fault for changing my mind about the work to be performed and requesting a couple of different revisions to the estimate resulting in more rounds of communication. Once we decided to move forward, it proceeded very quickly. The crew arrived within 30 minutes of the scheduled start time, were very professional and performed all the work as requested including a couple of details at my request that I had mentioned during the estimation process. They were done in perhaps four hours, and they cleaned up very well. I went around with a magnetic sweeper after they left and only found a couple of screws dropped during the removal of the old gutters.

Fantastic! Replaced about 75% of my standards sized gutters with oversized gutters (steeper roof sections with faster runoff). Even cleaned out some of the remaining gutters for me. That resolved the overflow problems I was having on the steeper sections of roof. The Leaf Relief gutter guards have been doing an excellent job. Home Depot sells the same brand, but only in very short (like 3-4 ft.) lengths for DIYers. That would be a huge pain to install, moving a ladder every few feet! The contractors can get them in much longer lengths and the install goes much faster. A high quality job done quickly! They also did a good job cleaning up after themselves. I would definitely recommend New England Gutter Kings to anyone considering gutter replacement, cleaning or gutter guard installation.

Very poorly. NE Gutter Kings required payment be left at the time of service, which was done. The check was subsequently deposited (has NE Gutter Kings deposit markings on reverse). The company sent me a bill but when I tried to resolve the issue by calling them they failed to correct their error when it was pointed out to them. The continued to hound me regarding the "outstanding balance" and even sent me to a collection agency. The only way that I got their attention was by filing a complaint with the BBB. In addition to their billing error and poor customer service in resolving the issue at the time of the service they removed screens and left them on the ground and in some bushes. In response to my pointing this out to the BBB they claimed that they never reinstall screens. This is blatantly false as I had used NE Gutter Kings on several occasions in the past and never had this problem. I found it interesting that they sell gutter covers according to their website... Overall, due to the extremely poor customer service, poor business practices (not crediting account nor having a way to review their deposits) and their failure to reinstall screens I would not recommend NE Gutter Kings to anyone.

I was very pleased with the work and I thought the price was fair.

Not great. They failed to notice an obvious leak and were unable to repair it, as they were unprepared. They even had to borrow tools from me. Not professional.

I was frustrated with them. They had a salesman come and do the quote. I asked them if they do siding as well and he said no. When I came home from work, the guy was like you know your siding is falling over there, we could fix that for you. I was like how much would it cost, he said you would have to pay us to come out so that would be a lot more. So, that was frustrating.

crew showed up a day late and were lazy in execution. Left a mess all over the house/deck, and left the gutters only partially cleaner. Would not recommend.

Yesterday on 6/15/17, I had them come out to clean out my gutters. The leaf guards had clogged and water was spilling out over the gutters and nothing was coming out of the downspouts. My new home is surrounded by Oaks, and the Oak Tassels must have clogged the gutters. I called New England Gutter Kings to clean out the gutters and make them work properly again. The charged me $125. And left me a receipt and a gutter inspection report. The report said that my gutters, miters, end caps, outlets, fascia boards, downspouts and downspout extensions were in good condition. Today on 6/16/17, we got a fair amount of rain and I see water spilling out over my gutters again. Very little is coming out of the downspouts. They took my $125 and did absolutely nothing to clean out my downspouts or gutters. The outright lied on my receipt/inspection report saying that my gutters and downspouts were in good condition. I called them immediately and left a voice mail. I am very disappointed at the gutter cleaning service. Their installation is top notch, but I will think twice before calling them for gutter cleaning. I am hopeful that they contact me soon to resolve the defective gutter cleaning.

They were very nice, did the job. I would call them again.

Great! I was given a fair quote, they came the next week and completed the work n half a day, even though it rained!

They came out quick, gave me a great quote plus a discount if I booked within 7 days. They came promptly, did the work fast and well and left everything clean. Would definitely recommend them.

They were very courteous and came out to do the estimate, but when I told them there was a certain way I needed them done, the company came out again to look once again at the job, and determined that they were unable to do the work the way I wanted it. I have contacted Angie's List to seek out other options.

They came out two separate times; one to take the measurements and then the crew came out a few days later to install the gutters. They were on time and got the job done in a timely manner. It was a positive experience.
