Description of Work: Installed central AC in main structure and mini-split for family room. Units appear to be sized correctly and the installation was better than average. | |Had a problem with the mini-split since installation, but the third service call brought the owner of the company, who spent some time and got it right.

Description of Work: Installed new forced hot air and central AC. After interviewing a handful of local companies we chose Berry to install our new HVAC system. They were in the middle to upper end of the quotes that we received. When Jamie came out to give the quote I asked him a lot of questions and he was happy to answer them all and even more importantly he answered them correctly. Some of the other places I interviewed were either put off by me questions or they couldn't answer them. My wife and I are engineers and asked to go over the design of the system before it was installed. The owner of the Company spent half a day going over the design of the system and found creative ways to design the system such that there was minimal impact to out living space(the system was a retrofit). The installers did a great job and when the system was tested for leakage the system was better than current code requires.

Description of Work: I called this company 2x to set up an appointment. The first time she was suppose to call me back with an appt and potentially an estimate. Never got back to me (they had my email and phone number). Second time I called and left a message with the receptionist to call me back . No response....Apparently, they don't need the business...

Description of Work: We bought a new Carrier Infinity Heater from Sears. On a Sunday, as we were preparing to go on an international trip we discovered our heater wasn't working. Since we had pets who would be staying in the house while we were gone we were concerned for their safety. We called Sears whom we have an extended warranty service with, but the response we got from them was we don't due service calls on Sunday--even after we explained our situation. So I looked up Berry Mechanical to see if they could look at it and discover the problem before we left on our trip. They came over immediately; spent about 1-1/2 hours checking out our system for something obvious, but they could not resolve the issue because they don't usually service Carrier product. But their response to our emergency situation was so excellent I would recommend this company to anyone. Very professional, timely and willing to go the extra step. I only wish they serviced Carrier products because we would switch our service contract immediately.
