Description of Work: I bought a Big Deal from them for 100 sq. ft. of hardwood floor sanding and refinishing.

Description of Work: Friendly guys, great job on floors. My only complaint about the work is that they didnt' curtain off the rooms being worked on, so there was quite a lot of dust to clean up afterward. I still have several floors that need work and I will definitely call them again.

Description of Work: They sanded and applied 3 coats of polyurethane to the solid oak floor of our family room. They came on schedule for both the initial work and followup coats. They use a procedure that minimizes dust, which can sometimes be messy for floor refinishing. They did an excellent job, were very professional in carrying it out, and seemed glad to get the work, even though it was heavily discounted using the Angies List Big Deal coupon. On the whole, it was an excellent job at a bargain price and we're planning to use them again for other work.

Description of Work: We took advantage of a Groupon deal with RC Hardwood Floors. Richard and his team did a remarkable job of refinishing an oak floor that had been covered with carpet for 20 years and had signs of water stains from many years of carpet shampooing. They were able to get out all the stains and left us with a beautiful natural finish oak floor with a durable polyurethane finish. The only down side was the fumes from the urethane but the finish we ended up with was well worth a fan in the window for a few days. I would highly recommend and we plan to use Richard again for more rooms as we renovate.

Description of Work: This contractor refinished our kitchen floor, which is approximately 116/sf more than was covered by the discount coupon for services at $399. He added $350 for the additional space + an extra $200 because the work was in the kitchen in close proximity to kitchen cabinets at or near the floor. I do NOT think the price was very good; certainly not a "special" deal because I had another contractor via Angie's List who gave me a bid for approximately the same amount without the Angie's List discount coupon. After sanding and vacuuming the floor and puting down one coat of polyurethane on Day 1, the contractor returned on Day 2 to put down a second coat. Finally, on Day 3 they returned for a third and final coat. I was generally pleased with the work on Day 1 because the owner was present with his young son. After Day 1, I dealt with the son and another worker, and I thought the communication slipped a bit. For instance, they had come early as promised on Days 1 and 2, but came several hours later on Day 3 without calling. They also left a large garbage bag of sawdust and work materials in our driveway on Day 1. When I asked them on Day 3 to take the bag with them, they said they would do so on Day 4 when they came to apply a 4th coat. When I pointed out that the owner said there would only be 3 coats, they said they would take it that day. Another concern with cleanup is that all of the kitchen cabinet kickplates were splattered with the residue from sanding, which I had to clean up. I would have thought that they would clean up something like that. I think it was inadvertent, but they weren't as focused on our needs as much as I thought they should be. The owner's wife, Renee, was excellent throughout the proposal and work process by responding very timely to questions and providing timely information via email.

Description of Work: I bought a "Big Deal" from Angie's List for $400 of one room of sanding and refinishing. When the guys arrived I was convince that I should include the adjacent room as well, since the floors were worn and nothing had been touched in 20 years. RC Hardwoods did a great job. I feel like I am in a new house. Everything looks brand new! The guys were professional and pleasant and everything was neat and tidy at the end. I had anticipated more dust - even with the dust remover, but there was hardly any. My communication with the company was excellent! I would highly recommend this company.

Description of Work: all floors in the house were sanded and refinishes RC was accomodating to our needs, we could not possibly do it all at once, and came back to finish a few rooms and actually touch up scratches that occured while we were moving in to our still freshly done rooms (our fault)

Description of Work: Richard came in and gave a competitive quote to refinished our years old, paint stained floors under carpeting. He also supplied hardwood to patch up part of the floor which was originally plywood. Him and his co-worker did a fantastic job. They were on time, stuck to the quotation price and also worked cleanly and efficiently. The floors came out amazing; 3 coats of varnish. The job took 2 days to sand the floors and varnish each day after for 3 days. I would highly recommend them.
