The workers arrived on time, cleaned the gutters and cleaned up well.

How did it go? Horribly! Although they say "you don't need to be home", take it from me, based on my experiences with them, I've found you need to be there as they cannot be trusted. Why can't they be trusted? They left a paper saying that the job was done completely. IT WASN'T. They only did half the job. See photo taken right after they left - is this the kind of gutter cleaning job you hope to pay $165.00 for? (and in advance, I might add, since we had a contract with them). I called the office just as soon as I noticed this mess, which was within 10 minutes of their departure. N. E. Gutter King's solution? To NOT rectify the situation immediately. Rather, show up 3 days later to finish the job. And to NOT have someone from the office call me about this situation, as was promised by them. The icing on the cake? We were giving them a second chance this year after having come home last year to a a pre-paid job that they said they did, but in reality, had never even shown up for! And, they had the gall to argue with me about it and believe their employee (who said the job was done) rather than me, the customer. They weren't counting on the fact that the design of my house enables me to see a bird's eye view of the entire gutter on one side.. Had I taken a picture, it would be duplicate of what I have posted here. The sad fact? A few years ago, we had them install new gutters for us, so we were good customers of theirs. We promptly paid the quoted price, didn't ask for any extra favors, were nice, didn't hover, and we all parted ways at the end of the job just fine. I even recommended them to anyone who asked about our gutters (our house gets a good amount of foot traffic). I was happy to do so. But now??? Aside from the obvious fact that I will NEVER recommend N.E. GUTTER KINGS for gutter cleaning , I will no longer recommend N.E. GUTTER KINGS for gutter installation because they have made it clear they cannot be trusted for a good "service after the purchase" experience. And they have proven they cannot be trusted with their word or your money either. UPDATE: RE: NEW ENGLAND GUTTER KING'S RESPONSE OF DEC. 03, 2013. Their response is mostly full of untruths to say the least, so to correct it: I am NOT a long-time gutter cleaning customer of theirs. They have NOT had trouble with this section of gutter every year because the other time I had them come out to clean, in my absence, they never cleaned the gutters at all - until I called them back and they returned (after accepting the PRE-PAYMENT and arguing with me the fact that they had been there.) Although I told them a refund was never the point of my complaint, they did apologize and offered a total refund if I would reconsider using them. Said they wanted a second chance. I agreed and guess what? NEVER REFUNDED ONE DIME. I let it go and they called me AGAIN, right around the Christmas holidays. Just by sheer coincidence, I had just seen their response the same day, so was livid about it when ?Keith? called. I don't even know why he called, he was just basically chitchatting about the gutters and then in the middle of the conversation he mentions the refund. I told him I never received the promised money and also told him I was extremely unhappy about their response. He told me the owner wrote it. I was so angry and apologized to the caller for my anger and yelling and told him I really need to be speaking to the owner then, to hear what he has to say about his bogus comments. I made it clear I wanted the owner to call me. NEVER GOT ONE CALL and after the second promise of $$$ which I never even asked for, NEVER RECEIVED IT. A word and warning to the wise...

We called to have our gutters cleaned. We got a call the day before to let us know we were scheduled to have the work done the next day. They hadn't shown up by 3:00 PM so I called to make sure they were still coming. They said they definitely were. Then they never showed up and never bothered to call us.

The company gets very high marks from me, they are really a pleasure to work with. They perform their cleaning work well and communicate well with the client. They are really nice to deal with on the phone and also in person. They are well organized - they can immediately access your information from their data base if you are a past customer, and they can give an estimate immediately for the work. When they knew they were running late due to morning traffic they called me in advance of the time they were supposed to be here, to let me know. Gutter cleaning isn't the sexiest way to spend your money or talk about, but it is an important service and they do it really well in all aspects.

The guys did a good job, were friendly, and cleaned up well afterward. I made sure I was home because I misunderstood from two Gutter King service coordinators that if minor repairs were needed that the gutter cleaners could make those repairs at the time of cleaning. I was informed by the cleaners that they cannot make those repairs. I was not happy about this and called NE Gutter Kings to let them know. The person I spoke with was professional and explained that they have a different crew that makes even minor repairs. However, it is an additional cost even for a small repair. I'll know for next time.

I have a two-story house with non-lockable areas for gutter cleaning. It's a good deal.

Cleaned some of the gutters, and then claimed others were outside scope, so effectively only cleaned half of the gutters and then wanted more money. The funny thing is they cleaned the gutters on the second floor section and then didn't do the first floor one, which were very easy to reach and very short in length. Why? Why would they screw over the customer? I would never use them again and certainly would NOT recommend them.

I found New England Gutter Kings through a discounted online offer. I called and easily scheduled an appointment for the coming week. I was not able to be home during the work and cannot speak in detail to it's quality in part because the gutters are too high to check on my own. However, the service was prompt, they left no mess, and I haven't had any trouble with the gutters since. I would be happy to have them back.

