RC Hardwood Floors

Our floors look absolutely wonderful! They did a fantastic job and cleaned up everything as they worked. Would recommend them to anyone wanting to have their hardwood floors refinished. We had no idea that our floors could look so great! They even helped move a sofa that we couldn't move - both out of the living room and then back in when the job was finished. Three people came out to complete the work. They worked off and on for about three to four days. The man is a very smooth talker. If a family member or friend was going to hire them I would just tell them to make sure about costs and what work will be done. They did a decent job.

I ended up cancelling the deal because I sold the home, but they were very professional and responsive on the phone.

They are very reliable. This is the 2nd time we've used them for floor refinishing (on different floors).

It went very well. We were happy. Two people came out. They came and did what they said they would do. We paid more because we had more floor to sand and refinish . The floors still look good. Their prices were reasonable.

The service turned out fine. I had not used them before. I think they were very responsive, they stayed on schedule, and the work was good quality. I would recommend them.

To accommodate our needs, he agreed to do the job in two parts. The work was completed with minimal mess & the finished floors are gorgeous. I would definitely hire them again.

The assignment wasn't easy, I had carpet that was removed but for some reason the padding under the carpet melted and glued directly into the hardwood. I was hand scrapping it off for weeks until I decided to look for help. I had 4-5 people come in and quote me the job. All of them more expensive then Richard and all of them told me they couldn't use their machines so the work would take weeks. Richard was able to do the work in 3 days and the floors look brand new! Him and Renee were responsive to all of my emails and the work was done ahead of schedule. Could not be happier with the experience!

Floors were in rough shape, but look beautiful now. The crew from RC was very profession and courteous over the week long job. RC was very upfront with pricing and what the job would entail. He did not try to upcharge, over sell or sqeeze any additional $$ out of his orginal quote. Job went exactly as orginally outlined by RC. No complaints and would highly recommend to my neighbors.

I never heard back from them after leaving messages. Shame, as all the reviews seemed so positive, I was looking forward to connecting with them.

Only concern is once the floor dried and I could enter the room, I realized that there were areas near the edge of the room where the polyurethane was not spread out evenly and it pooled a bit. Some spots nearest to the edge were not covered at all but not too noticeable.

It was excellent. That was a long time ago. Maybe that was I purchased, the big deal purchase, a month later. They did a really good job, comprehensive, and very professional that they did a great job.

Excellent work. Floor looks great! They put 3 coats of oil based polyurethane on over 2 days. Their dust containment system worked well.

We were and are still very impressed with what they did. They did an excellent job.

Basically, they showed up on time. They did as requested. They cleaned everything up. They didn't leave anything behind. They scheduled up the followup. They sanded in successive layers. They had to remove the dryer out to get access to power which was expected and they did a good job with that and moved it out. They put it back when they were done each day. I really had no issues. The floor certainly looks worlds better than it did. I do have 2 other rooms with hardwood that I plan to eventually get them back out here to do. I just haven't set it up yet but this was the test room with them and I thought they did a good job.

It was easy to schedule the work, even though I had very specific dates (wanted the week following plastering and painting of the same areas). I did schedule well in advance, and then just contacted them the week before, to re-confirm, as had been requested. Got a very quick reply to my emails, both initially and to reconfirm. Crew (2 people on days 1 & 3) were here when they said, and they worked quickly and efficiently. We were ready (having had this crew do other floors here two previous times): all furniture out of the spaces, plastic up at doorways leading into other spaces, and heavy paper taped to entry hallway and back hall where I knew they would hook-up sander to power. There was some sawdust to clean up on top surfaces of doors and in the groove of the woodwork meeting the floor on all walls, but not too bad. Nothing is completely dustless! Crew was here early enough each day that poly was dry by 8 or 9 p.m., which meant I could stay here each evening. Crew turned on box fan in window before putting down each poly coat, to pull odor out of the area, and it worked well. The floors were not in terrible shape--just dulled with 30 years of traffic and scratched/scraped here and there. They did a great job dodging the newly painted woodwork, which I appreciated! (Only one quite small nick.) The floors look really great! We'll have the same company back to do more, once we've caught our breath and have time to schedule another room or two. We appreciate this company's willingness to come to do relatively small jobs each time (3 times now), given that we cannot do the entire place at once (no place to put everything, short of having a moving company come take things and put them in short-term storage; and want to stay here the entire time while work is done).

They did a great job - the floors were very scuffed and scraped, and they refinished them without any wood dust or mess!

It all went beautifully, especially since I was helping my son achieve these hardwood floors (which he's wanted for so long)--not so easy since he lives in the Boston area while I am in Connecticut! Richard was a pleaure to work with--even a cheerleader, I'd say--considering how many times I pestered him with silly question about this job. Further, he was so very nice and encouraging to my son (who has some disabilities). This past weekend, we visited my son for his birthday, and saw the new floors for the first time. The floors themselves and their installation are just breathtakingly beautiful! My son's roommate held a birthday party for him, and the first thing everyone coming in remarked was not "Happy Birthday," but "What gorgeous floors!" The mellow shade of solid, interlocking bamboo flows so seamlessly from the living area into the bedroom. A perfect job! All I can say about RC Flooring is that they are nice, considerate people who do beautiful work. Having lived in my own house in CT for 50 years, I've hired many professionals to work on it (with a variety of good/bad experiences). I'd certainly rate RC Flooring as top tie in all ways!

Rc Hardwood was very professional. They arrived when they said, kept the kitchen blocked off so dust would not spread, and did a beautiful job. We paid extra for an additional coat of varnish which is holding up well. We would definitely ask them back.

Experience was quite good. The initial coordination of schedules was a little frustrating but once the job started, the experience was very good. The floors look beautiful. The employees were very nice and thorough. We were very happy with results. Not cheapest option but very good workmanship quality.

The floors were sanded beautifully, but they ran out of varnish before the third coat completed so they simply "stretched" the last coat on a portion of the floor. The floor shows obvious "bare" spots, but they never called to check if I was satisfied, so I will be forced to contract someone else to have the floor finished properly.

They did a very good job. They were very professional. We're awaiting the outcome right now on a couple of things but so far so good!
