This is the worst experience I have ever had with any repair firm. Four missed appointments, mis-diagnosis of the problem and resulting three-week delay in getting the right part. I should have renewed my Angie's List membership and checked them out before calling, to save myself the hassle. Now trying to get my $100.00 deposit check back.
Description of Work: Stove top repair: pop-up exhaust hood is stuck in up position and cannot be put back down. A switch is broken.

The guy who came out wasn't the friendliest and he had to use my cell phone to call the oven company for advice but he got the job done. I buy all of my appliances from AAA and I feel like I always get the best price.

WE ORDERED A NEW KEY FOR THE COIN BOX OF A COIN-OP WASHING MACHINE, AND WERE TOLD IT WOULD BE IN WITHIN A WEEK, AND THAT THEY WOULD CALL US. THEY WANTED PAYMENT UP FRONT. RECEIVED NO CALL AFTER TEN DAYS, SO CALLED THEM. LOST ORDER, SAID THEY WOULD PLACE A NEW ORDER FOR THE KEY. WE GATHERED, AND SUBMITTED ALL OF THE INFORMATION AGAIN. ANOTHER TEN DAYS, NO ONE CALLED. WE CALLED THEM AGAIN. SAID THEY WOULD CHECK, AND CALL US. NO CALL. WE CALLED AGAIN, SAID THEY WOULD CALL, NO CALL. WE WENT INTO THE SHOP, THEY SAID THE COMPANY MAKES KEYS FOR COIN-OP BOXES JUST ONCE A MONTH, AND THIS WAS NOT OUR MONTH. TRY NEXT MONTH. THIS WENT ON FOR SIX MONTHS. FINALLY THE KEY ARRIVED, AND IT DID NOT FIT. THEY SAID "OH, IT'S EASIER TO ORDER THE ENTIRE BOX UNIT, WE CAN GET IT IN TWO DAYS". THAT TOOK AN ADDITIONAL TWO MONTHS. WE COMPLAINED, THEIR RESPONSE: "OK, JUST GO SOME OTHER PLACE THEN". SO WE HAVE, NEVER TO RETURN.

I WAS LOOKING TO HAVE A 1940'S STOVE SERVICED, RATHER THAN FIXING IT THE GUY BROKE THE KNOB OFF MY STOVE (NO APOLOGY NO DISCOUNT) TOLD ME THE STOVE WAS A FIRE HAZARD AND NOT REPAIRABLE, AND I SHOULD BUY A NEW ONE FROM HIM. LATER I HAD A DIFFERENT COMPANY COME OUT AND THE 2ND PERSON REVEALED THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE STOVE (SAID HE WAS SHOCKED TO SEE SUCH AN OLD STOVE IN SUCH GREAT SHAPE) AND PROPERLY SERVICED IT. I WOULD STAY AWAY FROM AAA APPLIANCE IN THE FUTURE.

NOTHING HAPPENED SO I CALLED AND ASKED FOR SERVICE. THIS IS HOW THE CONVERSATION WENT; "WELL HOW CAN I HELP YOU?"; "I HAD AN APPOINTMENT AND NOBODY SHOWED UP."; "WELL, THAT'S MY FAULT.
