Ideal Floor Covering - Hyannis - Falmouth

We have used Ideal Floor for over twenty years. Our sales person was very helpful in assisting us in the flooring that would be best for every room..the sales person we felt was truly concerned that we got the right flooring so it would not only last a long time but fit with the style of our home. The sales person gave us the dates that would work best for our installation. The installation men arrived on time and worked non stop to get all the flooring installed (very impressed) they were very personable, and nice to have in our home. they are a very reputable company, and whenever we need floor covering we will always go right to Ideal Floor, and recommend them anytime we are asked. our flooring gets compliments from most everyone that comes in our home..

I stopped at Ideal Floor Covering in Hyannis and the sales person was very attentive and helpful in choosing the right carpets for each room. When I mentioned Angie's list, she asked me to print out the 15% off coupon and bring it with me next time. She also was able to come that very day to measure our house, she was on time and very professional. I was very pleased with the service and pleased with the carpet selection. Two days later I returned the carpet samples and the sales representative said she has not done the estimate yet, but I will get it soon. That was 9 days ago and I still don't have my estimate. I also visited another flooring store at the end of that week to get a second estimate and decided to go with them - I got the estimate that very day and my carpets will be installed next week. In conclusion, the customer service was superb and very knowledgeable but not very responsive in delivery of the estimate.

Sales Rep did a great job of following through until he got the order and 50% payment. Then we had to chase him for information regarding status of rug order and when it would be install. The time of installation was changed but we weren't advised and as a result weren't prepaired when installers arrived.

The girl that helped us from Ideal Floor Covering was very nice. She came out to do all the measuring. They were very helpful, the quality was fine, and their professionalism was fine.

The salesperson came to measure right after we left the showroom and we had the estimate less than 2 hours later. We were able to bring some samples home to match up with the rooms. We accepted the estimate the next day and the installation was done 1 week later. The installers were very professional and did a great job.

The estimator showed up on time, did a thorough measurement of the work involved, and spent time answering our questions. She told us we would have her estimate in a couple of days. We received a partial estimate about 10 days later, which included all of the flooring but not the stairs. We were told that we would need to find our own finish carpenter to take care of the railings and the kick plates under the kitchen cabinet. We did not use this contractor, since the estimate without the stairs and railings was over 50% higher (over $8000 more) than the contractor we did choose, whose estimate did include the stairs, railings, newel posts, balusters, and kick plates - and who did an absolutely fabulous job on the floors.

They are very very good. The installation of the floor was good and with finish they were supposed to do any type of finish and they put in another finish instead so when I brought to their attention the owner made good on it and he sent the guys back out there and then they redid it the thing and corrected the problem. They are very helpful.

Jennifer was very professional and really helpful. Her assistance through the process of selecting the right product for my home was so valuable. She visited my home a couple of times during the selection process to ensure we got it right - and we did. It was an especially difficult job to remove the existing floor as it was very thick slate. Also, as often occurs with older homes, there were surprises when the old floor was removed. The crew did an excellent job removing the old floor (it was really unpleasant, hard work) and handling the surprises. I am especially pleased with the quality of their installation. Really nice job! I strongly recommend Ideal to anyone who is buying new flooring for their home.

So far a good experience, and I am planning on engaging them when it's time for product purchase and installation.

From the time we met Lisa at the store in Falmouth to the completion of the install it went perfect. Lisa showed up at 9:00 am on the dot to measure and the installer showed up at 8:00am sharp. Work was done to my satisfaction and we were asked specific questions along the way to keep the process rolling. We are already planning to contact Ideal again for future work!

Working with Jennifer Quigley was very comfortable. I was really nervous about doing this project. I had been to 2 or 3 other flooing places prior to going to Ideal Flooring. She immediately gave me her full attention, put me at ease and addressed all my questions and concerns in a clear manner. She was a great help in assisting me with the flooring choice. Prior to the flooring being installed I was having a staircase rebuilt & needed to select flooring in advance so that the new staircase could be built to meet up with the upstairs hallway where some of the new flooring was to be installed. After making my selection and submitting the order we discovered my selection was no longer available. By this time the new staircase had been installed. I needed to be able to locate new flooring that I liked, that was within my budget and that was the same thickness as what I had based the rebuilt staircase on to ensure the stairs & hallway would meet flush. Jennifer was very helpful in this endeavor. Once ordered Jennifer worked with me in scheduling the installation to work with my schedule. Once scheduled the work was accomplished within the estimated time frame and the house was left in reasonably clean condition. The only issue I had was when the installation crew informed me that the doors that had been removed during installation would not now fit and that I would have to hire someone to cut down the doors & reinstall them. I was very upset that nothing had been said at any time leading up to the removal and non-replacement of the doors in question. I contacted Jennifer who took care of the matter in an efficient manner. I love the new flooring. Wish I'd done it several years ago.

