It's a five-star experience. Before I had Angie's List, he was recommended by a neighbor so I thought that I would give him a go. He worked on the jobs that needed to be done. I've used him since. Plumbing-wise, he is the first person I would call. The cost depends on what he is doing but he is very reasonable. He is pretty sensitive to cost. He comes back pretty quickly. Obviously, sometimes he can't fit me in right away but he keeps me informed and he makes sure that he does the work I was looking for. I can't fault him.

We were getting irregular temperatures from our shower for weeks. I replaced the cartridge in hopes of rectifying the problem, but it did not. We had used a different plumber in the past, but we were not happy with the service or price. I joined Angie's List to help narrow down a search for a good reliable plumber and it turned out to be a huge success. I received an email reply from Eric the same evening asking me to give him a call in the morning to set up a time. I called him on Saturday morning and he came by within 30 minutes to give me an estimate. He emailed me the quote and we set up a time to complete the work the following Sunday. He arrived on time and was very thorough and professional. We would not hesitate to call him again for additional services.

He took down all of my information (email and phone) and I never heard from him again. It's going on two weeks without a word and I feel foolish for waiting around to hear back from him. I don't write negatives reviews easily but I don't want others to waste their time if this is how he operates his business.

Eric was very professional and competent in his work. He showed up at 8 AM both days as he told us, and worked through non stop two days to get the work done. I mentioned to him that I wanted to have the work complete before the new year so I can do my pottery as soon as I can, and he finished it so. All along he explained the process and why he did what he did. He is an excellent plumber which is hard find these days! He works clean, meticulously, and very professional in his interactions . He also gave me another estimate for putting a small bathroom in our basement, I would absolutely call him again when we are ready for that work and I absolutely recommend him for others. He warrants his labor for 90 days, he is excellent plumber. Thank you Eric!

Eric arrived exactly when he said he would. He was extremely professional. He worked efficiently and was good at explaining everything he was doing. He left no mess behind. We have a high confidence level in Hot & Cold Plumbing and would most definitely use this company again!

The pipes in our home water supply plumbing system started inexplicably banging after calling for water. The banging only subsided after we would run around opening faucets......very annoying, and intolerable, particlarly the week before Thanksgiving when we hosting our extended family I called a number of plumber friends and they could not provide an explanation, and the plumbing companies I called were scheduling three weeks out. Eric from Hot and Cold Plumbing came by the house, after hours, at very short notice on the Friday before Thanksgiving and suggested that the installation of an expansion tank might solve the problem. He was booked solid the following week, but offered to do the installation during the evening hours the Monday before Thanksgiving. We were, understandably, VERY grateful for his appreciation of our situation and his generous offer to take care of our problem in time for Thanksgiving. The installation was professional and successful as the banging stopped. Eric's responsiveness and good work made a huge difference in our enjoyment of Thanksgiving, and in the ongoing performance of our house water supply system. I I highly recommend Hot and Cold Plumbing.

The quality and service were excellent. There were no problems with installation and removal of older fixtures. I had no problems with making an appointment or any estimates of what the total job would cost. I was very please with Eric and the work done, I would recommend him and his company to anyone else in the area.

Eric was fantastic to work with. He was very responsive to my inquiry and came out that same evening to give me a quote. He took a lot of time with us to review the existing bad plumbing we had, discuss options with us and answer all of our questions. He also saw our extremely long dryer duct snaking through the ceiling and cautioned us to make sure we kept it clean each year because the way it was laying would collect lint and could be a fire hazard. We asked if he had a better solution and he figured out a way to feed a rigid vent pipe within the existing layout of our basement. Eric checked in with me a few times that following week to update me on what date he could come and do the work. I really appreciated those updates and felt like I always knew what was going on and when to count on him coming over. He showed up on time and stayed the entire day and well into the evening to get the entire job done for us. When he initially arrived he took all of his measurements so he could get the correct materials from the supply store during this process realized a better solution existed over what we initially discussed. It would save costs and be a better solution overall. We were so thankful for his suggestions and he did superb work. He kept the area spotless, bagged up all of the trash, walked us through how everything now worked and made sure we were happy with the work before he left. I am so excited we found a plumber we can use going forward and I wouldn?t hesitate to recommend him to others.

I called them on Friday and left a message and I have not heard back from them whatsoever.

Eric came to my house to give me an estimate a mere 20 minutes after I spoke with him. He made arrangements to complete the work the next day. All went well and I am happy with the service he provided. I would recommend him to friends and family and would have him back again for future work.

