Description of Work: I used the services of Viola Roofing and Contracting. They replaced the roof especially areas where there are shingles or plywood to be replaced. They replaced the ice stand. They also installed the gutters.

Description of Work: During a home inspection for my new home, the inspector found a few vents on the roof that were installed after the roof was put in, and were not done correctly. After purchasing the home, I called Mike Viola and asked if he would do a job like this? We made an appointment, he arrived on time, told me what he would do and how much he would charge. He did the job with in the time frame that we agreed to. I was impressed with his professionalism and follow through. I will recommend him in the future.

I find this rude: I'm a doctor, and I get plenty busy....imagine if I just didn't bother to respond when I couldn't see a patient! If you are too busy to help, that's OK - but say so, and indicate when you might be available: my job can wait a few months, I just want to organize it in advance.

Description of Work: New roof on house and garage, new siding.

Description of Work: Needed to have Flashing around chimmny as well as repointing done. Mike returned call in a timely manner. Arranged time to estimate job. Showed up on time, friendly and well informed about what needed to be done. On day of job did work in quiet, compatent manner with no disturbance of family inside house. I would use this company again for any roofing needs based on this expeirence and have no problem highly recommending them to others.

Description of Work: This was a new roof....they stripped off the old shingles, installed the ice and water barrier and underlayment, and new architectural shingles.Mike and his team were great to work with. Very professional, and conscientious. On the appointed day, the materials were delivered, the dumpster was dropped off, and the crew showed up all within 15 minutes of each other. The job was done in one day, and everything cleaned up nicely. The roof looks great, and I would highly recommend Viola.

Description of Work: I had Mike Viola and his team replace part of the red cedar shake roof on my antique cape. This job included replacing an older skylight with a new copper trimmed skylight and repair of the interior ceiling of the kitchen below. Top quality products, including copper gutters/edging, were used throughout. Mike Viola was very quick and accurate in providing me with the estimate for this job. The workers were wonderful and left the area exceptionally clean afterwards. The work was done on schedule, and I have already lined up Mike to continue another section of exterior shingles and roof. I am very pleased to have found Mike Viola on Angie's List.

Description of Work: I contacted Viola Contracting and got an immediate call back from Mike Viola, the owner. We scheduled a time to look over the work -- he climbed onto the roof to do an overall inspection, diagnosed a problem with a chimney leak, and gave me a detailed description of how the new roof would be installed. He gave me a book of shingle examples to choose from and made some very good recommendations for my house. The roofing team arrived as scheduled ad Mike was with them to get the job started. The roofers were incredibly industrious -- they got to work immediately and kept going throughout the first day until the entire side of the roof was completed and finished their clean up at dusk. They finished the other side of the roof the second day and did a thorough clean up all around the house -- picking up debris and then using a leaf blower to gather all of the small pieces. Everything was piled into the dumpster that was picked up on the same day. The work was well done and the roofers were polite, knowledgeable and they worked with remarkable harmony and good spirits amongst them. They made the whole experience of a costly and major piece of home repair very easy. One last note about the cost -- I got 3 bids from 3 different companies. They all proposed the same work, the same high quality of materials (guarantees on the shingles, special protection against ice dams, etc.). Viola's price was well below the other bids. This is a great company and I highly recommend them!

Description of Work: We hired Mike to replace our roof, install flashing, replace rotting trim boards and add ridge and soffit vents. He and his team were very professional and performed outstanding work. Mike throughout he entire process was extremely helpful and very customer friendly. I found Mike on Angie's list and wrote an email requesting a quote. He showed up the same day and was able to generate a quote prior to his leaving the house. When speaking with Mike, he was very honest explaining what roof work needed to be done as opposed to over selling me on work that was superfluous. His pricing was very reasonable and communication with me throughout the project excellent. The end result is fantastic! The roof is beautiful and will look so for many years to come. Mike ensured that everything was done to my satisfaction including replacing some trim that was weathered as opposed to rotting. Overall, we are very pleased with the result and gladly recommend Mike to anyone needing a great roof!