Showed up 3 minutes early. Introduced themselves and explained what they were about to do in a friendly and professional manner. Got right to work and did it fast and efficiently. Cleaned up afterwards and made it look like they weren't even there. Nice to see a company do what they are supposed to do when they are supposed to do it. I will absolutely use them again. We first met with Jim, who assessed what types of gutters we needed to replace the old ones. Jim was just great! He listened to our concerns based on the pitch of our front roof and he made recommendations about the best gutters to use to replace the old ones. In our case, it was a larger commercial gutter because of the pitch of the roof. The gutters were installed a year ago and I've called the company back a few times with some concerns. Each time they were quick to respond and very gracious. Some minor repairs were made at no cost to me and they did the trick. The last call was tougher because some landscape work I had done after the gutters were installed impacted the downspouts. Since the regular technicians weren't able to figure out the issue, Gutter Kings sent Jim out again and, again, he was fantastic! He figured out the problem and someone was out to fix it within a week. I highly recommend these guys. They are all professional, knowledgeable, and committed to addressing your concerns. I wish I had gotten the gutter caps, and may call them back for that since the gutters, without the caps, have required some cleanings.

NE Gutters always does a great job. They did my gutters a couple of years ago and were fast, thorough and did a great job. Love it when it rains.

They drew up a plan which we agreed to then installed the system completely different. They claimed the original design couldn't be done. Reluctantly I agreed to a different design ( not as good as the first ) They had to return 3 times to get the second design correct and then they charged me an extra $50. for the installation of a necessary piece which they neglected to include in their design.-----I guess I had hoped the experience would be better, I had a lower quote from someone else but they sold me on the original design. My friends have told me the gutter system makes the house look GETTO....Now thinking about it I guess MY "C" rating is a gift

The job went fine. They snugged the gutter up to my house, which was their job.

Scheduling was a nightmare as I wanted to be present during the cleaning and they kept telling me that I didn't need to be. I scheduled cleaning for 2 houses which are about 10 minutes apart. By 4 pm they had not yet showed up at my house which I had discussed with them needed to be done 1st since then I would then go with them to the other house which is a rental property. At that point I knew they would not be able to do both houses as it would soon be dark. Called the office but they were absolutely no help and had no idea where their employees were. Turns out they had gone to the other house and cleaned those gutters and then quit for the day. They never notified me that they weren't coming to my house. They paid no attention to which house they were supposed to do first and obviously no attention to the fact that I wanted to be present. I'm not sure when or if they would have cleaned my gutters if I hadn't already contacted the office. They did finally come to my house another day and cleaned the gutters. The ones I could see looked OK. Weeks later, during a storm, the gutters on an upper level of my house overflowed. I can't see them but, since all the others work fine, I suspect they never cleaned those. I also had to have them come back to the rental property as there were some gutter covers that needed to be put back on. That was one of the original reasons I wanted to be there and talk to them during the cleaning. The job was probably done OK but customer service is absolutely nonexistent. I would not use their company again.

They promptly answered phone on the weekend when I wanted to get someone out for an estimate. They were very accomodating in working around my schedule in coming out for an estimate which was calculated on the spot and with multiple options (different size drains, with and without leaf guard protection, etc.). I selected the option I wanted. To save money, I wanted to install the leaf protection and down spout splashes myself. They had no objection and stood by their original low estimated. I sent them a check for 1/3 down with the options I selected from their estimate and within less than a week I had new gutters on the house. They look great! Now I'm looking forward to rain.

This company is responsive and very professional. The salesperson showed up on time. Explained his product, took measurements, explained the pros and cons of the system with my existing gutters and seemed very knowledgeable in general (about gutters). He did not apply high pressure sales tactics, even gave me the lag time so I would know how early I could have them installed. I chose another company but it was because I chose a different product that would work better for my home. I would haighly recommend this company.

He was excellent, professional, and punctual. He tested the gutters.

Estimator was right on time to appointment that was made. Installers were quick, efficient, and clean. Done on time and to specifications. Gutters look very nice.

Overall, just lame. Good first impression by phone - scheduled the repair for the following week. Repair date came and went, no-show and no-call. I called around 4:30pm that afternoon and was assured that they were on their way, but they never showed. The next day, same thing. And then the next. Four days in a row, I was promised service and it did not happen. The following week they finally came and performed the requested service (never called or left a voicemail, so by this time I had assumed they just might never show up.) I had left a note on the door all week (just in case) requesting that they also, during the repair service, remove a single very small piece of gutter pipe that is just hanging from the side of the building and is not necessary for anything. This would literally take 5 seconds to remove, but I don't own a ladder tall enough to reach it. Instead of calling to say it would cost extra and asking if I still wanted to do it, they just left a note on my invoice saying that the request was "not listed on the work order" and they therefore wouldn't do it. Seriously? Utterly lame response, especially after showing up 5 days late! No apology, and the most minimal effort imaginable.

Pretty good.There wasn't much to clean because we don't have many trees around the roof but the guys were very professional and from what I could tell thorough.

Went fine. Had a storm not long after they reportedly came and we weren't aware when they did so called to clarify since saw fair amount of leaves in gutters. Very responsive.

Guys were friendly, fixed issues such as loose gutters and clean them all. Quick to.

They did not clean the gutters around the front and back porches that are on the first level. When I called to ask why, they said the deal only covered the gutters along the front, sides and back, but did not include unattached or other parts of the house. The ad did say unattached structures were not included, however, at the time I made the initial appointment I described my attached porches and I understood the company to say they would be be cleaned. At best they and their ad were unclear, and at worst, they baited and switched. In any event, they did return several days later, cleaned the gutters on the front porch, but didn't touch the rear porch gutters at all. The rear porch gutters clearly needed cleaning. How a gutter cleaning company can come to a house to clean and leave gutters in need of cleaning untouched is an oxymoron to me! I would not use this company again.
