Description of Work: My experience with David Murphy and Sons exceeded my expectations in every respect. I learned about them on Angie's list, and after pricing kitchen cabinets from several large cabinet manufacturers, decided to go with a small local family business. The experience was nothing but positive. The price of the cabinets and the delivery date were both exactly what was quoted originally. The quality of the build surpassed my expectations. I wanted flush inset doors, and every door had a consistent reveal in the face frame. The box construction was all 3/4 inch plywood, and all boxes were perfectly square. One aspect that I really like about the construction is that there are no seams between the cabinets. Rather, runs of cabinets are assembled with a continuous face frame in the shop. This results in a built-in look. The cabinets are simply beautiful. |Working with Jim, Matt and Colleen was a pleasure. At every step of the process they were completely responsive to my many questions. After they delivered the cabinets (I did the install myself), they continually offered to come back and help out if i ran into any problems. Who does that?? |My experience was so positive that I now find myself searching for excuses to remodel other areas of my home so that I can have Jim make me more cabinets.

Description of Work: Everyone at David Murphy and Sons was a pleasure to work with. The quality of the cabinets and the excellent craftsmanship is beyond what I expected. Jim Murphy was very good at listening to our ideas and offering us other options to think about as well We ended up going with many of his ideas because they were better than what we were thinking! They were excellent at communicating any changes we made to the plan and the schedule and Colleen was always on top of the project. They took care of everything from working with the town inspector and the other sub contractors. Everyone they brought in on the project was exceptional. The project from my standpoint went without a hitch. Everyone talks about how difficult a kitchen renovation can be but that was not my experience. I would recommend David Murphy and Sons without any reservation. They take pride in their craft and the quality and level of customer service is superior. I would recommend them without any hesitation.
