Description of Work: DJ'S removed 40 year old wallpaper, sanded the walls, filled in plaster cracks, holes, et., and then primed and painted bathroom walls. Also painted closet, door, window shutters and moldings. Excellent outcome and I am very satisfied.

Description of Work: I provided a lengthy list of tasks. As I had purchased only 1 day of service, we inspected the list and agreed on the best sub-list. It included: spackling, removal of a small basement wall, removal and remounting of 2 wall-mounted medicine cabinets, removal of shelving that had been built into a wall, radiator leveling, removal (without damaging wallpaper) of a box seat that had been built into a wall, and repair of a sink drain plug mechanism. All was accomplished satisfactorily, with the exception of the drain, which could not be repaired without new parts. We also discussed and agreed on how to approach the other items on the list. I was impressed with DJ's knowledge and creativity, as he introduced different ways to approach each task, those performed and those deferred for follow up visits

Description of Work: Wallpapered a wall, put moulding around kitchen countertop, installed a replacement for cracked window; replaced screen with storm window in storm door, installed pegboard in garage, adjusted hinges on kitchen cabinets. |DJ came prepared with appropriate tools, etc. He did an excellent job on all requested tasks. He was pleasant throughout the day. I feared he would not be able to complete the list in allotted time. He assured me he would finish even if extra time was needed. He did finish the list as planned. |He was knowledgeable and determined to provide work with lasting quality. He offered good suggestions to improve results or to prevent future concerns, but always allowed me to determine what was to be done and how. He was careful to protect surrounding surfaces, put anything moved back and cleaned up trash created in the process. |I was thinking I would not find someone to do the kinds of things DJ did. I tend to be nervous about a new person working in my home. I was completely at ease with DJ. |So I am glad for Angie's List and as my grandmother would say "So what could be bad?"
