Description of Work: Didn't use these guys but they were professional and punctual with upfront pricing. Their quotes were itemized and detailed. I used Rainbow Roofing because my father in law used them twice before. I would not hesitate to use these guys either.

Description of Work: Removed old roof shingles and replaced with ice-shield and new roof. One older model sky-lite and some trim boards required replacement which was addressed during initial quote process. Worked very quickly (completed job in 3 days) and fairly respectful of the yard. My only problem was finding roofing nails in the driveway for a while after they were gone. They came back and ran their magnet back over the yard and drive after I complained. Overall I'd say good job and well worth it.

Description of Work: After this past severe winter with snow dams building up on two flat portions of my roof, Mike installed two rubber roofs and added about 27 air soffits in the roof eaves, cleaned out my wood gutters and linseed them afterwards. Communications were easy either phone calls or email. Came out to estimate not only mine but 3 other neighbors gutter problems. Mike knowledge of roofing and how to repair was excellent. My neighbors were impressed. It took about 1 month after the estimate to actually schedule the repairs since he was so busy after this winter, understandably. His crew of two came out, one spoke very little English, the other none at all, but they knew what needed to get done. During the job someone came out to check on the being done who spoke English, everything was going as planned. After the job was completed, Mike followed up via email and wanted to know if everything was fine. Hard to say since it did not rain so could not tell if the rubber roofing leaked or not. After a huge rain storm, no leaks so everything seems ok. It's hard to tell what kind of work it is on the roof since it's so high to see and I cannot stand heights to climb up to inspect. So far so good, I would use again. Bill

He looked over the roof and indicated he would provide an estimate by email. I have not received the estimate yet but it has only been a few days since he came to my house.

Description of Work: The guys from Viola roofing were responsive, even during a time when everyone needed their roof fixed, and many other folks were not even returning my calls. They took time to come visit, give an honest estimate. The cost was as expected, more reasonable than others. They were efficient, and cleaned up well after themselves (better than previous roofers we had). I would use them again for our slate roof.

He came by within a few days of my request (submitted through Angie's List), did a thorough evaluation of our existing roof, was very upfront about the fact that part of our roof could probably last a bit longer (it was an addition) but recommended we replace the whole thing which was the logical choice. We placed a deposit of 1/3 the price with a commitment to pay another 1/3 at the midpoint of the job and the final 1/3 when it was complete. | |Around four weeks later Mike's team came out and were able to completely strip and replace my entire roof in one day. I had a few questions about what they did after the fact and Mike was quick to reply to my emails with explanations. | |They did an excellent job protecting the sides of the house and the grounds, we only found one spot where they forgot to collect the nails (under one of our downspouts). | |In all they did a FANTASTIC job and a VERY fair price. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to have a roof repaired or replaced and, though I don't ever expect to need them, I would use them again in a heartbeat. |

Description of Work: Mike Viola did the estimate for our new roof.His reviews on Angie's list were outstanding He suggested that the two old family room skylights be replaced at the same time (one had lost it's seal), as to not disturb a new roof later. We agreed.(They don't do inside finish work,minimal in this case, however.) |We were given one day notice when they would start. One negative was the quick, hot, crawl space scramble to cover items stored in attic with tarps. |A team of 9 workers arrived promptly the next morning and by the end of the day, the job was done. They included the shed roof as well. They replaced damaged frame wood if they found it. Clean up was quick and we found very few nails around the foundation. |The skylights have solar shades and came missing the proper wand opener and screws/tape to fit controllers on the wall. One call to Mike and they solved the problem without question within a few days without extra cost. |Very pleasant and professional. |Now, we hope Mother Nature doesn't present an extreme test to our new roof next winter. | |

Description of Work: I had a new roof ($12k) installed along with a new replacement ($600) skylight put on the end of the year of 2013. They had to remove all three layers of shingles that the prior owner/s had on. So there were a lot of debris. They did tarp each side of the house when removing the debris. However, prior to tarping the house, they forgot to tarp my new vinyl picket fence. It was exposed and the debris and residue fell on it. I did expressed to the roofing owner that I wanted that tarp as well, but communication lapse between him and the supervisor on-site. After I saw it wasn't tarped, some of the roof's residue got onto the fence. I told the supervisor that it should have been tarped as I spoke with the roofing owner and they did have their workers use some cleaning products to remove the film that the roof's debris left. Thank goodness it came off!! They did tarped it after cleaning it. The workers did sweep and use the metal broom to locate any nails in my driveway, my neighbor's driveway and my backyard. I had to go behind the workers afterwards to sweep to pick-up any remaining nails or debris. I would have done that regardless, I wanted to be 100% sure that all debris and nails are removed to my satisfaction. They also at the time of the contract installed new gutters for me as well ($2,200). That's not included in the $12,600 price I mentioned for the roof and the skylight. The prices I was satisfied with. The year of 2014 and this past terrible New England winter we had in 2015, I still saw large icicles hanging from my roof/gutters. So I will call them this summer to install heating cables on the perimeter of my roof - hopefully it will eliminate those dangerous icicles that could potentially be fatal to my family. *Another note, being an Angie's member, Viola roofing offered a small discount - at that time; if you got a full roof installed. If I can recall correctly $250. I forgot to mention it when finalizing the contract. So I didn't benefit from it. It would have been a great customer service etiquette, if it was offered to me. Any discount helps! :( So I say that to remind potential customers, if they are running a discount to remember and have the discount printed out when discussing your contract. Overall, I was satisfied with the vendor and as I mentioned will call them back to install roofing cables - hopefully that's a service they offer. I would recommend them to fellow Angie's members and non-members!! Once I save my money up, they might be the contenders to install vinyl siding for my house!!

Description of Work: We've had a very positive experience with Viola Roofing. Our ceiling had some damage from ice dams and they sent workers to fix the edge of the roof. The only issue was that after we've agreed on the work to be done and the price, the workers just showed up one day, without a prior phone call. But I called Mr. Viola and was reassured they were sent by him. Thus "B" for punctuality. Description of Work: Hired to clear snow from roof and ice dams from gutters. Mike the owner was great and very responsive. His crew did a great job. We are hiring them to replace our roof,gutters,fascia and soffet. Mike has been great to work with so far and has been patient with our many questions about how to fix our ice dam issues resulting in water leaks in our house. We look forward to our new roof and will update after completion.

Description of Work: I have used Viola Roofing for many years. They put a rubber roof on my 4 family and a roof on my primary residence. Everyone is very professional and very nice to work with. They recently shoveled the entire roof for me at my 4 family and checked for ice in gutters, etc. The owner is very friendly and their prices can't be beat. I will continue to use Viola Roofing and refer them to everyone I know.
