Description of Work: I was disappointed to learn that overhangs and anything other than the actual square structure of the house were not considered part of the main house. These are not additions, just quirks of the house that hang lower than the top gutters. Because of this, the add-on $35 per section would have added $70 to a $99 deal, just for an additional 10 feet or so. I've had someone do my gutters every year for the 7 years i've owned my home, and these areas were never considered separate. The two sections they did do seem fine, but i'm surprised at the add-on costs.

After reviewing this house personally the up charges were inline with our "Big Deal" offer and how we price our gutter cleaning. This is not a small house and there are several roofed structures with a garage that is attached to the main structure doubling the size of the house. the "Big Deal" state that garages are extra. Still a bonafide deal as the regular charge for this house would have been $275-300. We hope that the overall experience this customer had with our company has earned future business.

Description of Work: We replaced a gutter along the side of our garage that was damaged in a storm, added a down spout and added a diverter . When I called to get a price, they came the next day. We thought it was a fair price. Once we called to say we wanted to do the work, we were able to get it done a week later. Would use them again.

Description of Work: This is by far the worst gutter cleaning company that I have used. They are terrible. They broke several of shrubs around my properly, the guy put his ladder on a small shrub I purchased, the throw debris everywhere and did not even dare to clean after themselves. I had to walk around the house to collect the Donkin Donuts cup from their drink. After one day, I had a lot of water damage in my basement and It took me an a plumber a day to figure out that the cleaners did not shut down the water house outside and the put the hose next to my foundation, when I contact the company, they did not even return my message or email. I have previously asked for an estimate to repair part of the gutter and I got a 2k cost estimate; Another reputable company fixed the same thing for me for $300. This is not a company that I would like to recommend or will ever use. They are by far the worst

The service was performed on 12/29/12. The following day the customer emailed us complaining about a mess that was left behind with attached pictures of the mess & shrubs. That day we dispatched our Field Supervisor to clean it up and notified the customer that we would be sending someone over to pick it up. What the picture showed, and was confirmed by our Field Super, were pine needles and leaves that were scattered around the property, piled up on lumber lying along the foundation, and in the mulch all around his home – normal seasonal yard debris that showed signs of having been there long before we ever serviced this home. Our Field Super confirmed that the job was performed correctly and that crew cleaned up appropriately and the mess didn’t come from the gutter. We were not able to identify any broken shrubs. I feel that the customer found a coffee cup that fell out of the truck when they the crew left which was the root of the mess complaint. On 12-31-12 we receive another email from the customer saying that a plumber had just left his house to fix a leak and that our workers had left the water running outside. We take no responsibility for this. If running water was not found by the customer during his initial inspection of our work, or by our field supervisor who walked around the house, or by the homeowner during his subsequent inspection that followed our 2nd visit we don’t know how this could be plausible. All of this was explained to the customer. Regarding the complaint about the estimate, we were called by this customer and provided estimates on 2 different occasions, 7-12-11 and 6-8-10. The notes in our system from the customer service reps that took the calls and made the appointments state “7/7/11 Estimate to replace two sections of gutter. Mr has severe water problems here. Mr had estimate with CC on 6/8/10 but mr says he wants different work than what was stated on that estimate. I will attach original estimate. KM”, “06/07/10 - Estimate per Mr. to replace all 3 corners & correct pitch problems, & give gutter cleaning price. VP”. The same estimator met with the customer both times. Our estimators are paid hourly, not on commission, and provide estimates written up on site, which are reviewed with the customer during the same visit. If the customer wanted only repairs made he would have been quoted only repairs. Upon receiving this complaint via Angie’s List we immediately refunded this customer the $150 he was asking for to resolve the issue (he only paid $99 for the cleaning – discounted through an Angie’s List Big Deal Promotion). After receiving the $150 the customer was contacted by Angie’s List to close his complaint and he told them he wanted us to pay an additional $500 to pay for his water bill. We have notified Angie’s List that we will not pay the $500 therefore this complaint status is as a “stalemate”. We performed about 5000 gutter cleanings last fall, and the quality of our work and the care we take to provide the highest level of service is what has earned us Super Service Awards in the gutter cleaning category year after year. The reports seen here (151 A’s & 25 B’s of 202 reports) accurately reflect our current “A” grade with Angie’s List customers. Thank you for reading.

Description of Work: I had used this company to install gutters to my home 4 years ago. The gutters were attractive and for the most part did what they were intended to do. This week I called and asked them to take down my gutters for house repainting and to reinstall after the painting completed. The receptionist was very polite & responsive as well as the mgr. I spoke with who was able to schedule the job a few days after my call. The job start time was set up for 8 AM today and the mgr was aware that my carpenter would be here at the same time as well as I woulod be delaying my work start time to accomodate this schedule. My carpenter was 10 minutes early. When there was no show and no phone call from the company by 8:30 AM I called their office. I was asurred the crew was on its way and would arrive any minute. The explanation was that they stopped to do a small job on the way. When I called again at 9 AM the office offerred to call the crew, if I wanted, to determine the ETA,which again was given as 20 min. At 9:20 when I called the office yet again, I was given an apology. Since I had an hour's drive to get to work, I could wait no longer and left. A friend stayed until the crew's arrival at 9:45 AM. By then I had decided that I didn't want to do business with a company that was this disorganized about their scheduling and internal communications. The crew's explanation when they finally arrived was that the office didn't tell them the appointment time. In 11/2006 I paid over $2300 for 173' of gutters with screens and 80 ft of downspouts which I thought was a moderately high price. I had expected at least punctual treatment or a call to offer to rescheule. I was dissapointed with this company..

We did not have an appointment with this customer for 8 AM. The work was scheduled for the morning of said day but a particular time was not set or requested by the customer. If the customer had requested a particular time we would have been happy to make that arrangement as we do on a regular basis. We had not knowledge of a carpenter being involved in the work which had nothing to do with removing the gutters. The customer never spoke to the manager (who schedules all work), but did call that morning to find out when the crew would be getting there and an approximation was given by one of our customer service reps. We apologize for any inconvenience this situation may have caused, but feel that the customer is being a bit unfair in her rating. After reading this posting we have attempted to contact the customer to discuss the facts of this situation but she has not returned our messages. We feel that there must have been a honest misunderstanding and accept that the error could have been on our side but she will not take our call after placing this posting. We remind the reader that we do call every customer the day before any service or estimates to remind/notifying them that we are coming out.
