Rodenhiser was responsive and I was generally happy with the work. They had to come back a second time for the mixer because the tub started to drip (after they left).

They were polite, courteous, knowledgeable and got the boiler up and running again quickly.

Expected knowledgeable information when a Trip Charge was being paid for to provide the quote.Was informed that the existing Gas pipe in the basement isn't adequate and a new line needs to be installed from outside, price quotes was twice that of other local plumbers who didn't feel the need to pull the new line. Was also informed that my Cloth dryer is currently using Gas(while it mostly certainly is Electric).

They came the same day to fix the problem. At the time we also paid in advance for them to service the units.

They did a great job but it seemed very expensive.

They assessed the situation and had it fixed during the same visit charging many hundreds less than the estimate we got from another local establishment to fix the same problem. We will definitely call them the next time with another heating/plumbing issue.

It turned out fine. The best part was that they fixed it, and there was no worst part not once they got here.

It is great. They were prompt, thorough and clean, completed the job in the time they said. They have responded to all of our questions thoroughly. It is a new type of system to us and they have explained and responded to all of our concerns.

I have a service plan. They are very prompt and easy to schedule. They do a nice job of picking up after themselves and very courteous. I would say they are good.

It went very well! It took 7 months, but not due to anything with the plumbing etc, but rather the new rules governing re-financing. When we finally got the loan approved, things took off from there and we are now the proud owners of a new toilet, sink with vanity (which the space didn't have prior) a great overhead light , outlet (Never enough in an old house!) just put in today, and a linen closet. I chose Rodenhiser because I wanted a company with a wide breath of plumbing experience, because I knew our ancient bathroom would need someone who could problem solve it's unique issues. And I was thrilled with the work, the technicians, office staff and the entire experience.

Service was punctual and thorough. Jim stayed late into the evening (10pm) to finish the job. Huge old boiler and oil tank were removed. Finished job looks great. Sales person was also great. The only complaint I had was that from the start the heater was not producing enough heat for the house as it was getting colder. We called Rodenhiser three times and each time a service man arrived and tweaked the settings on the heater a little. Finally on the coldest day of the wiinter with indoor temps hovering around 55, we called in a panic. Jim, the original installer came that evening and changed out the circulating pump for a larger one. Works perfectly now. Seems like they could have figured this out earlier, but on the plus side, they responded promptly each time we called. Cost of everything was about $13,500, but we got a $3500 MassSave rebate and an interest free 7 year loan all arranged through the company. They are a bit expensive, but arranged this way it was relatively painless.

I have been a customer on the service contract for several years. Today, 10/4 they claimed they had truck problems, computer problems, and telephone problems. All of this resulted in them needing to reschedule my appointment for early November after I have taken the day off to meet their technician. However, I only found this out after I called to inquire about an arrival time.

They were quick, timely, professional, clean, and got along great with the dogs.

I'm new to the area and was seeking a great plumber. Unfortunately, I will never be calling Rodenhiser again. I'll stick to the facts: The receptionist seemed very nice but couldn't give me a ballpark on price and they charge $75 just to come to your house (which can be credited towards repairs). Normally, I would avoid a company that can't give me ballpark over the phone but I figured with all the great reviews they had, I couldn't go wrong. They came to the house and quoted me as follows $470.15 to install faucet that I bought or $840.73 to install faucet that they supply. $811.31 to repair pinhole leak in elbow of baseboard heat pipe. $342.69 to install dishwasher that I already bought (all the connections were already there and old DW already removed). $157.00 to replace flapper valve in toilet. I informed them of my sticker shock when seeing the quote. They said that it was flat pricing so that if something comes up, you don't have to pay extra. However, their prices were almost five times what I expected them to be. Flat pricing doesn't justify increasing the price that much. Since I had to pay $75 just for them coming out, I elected to use that $75 towards the flapper valve on the toilet. (The toilet had been refilling itself every so often.) After they left, I noticed that toilet was refilling itself much more often than it did in the first place. They sent someone back out. They worked on it and said it was all set, but after they left it was, again, refilling more often than originally. They told me that they didn't make replacement parts for this toilet anymore and had used a universal part instead. They also said I could use the money I paid thus far towards a new toilet for the low price of $786 (*sarcasm). It seemed like they really wanted me to buy a new toilet. The first thing that came up when I did a google search for a flapper valve for my model toilet was a $3 flapper valve made by an aftermarket company. It looked exactly like the old one and was specific to my model. I didn't trust Rodenhiser at this point and didn't have them come back to repair their faulty work. The flapper I ordered on my own is working much better. I called Rodenhiser to voice my displeasure in the service they provided. They said they were going to have a manager call me back the next morning. This was over a week ago and no call. As far as the other work goes, I was able to get quotes from 2 other plumbers which were less than 1/4 of Rodenhiser's quote. I had a great experience with Sostilio & Sons plumbing. They determined that there was actually no leak in the heater baseboard and there was only spray foam there (from the previous owner) to stop vibration or to insulate because it was at a corner against an exterior wall. Glad I didn't pay Rodenhiser $811.31 to fix something that didn't need to be fixed. Furthermore, Sostilio & Sons didn't charge me to make this determination even though it took them several minutes of work to do. And for the faucet, something did come up with the drain, but even with the unexpected repair, the final price was about half what Rodenhiser's quote was. Lastly, Rodehniser had a very corporate feel to it. They're all smiles and friendly, until they hand you the quote. Stay away from Rodenhiser. Go to a better company.

