Kelley Masonry

I contracted with Brian Kelly to remove and replace the existing front entrance stairs and walkway to my home. I couldn't be happier with the great job he and Shane did. They totally rebuilt the stairway and finished it with bluestone and stone veneer. The walkway, which was pea-stone was replaced with pavers. Both the stairs and walkway were sealed. The result is what you see in the attached pics, but I must admit, it looks way better when you're standing on it! They cleaned up every day, were punctual and professional. This was my 2nd time doing business with Kelly Masonry, and won't be my last! Thanks Brian and Shane!

Our chimney occasionally leaked, especially when there is a strong wind. I called around to a number of companies. Right off the bat, Brian was the most responsive and came by within a couple of days, off hours, to look at the job. Most of the other companies were either not taking on the type of work needed until spring or were too busy to even come by. He was able to start the work within a couple of weeks and ended up working over the weekend. The quality of his work is excellent, both neat and thorough. Unlike many other people I have hired, Brian left the work area free of debris when he finished. I also appreciated his willingness to answer my many questions on how he was doing the work and the materials he would be using, along with the potential presence of any related damage to the house siding near the chimney.

I hired Kelley Masonry to waterproof my leaking chimney/roof. Brian Kelley re-flashed, re-pointed, and re-shingled the roof after installing a water and ice shield and re-shingled the side of house where flashing had to be installed. He also sprayed the brick with a waterproof solvent. He repaired a cracked crown. Quite a bit of work, and he did an outstanding job at a competitive price, and cleaned up every day before he left. Brian was always on time and worked extremely hard all day long. This 2nd generation mason was a great hire and I plan on having him back to install a walkway. Thanks, Brian!

We set up a time for him to come out and look at the job to be done. He did not show up and did not call me. Called him again about a week or so later. Set up another time for him to come out and look at the job. Never showed up and never called.

They were fast and really easy to work with

It went great. Brian came over and looked at the project, gave me a verbal estimate and got me into his schedule right away as he had an immediate opening for a job of this size. He communicated with me as the job progressed and sent pictures of the work when completed. I have since been to the house to see the work first hand and determined that he did a real nice job. We are very satisfied and I will use him again in the future.

Dan arrived at the scheduled time to give me an estimate for the job. He explained exactly what needed to be repaired. Dan and his crew arrived at the scheduled time to do the chimney cleanings, cap repair, and repointing repairs on the chimneys. I had asked for before and after pictures and was provided with pictures as requested. Dan's crew was polite, professional, and on task. The job was completed in a timely manner. The final bill matched the estimate. I was pleased with the services I received. Would definitely hire again.

Very well. He took half the time other masons quoted and it cost half the price.

Mr. Kelley scheduled work asap and was actually able to come sooner due to a change. He performed all the work beyond what initially quote itemized and did not charge extra. Work was done professionally and cleanup was excellent. Would hire him again and certainly refer others.

Although I did not hire Sonny this spring, I am definitely interested in working with him for future masonry projects at my home. He returned my first phone call well within 24 hours. He was pleasant and professional to speak to while setting up the appointment to visit the job site. On that appointment date two days later, he arrived right on time. The job estimate was fairly priced, very good. Although the timing wasn't right for me this spring...I would call Sonny again in a heartbeat. Experienced, professional, and pleasant to deal with...what more can you ask for?

It went well, however recently, our stairs look shaky called and they will come and check them out

I called him before the appointment on Friday and he let me know he had car problems and couldn't come. I haven't heard from him since and it's now Monday. It was a questionable misunderstanding, I didn't realize he wanted me to wait until he had his car fixed.

He did a nice job. I was very pleased.

Sonny and his assistants came on the agreed upon date. Work was done on same day and all debris was cleaned up and taken away. Quality workmanship and good people to work with.

thank you Mr. Kelley @ associate for a job well done. tried for extended period to get my front steps repaired. got a lot of prices that were off the wall. Mr. Kelley's price was half anybody else. Mr. Kelley sat down with me and explained the steps he would take to get work done. Left the area clean. Once again thank you Mr. Kelley for respecting the elderly.

We are very happy that they were helping us on our new house. Very good energy and fun to have around.

Based on previous excellent reviews I did not shop around for price, etc. Accepted Sonny's estimate and reputation. I was very wrong. When I requested the 10% senior discount he advertised, the best he offered was 5%. That would have been okay if the work done was anywhere near what I expected. The replacement walk does not follow a straight line and the spacing is irregular. In addition,days after the work was done I called Sonny to tell of my discontent in that he bricks were showing white. He told me that he had never experienced this before and didn't know what he could do about it. I asked if he could just come and see the problem and perhaps offer some suggestion. He said he would. He never has. I, at age 84, took it upon myself to use a scrub brush and detergent to wash and hose down the bricks. It looks somewhat better but not perfect. Although he and his son suggested they could hose down the walk when they were done, I had turned the outdoor faucet off for the winter. They never suggested it might have been necessary. I would easily have turned it on for them, as I did when I needed it.

This was an excellent experience Sonny answered all my phone calls and emails, he promptly came to the house and gave me a reasonable quote. He performed the work almost immediately. He did a tremendous job repairing my front steps with a new layer of bricks on top of each step while preserving the foundation and saving me a lot of money versus having to completely remove the structure. The work was excellent and although it appeared to have cost him a little more than he quoted me, he insisted on me paying only what he quoted me. This man is a true professional, you will not be sorry if you hire him. Thank you Sonny.

Sonny's an ace veteran mason who runs a top-flight operation. He was immediately responsive, and provided a clear and thorough assessment of the work to be done. He offered a competitive bid--and stood by the amount despite some minor changes. He didn't tack on extra fees of any kind. Further, he was prompt scheduling the work--and completed it a timely manner. The work was first-rate--even though there were some unforeseen challenges. Sonny kept his eye on the big picture while never losing sight of the small details. Highly recommended!

Sonney came out to look at the job. He later called back with the price. He was flexible with the scheduling. On the day of the job, he and his colleague showed up on time with all the needed materials. The work was done neatly and accurately. They cleaned up the work area and even coiled up the hose where it belonged.

He did not return phone calls promptly at all. Either my sort of problem/work was not in his wheelhouse, or he's really stepping back from his sole proprietorship. My experience was like herding cats.