They were excellent. She was on time. She was thorough. She gave a detailed explanation.

I shopped in the Hyannis store. The staff was very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. I picked out the carpet finalized the details for the work. The next day a staff member came and measured and computed the cost of the product and work involved. She emailed me a proposal that I viewed and responded to. The product was ordered that day and two weeks later workman came and installed the carpet and took away the old carpet. The workman were quiet, polite, quick and professional. I have only high praise for this company.

The company was thorough and professional. They visited in advance to measure and examine my floors, in order to advise me on two issues: whether certain water and food stains would be removed in the process, and how well they could match two different woods that had been installed in the past (the original hardwood that was in the dining room had lost its stain, but the hardwood that had been installed in the contiguous kitchen had a factory-finish that still retained its shine). They advised that the entire floor be sanded and refinished, and I agreed to that. I did not choose the "dustless" process, which was more extensive, but I asked that the company to protect/block off carpeted areas of the home where they would not be working. The company was aware of my time frame, due an an upcoming family gathering, and met my schedule by extending their work into a weekend. The finished product was excellent: past stains were removed, and I could not tell the difference between the two different woods that had been laid in my kitchen and adjoining dining room. I also was impressed with the care with which my furniture was moved and replaced, at relatively little expense, and the cleanliness of the site when they were done. My communications with them were prompt, both by phone and email, and I felt well informed throughout the process.

They did fabulous work. It was good. I most certainly will use them in the future.

It was good flooring, I was very satisfied with the quality of the floor, and their customer service. They answered all my questions effectively.

I visited the showroom where the staff helped select some tile. Then they gave me a rough estimate of the cost based on the measurements I had provided. Within the next day or two the estimator visits us and took their own measurements and gave us the written estimate which was essentially the same as the rough estimate. I then scheduled a time for the work to be done. The crew (1 man and a supervisor) arrived on schedule and performed the work. The work was performed on time with no subsequent problems. The work looks great. The price was reasonable.

Everybody was really nice but I didn't select them because it was too high.? They were very professional and very helpful.

They were very nice and good. ?The job wad done very well. ?I would recommend them to others.? I will use them again in the future. ?The quality of their work is quite good.

I think they charged me about $800 for that service.? I thought that the sales people were good, but the quality of their stuff was a B plus.? I had one objection because I had bought some flooring for them and they told me that somebody else was going to install some wood flooring.? They told me it could be returned, but later I couldn?t, so I was lost out about $200.

They did a nice job prepping the area and putting up a dust barrier to keep the area as neat as possible. They arrived on time each morning and finished up what they needed to do in a timely manner and left the jobsite neat and orderly. The gentlemen who performed the work were very nice, accommodating and professional. The finished product looked great, though there were a few areas that the varnish bubbled as though there was dust/debris trapped under the polyurethane. The overall experience was acceptable. HOWEVER, our dog was being kept in the basement for the duration of the project and we let them know where he was. After they had applied the second layer of poly, the basement door was not secured properly and the dog managed to get upstairs and walk on the new finish! I understand that it is not their responsibility to look after our dog, but more care could have been taken to prevent the mishap. The company responded within a day's time and they came back the next morning to redo the finish and it looked just as nice as the day before. As it turned out, we split the cost of the repair, which we conceded was a fair solution. I would recommend the company again, but I would ensure that if you have pets or children that the area is completely safeguarded and the workers are aware of any access points that might compromise the project so that they can take appropriate precautions.

We had read many reviews of other flooring services and the myriad things that can go wrong with materials, shoddy installation, hidden costs, poor estimates, indifferent and even rude people, and lack of knowledge by reps. We may have paid a little extra, though the price was very reasonable, and we got first rate service and top quality work. From the outset Sharon explained all our flooring options and gave us ball-park estimates for various materials. We were under no pressure to select any product, and were given choices, comparisons, discounts information, and all the pros and cons of various choices and materials. All through the process, Sharon gave us the information we needed and answered all our questions with professionalism and her exceptional eye for color, design, and layout. It all went very smoothly, and we couldn't have been more pleased. Flooring choices can be very complicated, and Sharon guided us along very patiently. Ideal Floors of Hyannis is a superior operation, in our experience.

The installer was very professional. He made sure the floor was 100% perfect which took longer, but the results are worth it.

They are the best. The last job was a big project. Their service is phenomenal. They are just amazing. They have got a better selection. They have a much bigger store with more selection. They have been around for a long time. Their service is fantastic and they are fantastic as well. They are always on time and they have never been late. We recommend them all the time and to all of our clients. We have nothing but great reviews. Their price is excellent. We would definitely use their services in the future too.
