Mr. Kelley and his crew had repaired our chimney prior to this job. We thought of him when this repair came up for that reason. They arrived early and worked steadily to complete the repair. We couldn't be happier with the result. The price was fair and the cleanup was complete. If you need a mason, call Kelley Masonry.

Asked for pricing on several different projects involving brick work. Sonny came out promptly to fit my schedule. Prompt pricing given. Details of pricing provided prompt upon request. Repaired and replaced broken brick/mortar and waterproofed chimney. Work done within time frame requested. Work completed to my satisfaction. Area left clean. Will have come back to do more work in the future.

Sonny came to repair my field stone foundation which he had seen a year earlier. I waited until other renovation work was done on the house before I had the foundation patched. The roofing and shingle work would have disturbed a newly repaired foundation. He did a decent job patching with Portland cement but he was reluctant to rework a skim-coated wall that had some damage. I paid him before the work was finished and got my money's worth. I know my request could have been met but it seemed too much trouble for him, though he asked repeatedly if I was satisfied. I will have someone else come in to do what I want. Sonny is a good mason.

The project is under 7 inches or snow and ice. We are waiting for Spring and no snow. This is the second time I have filled out this review. The work has not been done due to weather, will rate the service when the work is done.

Sonny Kelley gave us a clear estimate, named a date for the work to be done (weather permitting), and followed through. Work was done over two days. The new bricks were perfectly matched to the old ones, so it was impossible to tell that a repair had been done. Sonny even replaced some broken bricks on the front step at no further cost. When he handed us the bill, he reminded us to take 10% off as an Angies List member.

Sonny and his assistant showed up on time for the estimate and were very thorough. Sonny, who's based in Hyannis, chatted about doing work for the Kennedys and also offered to replace some broken bricks on our front porch. We had gotten a slickly presented estimate of $5200 from another highly rated Angies List contractor, which came with an entire portfolio including photos of the chimney taken from the roof, Sonny's estimate was $2200! So obviously we chose him. The job was done on time; the new bricks perfectly matched the 70-year-old ones, so it would have been impossible to tell where the repairs had been made if we hadn't seen the deteriorated sections beforehand. Sonny followed through on replacing the porch bricks also. When he presented us with his bill for $2200, he reminded us to take off the $10% for hiring him through Angie's List. We thought the $2200 had included the discount. I can't imagine why anyone would have chosen to have the same work done for $5200.

Great job. Sonny and his son did the work on cold day and the chimney seems airtight. I was not sure if it would fix the leak but Sonny assured me it would and, sure enough, the leak stopped. He was prompt and courteous and I will hire him again for any future work.

He promptly reviewed the job and then gave me an estimate over the phone. I asked him to put it in writing. Despite repeated emails and calls, I never got the written estimate or a call back. I eventually had the work done by another contractor.

Mr Kelley arrived shortly before the agreed to time and proceeded to save us a lot of money. He counseled a solution to our problem that we can try ourselves rather than a very costly option proposed by another contractor which he explained was overkill and might well not solve the problem.

Everything was done as and when was described in the bid. Sonny is a real old-world professional. Hire him!! Next he's going to expand the brick patio in our back garden, and we can hardly wait.

He did everything he said he would do in a professional and timely manner. He did work at price agreed upon.

Excellent. Kelley responded promptly when I called for an estimate and was on time for his appointment to provide the estimate. He clearly explained everything in detail that needed to be done. When completing the work, Kelley and his crew were prompt and very neat. All work completed was exceptional!! I highly recommended Sonny Kelley!!!!!!

Sonny was quick to come over and provide an estimate. He showed up on time, was helpful and easy to get in touch with for follow-up questions. Sonny and his team started the next week and had the job completed in several days. He suggested a great brick to use and he added a blue stone cap and animal screens. He did several minor repairs that he noticed were needed while up on the roof and left the flashing easy to work with for the roofers. He left absolutely no mess whatsoever in the yard or on the roof. The chimney looks fantastic and was completed at a significantly better price than another quote I had received. He is honest and has the kind of integrity that I look for when entrusting something so important to someone with skills that I do not have.

Work went very smoothly. Mr. Kelley performed the work when promised for a very reasonable cost. Prior to checking Angie's list for references in the area, had called several mason's in the area, of which NONE returned my calls. Mr Kelley promptly returned my call and was very professional. Would highly recommend.

Sonny did an excellent job from beginning to end. The estimate was fair and timely and the repairs were done as committed and on time. All in all, an excellent experience.

He was fine. I didn’t get to see him because I was at work but he talked to my family. His price was right in line because he was one of three people that came up with the same price. He came right out so I can’t complain. He didn't end up doing it but that wasn't his fault.

Sonny returned calls promptly, came as promised to provide estimate for chimney repairs. He was pleasant, straightforward, and he told me what was needed for repairs/leak prevention. We scheduled the job and he was there within the week to complete the repairs. Happy overall with the work provided. He was happy to apply the 10% Angie's List discount when I requested it

If you're looking for a Cape Cod mason with loads of experience, Kelley Masonry fits the bill. If you're looking for a mason who just says what the you want to hear, go elsewhere. The rebuilding of my chimney was the first step in the complete exerior rehab of my house including new roof, siding, trim, gutters, etc. After getting a total of 5 estimates, I contracted with first one mason, then a second who both basically dropped me to take on bigger jobs. That is when I contacted Kelley Masonry based on his rating on Angie's List. I called him on a Wednesday at 8:30 PM and by 9:00 AM the next morning he was at my house and called me that evening with an estimate that was lower than most I had received. He also applied his Angie's list coupon. He then sent me an email confirming the proposal and by the next morning he was setting up staging at my house. Knowing that I was in a panic, he juggled his schedule to fit me in. He and his two employees worked for three days, demolishing the exising chimney and rebuilding it. He also spoke with my roofer to confirm how the flashing should be left. Sonny was extremely precise in his work, constantly checking the levels and the mortar. He also conferred with me on the decorative top, making sure that I was satisfied with the design. He finished the job yesterday, and it is beautiful. Also, while rebuilding the flues, he noticed that one was in an extremely precarious position and repaired it. While Sonny was working I had my hot-water heater and furnace re-inspected as part of an energy audit. Previously, the hot water heater almost failed, but it is now drawing perfectly, thanks to Sonny's careful repair. Since this is my summer residence, I was not able to be there to observe until the last day. Sonny called me each evening to give me an update of the work done and let me know when he anticipated finishing. I really appreciated his consideration, even though my neighbors were also monitoring the progress. I would recommend Kelley Masonry to anyone on Cape Cod considering having chimney or masonry work done. His promptness, quality of work and precision have impressed me and we will be calling him in the spring to have our front walk done.

Gave this mason the latitude to diagnose and fix problems with a leaking chimney. He addressed multiple issues, but did not suggest that we had to "rebuild the chimney from the roof up", which the roofer had implied. Food quality and good value.