Rodenhiser was an absolute pleasure to work with. Though they were considerably more expensive than other companies I got estimates from, they were incredibly responsive and focused on my satisfaction. Getting other companies to respond to emails was like pulling teeth, but Rodenhiser was always prompt and professional. Ross, the HVAC specialist I worked with, was particularly great. I had numerous questions throughout the process and Ross always responded immediately to emails with detailed answers. He even rearranged his schedule to come out on almost no notice on a Saturday morning to finalize the design with me. His final design for the system was much more thoughtful and creative than what other companies proposed--it minimized the outdoor lines and allowed us to have an indoor unit on an interior wall in the kitchen, which helped both aesthetically and with air flow. So far the system is working perfectly during this summer heat wave. I'm extremely happy I used these guys.

They answered their phone right away and got us an appointment with a salesman very quickly. Ryan came on time for the initial consultation. He had a clear Powerpoint on the available systems and their cost. He was able to provide an estimate on the spot. We were scheduled for the following week, but asked for any cancellations as we were having a nasty heat wave. They were able to come a few days early and Jim M, Mark M, and Brian H got the air conditioning up and running the first day before they left. They were clean, courteous and professional. They explained the new system, and cleaned up thoroughly. Great Job! Thank you!

Do not contact this company. They charge you $75.00 to come and look at the problem , and after that they give you outrages prices which you can not accept, so you are out $75 dollars and having no work done. Just to replace the shutoff they quoted me $386. I recently had my heater replaced and it cost $680, I can not imagine how replacing a shutoff can cost $386. Do not waist your$75.00, call somebody else.

Wanted to charge us $386 to cut a hole in our garage ceiling just to look at the problem. Already told them what the problem was. He was very unprofessional, and rude. When I would ask him a question he would not answer the questions. I have had this repair done before and it is a very straight forward fix. It seemed like they were just trying to rip us off.

I had the pleasure of dealing with Mike P. and Matthew M. today and I could not have been more impressed with the two of them as well as the company as a whole. From the initial scheduling process to the quality of work that was done I would give the experience an A+. They were meticulous about my request to keep the doors shut so my cat wouldn't get out and they left the job site clean as a whistle. I liked dealing with them so much that I signed up for a service contract on the spot. They charge a flat fee which is discussed in advance so they are no nasty surprises when you go to pay. Do yourself a favor and use them and make sure to ask for Mike P. and Matthew M.

We had a 2 zone hvac system changed to a single system the two condensers and two furnaces were both taken out and replaced with a whole new system. John I and Moe were amazing !!! They were here for 3 days and everyday at 7 am and worked all day !! They were so respectful to us and our home, explained every step of the process and offered options if needed, they explained why things were needed. They cleaned every day and never left a mess and the system is working great ! I would recommend them and Rodenhiser for any hvac job needed

Let me begin by saying what an extremely pleasant experience it was to deal with this company. From the person who handled the initial service call, to the prompt appointment and the punctuality, professionalism and friendliness of the repair team that appeared at my front door, the experience was positive. That said, the prices are much too high! After explaining the problem I was experiencing (1 of my A/C zones was not working properly), the team left to diagnose the problem and returned to me with an "options list." The first option started at close to $3,400, which included a multi-year service plan, and the lowest option was $450 to replace the relay and repair a wire. When I questioned the team about the options, they had included service plans, and many options that weren't needed but I might need to do at some point in time. When I explained that I wanted to do the minimum necessary to fix my problem, I was told that it would get me going, but that the team would not be able to properly diagnose my system unless I went for option 2, which was $1342 and included the chemical wash. So I did. I knew something was off, but between trying to keep the cost low, misreading prices, and sticker shock, it was not until the team left that I realized the only additional service I was getting between the two options was a chemical wash, which cannot be considered a value at $900! As I write this review, I can't explain the cost difference, which didn't hit me until after the team left. I clearly overpaid. So, would I hire the company again? Yes, but I would push back more aggressively on the price, get better explanations, and would shop around first.

Both the removal of the old leaking hot water heater and installation of the new heater went smoothly and quickly. A very reliable "Made in America" new water heater was installed.

I don't want to gush about a plumbing company (sorry, couldn't help myself) but this company is like a breath of fresh air. We've dealt with other plumbers in the past who pretend to know what they're doing, or they don't return our calls, or they do a sloppy job. You get what you pay for, I guess. And, even if Rodenheiser is a tad more expensive, it's SO worth the peace of mind to know that they'll be there when you need them and they'll fix the problem. Our basement floods like a YMCA pool, so we had two industrial sump pumps put in, with marine batteries and dual backups. And, one of the floats fell off. We called the plumber that installed the sump pumps...in fact, we're still waiting for him to call us back. We called Rodenheiser and they were at our house within 50 minutes. We're supposed to get 2" of rain this weekend, so you can imagine the relief we felt when we saw their truck pull into the driveway. They diagnosed the sump pump (which the other plumber had installed, wired and configured wrong) and replaced them. They also *gasp* installed them correctly! These guys are professional, courteous, timely, proficient, and a joy to work with. A joy, I tell you, a JOY!! Why would you go to anyone else? Knowing that I'm not going to be hosting a pool party in my basement this weekend is why we've tossed every other plumbers' number and have Rodenheiser stickers all over our fridge. Would I recommend them? Um, yeah!

I was charged $95 in order to get an estimate.The estimate then came in at $1,100 just run wire for two thermostats. This really seems like price gouging. Charge for an estimate and then hope to get a customer to pay way too much so they don't lose their $95. Would not contact these guys again. I asked when I called if they could give a ball park price range for this service and was told they could not without sending their electrician. The woman on the phone also said "their pricing is not by the hour, you would pay what your neighbor would pay." Then why do I need to pay someone $95 to give me an estimate. Something is not adding up here.
