Description of Work: In general we were very pleased. We hired More than Able to shovel our roof during the height of the massive snow totals in 2015. We paid a premium but demand for these types of services were high at this time so that was the norm. | |They were courteous and prompt. I only gave a slight deduction because they could have been a bit more gentle with some of the ice removal. I found a small piece of roof tile broken on the ground along with the snow piles which was a bit disappointing to find from a roofer. | |

Description of Work: Removed a very impressive 700lb 12ft tall icefall and ice dam, as well as cleared the snow from the roof above the ice dam. Josh answered our frantic call on Sun and came out the next day. Josh and his guy did a fantastic job, managing to clear all the ice without damaging the house.

Description of Work: Never returned my calls or email. His message machine was full after several times trying to contact him and then I stopped trying. I sent him an email and left two messages. If he was to busy than at least a return phone call stating he wouldn't be able to handle the job for whatever reason.

+ -1 moreWhile I appreciate I contacted More Than Able at a time when they were probably inundated with work due to recent heavy snowfalls in MA, I would have expected, at the very least, a call in response to the message I left on their voice mail system. If your website and answering service talk of monitoring service calls for quality, and offer free estimates, please have the courtesy to respond to potential customers - even if your workload means you cannot take-on additional work at that time. Otherwise, you're going to lose customers for any work in the future, not just their immediate job requests.
Description of Work: No service performed as this company did not return my call.

Description of Work: Ice dams were caausing leaks in my kitchen and basement, followed several days later by leaks in my family room. I found More Than Able (Joshua) on Angie's List, called his number, and after identifying that I had located him on Angie's, he assured me he would help me; he was giving first priority to Angie's List customers. Joshua was professional on the phone, and arrived on time the next day. He and his associate removed snow from a roof and broke ice dams on a gutter. This solved the problem, only to have a second leak appear several days later, and a third leak appear two days later in a different section of my house. Each time I called, Joshua was responsive, arrived on time, and fully accomplished the job. I paid a lot, but considering I always seemed to need him on a weekend, and I'm sure he was exteremely busy, I am quite satisfied.

+ -1 moreWe were charged $700 for an hour's work, and based on what I've been hearing about others' pricing on the radio and reading in the newspapers since then, that seemed high. The contractor responded to my initial report, and we will work out an appropriate arrangement and followup service. The ice dams did return, but that is due to the weather and the construction of our roof which needs to be modified once the snow has melted.
Description of Work: We had water leaks into our house due to ice dams. They showed up with a crew of 2 the next day to remove part of the ice dams on each side of the front of our house as well as snow removal from part of the roof, and we don't own a fiberglass ladder which is necessary due to our electric service coming into the house on one side.

+ -1 moreWe had an ice dam on a Sunday after a really big storm. He was one of the few people that actually answered the phone on a Sunday. He came to our house within a few hours, with another worker, and they broke up all the ice and resolved the ice dam, which was up high and inaccessible by us. He also gave us some advice on avoiding an ice dam in the future.

+ 3 moreHe is a good guy for that kind of job. For one, his price was great. He was also very professional and attentive. He was pretty flexible; we decided along the way to replace the toilet and the sink, to match up. He got it done without a lot of worry. He also did good quality work; he was easy to work with. He followed my suggestions and inputted his own.
Description of Work: He did a bathroom remodel and refinished my hardwood floors. He repaired a defective jacuzzi tub as well.
