We were very close to using them but we didn't. They were very good and we would give them a good recommendation for their estimate. Their people were very nice.

In each case the work was done promptly and professionally. Prices were reasonable, the scheduling and work was done well, with a follow-up call to make sure we were satisfied. Sales people are very nice. Only minor complaint: the selection is not always large, particularly in vinyl. Were unable to get a linoleum floor (which we would have preferred to vinyl). Overall very pleased.

We were given a fair price for the flooring and installation. An associate came to our house and measured the rooms, the thickness of the original floor and the heating vents on the floor. I explained that I wanted the grates installed with the flooring so that they would be level with the floor. The wood was ordered, the installer came and began to install the floor. The room was empty (cabinets had been removed). I asked the installer about the grates. He said he'd take care of it (although at that point I should have realized that his English was very limited). He began to install the floor, carefully laying the boards on the diagonal as requested. When I looked, I saw that he had gone past the first grate and had not put in the requested flush-with-the-floor grate. Again I asked and was assured that it would be done. The next time I saw the floor, it was complete and still no grates. I asked the supervisor and was told that the grates would be inserted on top of the floor. That was not what I wanted or had asked for, but I was resigned to that. When no grates at all appeared, I called Ideal and was told that none were ordered and none were available. So now, I had unevenly sawn rectangular holes in the floor and nothing to cover them. I was told that I would need to find the grates and stain them myself to match the wood. Ideal did give me the name of a company where I could buy unfinished grates. I bought them and tried to stain them. They did not match the floor at all. I asked for help and was told I'd need to find the grates and match them myself. The flooring installer removed the folding doors in the laundry room. When they were rehung, they would not open or close. We had to pay for planing them so that they were functional. I noticed creaking noises when walking on the floor. I called Ideal, and went by to let them know about the noises. To this day, no one has contacted me. The final straw was when we discovered that our security system wasn't working. We called the security company who came to our house. They discovered that the wires had been cut during the flooring installation. We paid $78 to have the repair done. We submitted the bill to Ideal Flooring and were told that we would be reimbursed. Months have passed and we have not received the reimbursement. My husband has stopped by the company numerous times and were told that the check was being mailed. The last time he went, he was told that the accountant who cuts the checks was in Greece and was to return in the coming week. We still have not seen the check. We are very disappointed in the company and feel that the process and installation were unsatisfactory.

We wanted to replace our 20 year old vinyl flooring in our kitchen & dining room, and carpeting in 2 rooms, a hallway, and stairway. Larry at Ideal Flooring found a good price for the materials, and found out any answers we needed if he didn't already know them. Although he was the salesperson, he made himself readily available for questions throughout the entire installation, at one point dropping off some material himself that the installer forgot to bring. Larry called us as soon as the material arrived & the installation took place in a timely manner. Overall, we were also happy with the installation. There was one problem that occurred - the installer didn't get the cove base in the kitchen straight enough for me. I called Larry, and the installer came out the next day with brand new cove base and replaced it to my satisfaction. I would recommend this company and highly recommend Larry Maddeford as a salesperson.
