Kent Albrecht Carpentry

He was great. He is a nice guy and he does good work. His prices were good. I researched and looked at prices and his prices were very reasonable for what he did. I would definitely recommend him.

The job turned out to be more difficult than either of us had expected, but he was great about sticking with it through to the end, and clearly really wanted me to be happy with the result. He removed and altered cabinets in order to accommodate a new dishwasher, and also hooked it up to the plumbing. The price for the job was very reasonable for what wound up being a full day of work, and he was able to come out on pretty short notice as well, after the provider I'd lined up a month earlier had to cancel. His work was appreciated, and I do plan to call him for work needed in the future.

Kent installed 4 new interior doors. He is extremely professional and is a bit of a perfectionist, which is what you want in a contractor. We highly recommend Kent and will use him for future projects.

As mentioned above, we need to connect the dryer through the wall and out of the house which he was able to do with a small amount of space. He was able to do it in a near and clean manner and it has been working great. He communicated everything before he did it and did not surprise me with anything as it pertained to the work. I was a little surprised he charged me for the time it took him to go to Lowe's before he came but it was not a big deal - just 30minutes.

The price was reasonable. He charged $40 an hour. He’s a good handyman, he knows different things.

Kent was professional, highly skilled, conscientious and extremely hardworking in this double job of replacing a bedroom ceiling and of repairing and painting a porch. In this work, as in jobs he has done for me before, he could not have done better! He is an excellent carpenter who always does the job carefully, thoroughly and with the utmost competence. I recommend him most highly.

Kent's Work is impeccable. The new porch looks fantastic. The flat rate of $45.00 per hour is worth it. I purchased the materials in advance and saved time by doing so. I also took responsibility for demolition and cleanup & saved time and money, Kent is a great person to work with. He does not stop working and got the job don.

He also put some wood in an area where baseboard heat had been placed which had been left unfinished. He also put a sweep on one of my doors which was allowing cold air to come into the room. I have also used him in the past to replace a siding piece on my house which had been chopped by a weed whacker. He has replaced all of my doors in my home with 4 panel solid doors, which wasn't easy as the house doesn't sit straight.

As well as could be expected.

The extent of repairs was way beyond what we had anticipated. We assumed it would take one day to do everything. Mr. Albrecht found wood rot in some areas of the decks that required more extensive repairs. The actual job took three days. Both unit owners loved him. One wants to hire him for additional work in her home. The outcome of his work pleased everyone involved. We have not yet received his final bill but since he was much more reasonable than anyone else we consulted I'm sure it will be an acceptable amount.

It took MUCH longer than either of us anticipated. Whoever installed it must also install safes! It was so difficult that it took seven and a quarter hours, plus a 45 minute Lowe's run to get a few things. He is hard worker; didn't even take a lunch break, or any break! The only reason I didn't give an "A" or price is because it was many hours more than I was expecting.

Kent responded quickly to my request for service, gave me a reasonable estimate on the potential costs, and accomplished all within budget and on time. Kent was meticulous in accomplishing the complete renovation of my kitchen, and demonstrated quality work in replacing a ceiling, and repairing plumbing fixtures throughout. He kept in continuous contact with me, making sure that what he was doing was exactly what I wanted. When he thought something could be done better than what had been planned, he would point that out to me and leave the ultimate decision to me. I was completely satisfied with the communication between us and the excellence in workmanship accomplished. I would unequivocally recommend his services.

This man is awesome. There is no problem that he can't tackle and fix from minor to major projects. He is also completely dependable.

Kent was very cordial when I called to set up the appointment and showed up when he said he would. When he looked at the rotted boards he said he would not know the extent of the damage until he removed the boards. His hourly rate was reasonable and we scheduled the job. Again, Kent showed up when he saId he would. When he started removing the rotted boards the damage was more extensive than we had anticipated. The work took about 2 1/2 days to complete (about a day longer than he anticipated), but we are more than happy with the results. Kent never stopped when he was on the job and completed the smaller tasks wiile he was waiting for the paint to dry on the outside work. Kent is one of the most professional and pleasant contractors we have ever used and I would not hesitate to recommend him.

When Kent returned my call he seemed uneasy about the distance between his location in Holbrook and mine in Attleboro. His sight stated he does work in my area or I wouldn't have contacted him. During the conversation telling him I needed two bathroom remodels and some interior woodwork along with new interior and exterior door, just for start, he continued to complain about the distance. I told him a few times during our conversation that if the distance was an issue for him I would move on to other possibilities. He always stated it was "Pushing his limit" but continued on. Then he told me that he had a hard time going that far because there wasn't a guarantee he would get the job. I told him I would not give him that guarantee when I haven't even so much as met him. He then again complained about the distance. I had had enough at this point, if he is already complaining without even knowing if he had the job, what would he be complaining about if I gave him the job. Also, I was certain I would probably have problems with him showing up, due to the distance. I can't speak for what kind of work he does or how much he charges, but I do know I am very happy about not allowing him to become a candidate for all the work I need done on my home.

Kent is great. We had a laundry list of projects for him to complete on an older house with traditional "challenges". Kent was very patient and took his time to get the work done. Quality was perfect. Would definitely use him again.

He is very exact when doing carpentry, and exact. The doors and box were perfect.

The job went great. It took Kent about three days to complete the work and he did a great job. He exceeded my expectations and I will be having Kent back in the near futue to complete some more projects around the house. I strongly recommend him.

Kent has strong knowledge and skills, and our bathroom looks great - a quality job well done. He is meticulous and will do everything he can to make the job come out right. What really impressed me was that Kent was here every day, and would call and tell us if he was running a bit late, which almost never happened. After previous experience with contractors who disappear for weeks on end without a word, I really appreciated this commitment and communication from Kent. With a bathroom this is sooooo important, because who wants to be without their 2nd bathroom for months? Kent also cleaned up after himself very well and kept the tile dust to a minimum, which I appreciated ALOT! I was nervous about the hourly rate instead of having hard prices, but in the end the cost was reasonable and was less than we would have spent with other contractors.

He wasn’t just good; he was amazing. I have used a lot of handymen and professionals and he’s the best I have ever used. He did a lot of work for the price. I got bids that were more and I thought because his bid was less that he might not do as much but he did more than the other bids. He did more for the money than anyone else. There are several reasons I would recommend him. For one thing, he is very good to work with. He listens to you and makes changes according to what he hears. That’s really good because some people just get set in the way that they do things and they don’t listen to the customer. He stuck to his price even though, after he tore some things out, he made some discoveries that we didn’t know was there. He could have turned around and charged more but he did not. I thought that was extremely impressive because, even though there were surprises for him, he stuck to the price. He was there every day and he worked long and hard every day and he was so nice to be around. His work was phenomenal. When you hear “handyman,” you think of someone who isn’t as skilled as, say, a carpenter. He was as skilled as any professional person that calls themselves a carpenter or even more. He was very, very skilled. If there were an A+, I would give him an A+ in everything. I absolutely would use him again. Actually, I had this work done on my daughter’s house in Boston; I live in Utah. If I could fly him out to Utah to do work for me, I would. That’s how good he was.

He worked fast, very inexpensive, good follow through, very professional.

We had contacted several potential handyman to tackle various ongoing repairs at our home which is a unique and at times difficult to maintain. Ken responded promptly and came over when he said he would to look at what we wanted to be done. He quoted us an hourly rate that we considered fair. While we went in a different direction I would not hesitate to recommend Ken as a potential solution to anyone looking for general handyman services including carpentry.
