Precision Door Service

I had called two other local garage door repair companies, had to leave voicemails, and never got a return call. I then called Precision, and a real person answered the phone and had an experienced technician out to my home the next day. The technician Mike Thurber called ahead, arrived right on schedule, and quoted a fair price for the work. Within an hour Mike had the springs, pulleys and rollers on both doors fixed and replaced. Mike did a great job! I'm still waiting on the other companies to call me back. I highly recommend Precision.

The technician had the materials on his truck, he was very careful with his work as I had a vehicle inside the garage, he replaced the springs quickly, he gave me a quick lesson about preventative maintenance (which was more than I was already doing), and he was very professional.

I searched for a company to replace my broken garage door on Home Advisor and Precision Door came up as the default business. I read several reviews, the majority of which were positive. So, I ordered my door from Precision. There was one hiccup when my door was installed. The hiccup was that one of the panels had a crease on it. I informed Precision about this matter and it was resolved. Precision replaced the panel with a new one. The door now looks great and the garage door opener I ordered with the door works fine. I found the company to be very professional and responsive.

Paul was great!! He came in and assessed the problem right away. The problem was that my sensor was not aligned and I had realigned it. I called because I wanted him to test the wiring and he did and he left me with some great tips for using my garage door. He was funny, witty, and polite and loves his new dog!!

He arrived on time, and he called about 15 minutes before so that I was ready. This allowed the appointment time to be used most efficiently.

Precision Door Company was an excellent source from start to finish. I was looking for a matching entry door and garage door for my home. Precision only installs garage doors but continued to help and stepped outside the box to help me get in touch with a Rep that sold the entry door I was looking for. We were having intermittent problems with our garage door not closing on the house we had purchased over a year ago. We called Precision based on the reviews here and we're glad that we did! Paul O. came by early after checking in with us and was quickly able to give us a few options. The hardware on our door was completely shot, and in some cases, installed incorrectly or was inappropriate for our particular door. The panels were in decent condition so we went with a rebuild. He also replaced an old and failing opener with a Wi-Fi enabled unit that we purchased some months ago on our own. We're very pleased with the work Paul performed and we highly recommend Precision!

Mike came a few hours early and when he didn't have the right part got back that afternoon with not only the part (an extra long cable) but also a second Mike to help out. Door now working like a charm. He is returning soon to weather strip and water resist the door which we're very much looking forward to. Several years ago one of their techs spent a very cold Sunday fixing our garage door spring. They're the best.

cables, springs, etc. replaced. Technician was polite, and efficient at diagnosing the problem with the door. Previous system lasted 8 years--time for a new one. He did a great job replacing the lift system--we chose the one with a 7 yr warranty again. I'd rate the service at a 5.

Mike was great. He was right on time for the appointment. He went over all my concerns regarding the garage door. He pinpointed the problem. Offered different choices for the repair. He made the door work like it did when it was new. We were very pleased with the service and would highly recommend. I’ll be telling all my friends.

Ther reason for our low rating was what happened AFTER the repair. The repair person took down our credit card information incorrectly - not getting the CCV number. So, due to an error a team member at Precision Door made, they didn't get paid right away. When my husband called up with credit card in hand ready to pay, the customer service person threatened to rip our garage door springs out to their co-worker because we were late in paying. When he asked for the supervisor, Walt (the owner) got on the line. Walt called my husband a deadbeat and hung up! Extremely poor customer service is an understatement. Making threats to people who are trying to pay their bill is ridiculous. This was a situation that began with an error on this company's part and now they are bullying and making threatening statements. I, therefore, can't recommend them even though I did like the service guy. They should have gotten our credit card payment correct in the first place and none of this would have happened.

Excellent. Mike came out and was on time. He diagnosed problem and explained exactly what needed to be done and gave a quote of the price range for the repair. He did all of the work and showed me a couple of other things I didn’t know about. He helped me sync the garage door with my car. He oiled all of the parts and both of our garage doors are worked better and more smoothly than previously. I would absolutely recommend.

I was looking for a garage door repair company and I read Precision's review for my area on the web. They were on time, friendly and very efficient repair time was about 45 minutes and there was no pressure to do more than what needed I will definitely use them on the future.

I chose precision door because of the website it seemed very professional and lots of favorable reviews. My technician was Barry, he called and said he could arrive about two hours early luckily I was home so that went well. He explained what needed to be done and did it in a quick fashion. Door operates as good as the date it was installed, based on my experience I would recommend this company.

Mike T. was wonderful. He explained the problem with the broken switch, and explained the incompatibility of LED light bulbs and the lift unit. We were thrilled that, as a bonus, he programmed my car to use the car garage door opener which ended the inconvenience of using the clicker. The emergency/same day service fee was steep @$250, plus the repair fee, but it was a relief to have it fixed and the service provider was excellent.

Precision earned a 5 star rating with its exemplary service today. The technician clearly knew the products thoroughly and made a quick diagnosis. Addressing me in a courteous and professional manner he explained what the problem was and the options to handle it. Everything was made clear, I knew what the cost would be and once I approved the work, he completed it efficiently and left everything in perfect order. Then he provided instruction on the new motor package from touch pad to an overview of remote access. We were very happy to invest in a quality product delivered with so little stress.