This went exceptionally well. Eric obtained all of the necessary permit and inspections so I didnt have to deal with it. He was punctual, did great work and cleaned up after himself. I couldn't be happier and will definitely use him again

He was on time and knew what he was doing. The fill tube he installed would not shut off. When I called he came right over and installed a new.

My first contact with Eric was absolutely fabulous. He was very responsive and scheduled a convenient time to come and provide an estimate. I received the estimate the next day, and scheduled the work to be done on Sunday 07/06. Eric arrived on time, was very professional, courteous, and friendly. He was very pleasant during the entire process and did not seem to mind having my son looking on.. All went fabulous and we couldn't be happier in having this work done without any hassle whatsoever. Eric responded to our initial call promptly and came over to give an estimate soon after... His estimate included all of the work requested in detail, and reviewed options on work that he was not sure he had parts available. He explained why he preferred certain parts as part of the process leading to the estimate, and when the work took longer than he thought, he explained what had happened and returned promptly to finish the work. The work was done quickly, with questions responded to in detail at the time. Very pleasant experience .

I called Hot and Cold plumbing for a leaky toilet. They promptly returned my call and we set up a day for Eric to come out and look at the job. He called about 30 min before he was due to tell me he would be late. Which was fine and I really appreciated that he called to tell me! He came and we discussed the job in detail, he explained to me a couple of different things it could be and he told me he would send me a quote by Sunday. On Sunday my qoute arrived as promised . I called the next day and we set up an appointment for a few days later for him to come and do the work. Eric arrived promptly and went right to work . He explained everything he was doing was neat and very professional. Unfortunately at the end of him removing the toilet, cleaning the area, replacing the wax ring, installing and extension after waiting for an alloted amount of time he told me that it was still leaking and I would need someone to come in to possibly do my floor as the flange was sitting below the floor. At this time I of course was disappointed that it would not be fixed but it had nothing to do with him or his work. In fact he then told me he was not going to charge me anything because he did not fix the issue. I tried to at least pay him for his time ( 2 hours) and still he refused any money. I felt bad because he had spent so much time but I do have a couple other things for him to do for me and I would definitely hire him again, and in fact am calling him soon. He was clean, neat , professional. I would highly reccomend him for any plumbing you may need.

Eric showed up promptly when scheduled and worked diligently until the project was completed. The job was more complex and took longer than he originally estimated, as there was some hidden damage that wasn't visible when he provided the estimate. Even though the job turned out to be more complex and took longer, he stood by his original price. Very honest and guaranteed his work.

we had a leak under the tub and spontaneously decided to remodel our upstairs bathroom, which was needed anyway. Eric gave us an estimate on the job, which was accurate. He was on time, always professional and clearly explained what he was doing and why, always properly setting expectations. It was clearly important to him that the job was done right and that we were satisfied with the work. he went well beyond what we'd expected including going to home depot to get insulation and drywall. The work area was kept almost spotless, which was greatly appreciated. overall, a great experience and we highly recommend his services.

I couldn't be happier with the service I received. Eric was prompt and professional at every stage of the job. Our old pump conked out during Hurricane Sandy, yet he responded promptly to my phone call. He came out to give an estimate the next day. I never felt oversold, and his price came in lower for the same work than the other people who gave estimates. He made sure I understood what he was doing and that I understood the pump's operation. He also tidied up after the job was done. We just got the new pump, so it's still early days, but I'm confident that Eric will answer questions if any arise.

We have now used services provided by Hot and Cold Plumbing and Heating twice, not to mention Eric dropping by again to show me the pressure readings for my water and discussing the repurcusions of high water pressure in our home. While he pointed out the issue which I was unaware, he was spot on with the diagnosis and resolve not to mention inviting second opinions...the high pressure did not roll over into sales, thank you;^) On all contact with Eric, phone calls were returned promptly and his ability to work with my schedule was great! He showed up exactly as planned and worked in an effecient and determined manner, effectively completing the requested work. A very nice guy to deal with and he was very consciensious about cleanup and assuring all work was done above expectations. We assuredly now have our "go-to" plumber for all our upcoming needs. Next on the list may be a tuneup for our heating system!

I have several contractors out to look at my job that included the replacement of my utility sink pump, re-piping some code issues, and the replacement of my hot water heater. Hot & Cold was the most professional from the beginning, had a competitive price, and did the job right the first time - with no headaches. I highly recommended them.
