Really like the person that did the work and the extra effort he provided to clean our very worn carpet. He really was diligent in getting every bit of dirt and stain up as was possible. He worked up a sweat with the effort he put in. The rug, while not like new, was remarkably better than I could have hoped. Great job.

I would definately use Duraclean of Chelmsford again.. In fact I have been thinking I should probably do that soon.. I like the steam cleaning process and was not sure what company to use - I had seen an ad for Duraclean and saw they were local and wanted to give local people my business. I am glad I did. They corrected an issue I had had with my carpets and I am very pleased with their service.

Hired them to put stain proofing on all my chairs and couches. Then when I called them a year later, because I got a stain on my couch they said they offered no guarantee and didn't want to come out for a paid service call because I was too far away. They recommended I attempt to clean it myself using a type of product they recommended. I tried and burnt a hole in my couch. The repair was $450.

Duraclean has been cleaning the carpets in my former home for 15 years. Everytime that I used the service, I could not have been happier. Their technicians are skilled, prompt and courteous. The Duraclean method does not leave your carpets soaked for day. Generally, you can walk on them in a few hours. I don't have any carpets here in my home on the Cape, but I would highly recommend Fred Higgins to anyone who does.

The muddy carpet: this is our Au pair's room and every year for 8 years we've had Duraclean do the Annual cleanup. Tracked dirt and spilled drinks seem to disappear and the carpet looks like new. The stairwell runner gets heavy use and needs a thorough clean at least once a year and Duraclean always makes it look great. The bathroom cleaning was great and the workman discovered a leak behind the tiles we'd never seen, which was great to know about and led to repair before major damage was done.

The gentleman arrived nearly an hour early and worked very quickly which made me feel as though he was rushing. Additionally, the gentleman left some marks in the carpet, and he seemed a bit perturbed when the company sent him back to correct the issue. Ultimately, the carpets were cleaned well.

I have used Duraclean for several years. They are always prompt, polite and work with my schedule. They have cleaned 3 rooms of carpeting, spot treating first. It costs extra, but they have a teflon treatment to repel stains, and will also "dry" the carpet by putting absorbent toweling on a machine that looks like a floor buffer, which they run all over the carpets. It cuts the drying time way down, and also removes any residue. They finish by using a little rake to fluff up the pile. We always move our own furniture out of the way, but I think they also do that. Some of the people they send are more thorough than others, and I always inspect and tip accordingly.

The two man crew arrived promptly, and we did a quick walk through of the areas to be cleaned. I was told that extra effort would be made to deal with the stains but this would not result in any additional charges. Although I had done some furniture removal prior to this visit, the two guys were willing to move and shift furniture as needed to achieve the stated goals. Over two and a half hours, they worked in a diligent manner. Since I was asked to stay off the second floor carpets while they were being cleaned, I cannot provide further insights. I am very happy with the results and would use them again.

We just bought a new house previously owned by a heavy smoker with 2 dogs. The berber carpets were stained and smelled. I called Duraclean and they had someone in the house 2 days later. They cleaned 5 rooms and stairs for $327 in about 2 1/2 hours. We got the sanitizer "pet package" and the premium cleaning for deodorizing the smoke smell. He even gave us advice on how to fix a tear in the carpet that the previous owner had left. The day they cleaned it was tough to tell if it helped the smell. The worst of the stains were mostly gone but the house still didn't have a "fresh" smell. Overall we thought we were satisfied. Over the next few days, it was apparent that the cleaning hadn't helped the smell much. I called Duraclean and they were very responsive and supportive. They offered to come out and do a second cleaning with a different chemical that they'd have to special order. They offered to do it for free as well as offered other alternatives with partner companies for air cleaners if this didn't work. When the technician arrived, he informed me that he would re-clean the areas with a lighter version of the same cleaning he had done before. I was disturbed by the apparent "bait and switch" so I called the office before he did the work. They told me they called their supplier to get the chemical, discussed my situation and the supplier said that the other chemical likely wouldn't help, so it wasn't worth it. I wish they had told me that before they came out to the house. In the end, the second cleaning did help a little but the house still smells. I don't know if any cleaning company could have gotten the smell out of these carpets, so I don't want to hold Duraclean responsible for that. But I was disappointed that I wasn't notified in advance about the change in plan. I would probably hire them again for their professionalism, responsiveness and support and look to the second experience to truly rate their quality.

Excellent experience. When I called, I chatted with the owner (wish I could remember his name) and we talked rugs, dogs, and what happens when you put them together. They came and picked up my rugs, then dropped off within a week. Very reasonable. Will be using them again.
