If you are searching for an honest, hard working and knowledgeable handyperson, then do not hesitate to contact Laurie Kraynick of Home Assist here on Cape Cod. She did all that was requested - and more - but not before consulting with us to ensure the work was what we wanted, even offering suggestions for work that could wait til later or needed to be done ASAP, and taking the time to just sit and talk with us!!! She is a one-woman can-do-it-all handywoman. (I almost hate to give this review because this will probably mean she'll be even busier than she is now!!!) So glad we contacted Laurie. I felt she came in as a contracted worker - but left as a friend..

Laurie came one day and got the "gunk"off the bricks in the fireplace. She came back 24 hours later, to put a sealant on the bricks. It looks great .Couldn't be happier.

It was a great experience. Contacted Laurie from Angie's list. She came, proposed an answer to the problem, and gave me a price. She returned and fixed the bookshelves. I also showed her a long time problem (lime disfiguring fireplace bricks). She diagnosed the problem. proposed a solution, gave me a price. She will be back soon to fix the fireplace. Prompt, friendly service. No hidden costs. Job well done. Laurie will be a permanent fixture in my Rolodex. And I have already given her name to friends and neighbors.

As an out-of-state owner of a house on the Cape, I frequently need assistance with handyman-type work. I contacted Laurie Kraynick because of the good reviews and convenient location. She assessed the work that needed to be done, sent me photos and an estimate, and completed the work in the agreed-upon timeframe. She then sent photos of the completed work, which consisted of putting wood blocks in the areas next to the garage door to close gaps, and creating a wood "sweep" on the rear door to the yard. I have not seen the work in person, but am satisfied from the photos that the problems are likely solved as well as they can be. I was impressed with Laurie's responsiveness and would definitely use her again.

Every Angie's List review gave Home Assist its highest rating and I concur. Laurie gave a reasonable estimate (less than 50% what Home depot wanted), arrived on time, removed the old fan, and installed and balanced the new one, . I shall certainly call her again.

She performed a series of miscellaneous projects and they were all very well done. She had all the resources and tools necessary and she really paid attention to details. We have made definite plans to have her back again.

Very well.... We are planning to use this company to pain an outdoor fence and repair some shingles on side of house..... They were very punctual and professional.

Laurie arrived on time,did a great job of removing a very unwieldy microwave. She is extremely professional and knowledgable. I will definitely use her again when I need home repairs done.

ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! I contacted Laurie through Home Assist. Laurie came out within a day or so to look at projects and provide estimate. We arranged date and time and I also liked that she kept in contact. The fan fought her but she kept working no problem! I told her it's like watching a t.v. show...everything works the first time! Extremely personable and professional! This was my first time using Angieslist.com List and boy did I luck out when I found Laurie! She even made a courtesy second trip back! Can't say enough good things about Laurie. Down to earth and honest!! Already booked her for another project! A definite keeper!!!

Well I have been searching for 4 months to find a cost effective person to do some small work to do some work on our second home in Wareham. God was good to me to allow me to find a angel who does it right the first time and for a very fair price. This lady did outstanding work with before and after photos .. She did it for her cost estimate with no surprises. She found some other small repairs that she recommend in the right way that it would be good to hit the repai while it was not far advanced and you just get to trust this great lady for her stand up way of doing business. I rest easy now that I have a handy woman who is honest as the day is long and does just great work. Take it from me this is the company for you if you have work to be done on the Cape... All went very well. Laurie and I communicated via the message area on Angie's website. Because she was unsure of a specific time of arrival, Laurie told me she would contact me later in the day with an update of her arrival. And she did. Laurie arrived with tools and all she needed to do the job. She also worked on other areas of the molding to make sure that all was secure before leaving. She was very professional.

It went very well, Laurie found one dead bat and removed it. She also walked the house to see if and where they might be getting in. Laurie didn't charge me for her time , which I thought was very thoughtful of her. We have told her we will be using her for any repairs or problems.

It went beautifully. Laurie is very competent and has a tremendous amount of knowledge about home maintenance, repair, painting, etc. There is not a home repair that I would not entrust to her. She is a Navy veteran where she was a loadmaster on a large plane, she knows a lot about mechanical repairs (automobile, home appliances, etc.) and she is a very intelligent woman and I would highly recommend her to homeowners who have repairs that need to be done, both minor and major. She paints beautifully and is a real perfectionist and her prices are very reasonable for what she does. We are grateful we have hired her and we shall do so again in the future when we have need of this type of service. These services were performed both at our own home and two rental homes we own.

Laurie was on time, did what she was contracted to do, (and more for free). She did a great job painting, she was neat and complete.
