Description of Work: I asked for a miracle for our walk in closet and Closet and Storage did not disappoint. I have one closet in my apartment so needed it to be multipurpose for clothes, Christmas decorations, tools and of course shoes! Lots of shoes! Our service man spent time and thought even adding a basket hamper in a dead space which I use every day. The hanging clothes racks are very adequate with a small area to hang belts and a pull out rack for putting away clothes from the cleaners or for packing, also very useful. Shelves for sweaters, purses and tools with a large top shelf for things not used very often, I put my decorations and extra pillows there. I would recommend this company completely. The price was well worth it as now I have triple the space with many extras.

 + 0 moreThe design person, Denise, came to our home to look at the old closet set ups and suggest some renovations. She was on time and had a good familiarity with different storage systems that might make sense in our closets. She sent her final drawings to us in a timely matter. The destruction/installation work was scheduled and the workers arrived on time and were done in about five hours. One caveat (that she clearly explained to us) is that they go immediately from removal of the old shelving to installation of the new systems. As a result, the walls looked terrible behind the shelving but, again, that was explained to us ahead of time. Perhaps a better solution for someone else to consider is to have the old shelving pulled out ahead of time, paint/finish the walls, and then invite the installers to come in and do their work. I would up painting around the new shelving. The shelving itself is particle board with laminate. It's nothing fancy, but this is a closet, not a showroom. Was the final product significantly better than the original? In the walk in closet, yes. In the reach in closet, maybe.... especially for the cost. The Closet & Storage Concepts people were good at what they did. I would recommend them.

 + 0 moreGreat! They came and underpriced California Closets. They came to our house and then I visited their showroom and looked at their samples. They were very accommodating. They uninstalled our old closet systems for free and patched the walls. They even patched a hole in the wall that they didn't make! Took about a day to install 5 closets. Got some upgrades like crown molding and drawers. looks great! They were very willing to change the designs before installation.
Description of Work: Installed 5 closets--3 white (one with crown molding) and 2 a tier 3 color. Got a special Angie's list discount. One was a small walk in master closet. Others were reach in closets (some quite long).

 + 0 moreGreat overall experience with the Company!! Our sales contact Denise was fantastic. Very professional and easy to deal with. We gave her our situation and what we were looking to do and she provided us with a couple different options and recommendations right away. She then provided us a sketch and quote very quickly with our different options. She was also very responsive and provided quality recommendations. My wife and I visited their offices in Franklin to look at the different color texture options for the unit we met with one of the designer's and they were very easy to deal with. Installation went without a hitch and the unit came out even better than we could have imagined. My wife and I would definitely use them in the future and highly recommend them.

 + 0 moreWe were very pleased with the entire process. Closet & Storage Concepts was incredibly professional and made it easy to get the closet that we wanted. They were responsive to our requests. The listened to our concerns and came up with suitable alternatives. They met with us on our schedule. They kept us informed and set expectations. And, they worked through unanticipated issues quickly. Our closet holds everything that we were storing perfectly and allows for extra storage should we need it. It is an open room off of our master bath. We wanted this room to have closed-door cabinetry so that when you look into the room, the clothing was out of sight. Elizabeth's design not only delivered on this, but also created a focal point where we can display decorative items. It is very functional for us and adds to the aesthetic of our home. The material in the closets and drawers seems sturdy. And, Closet & Storage Concepts offers a Lifetime Warranty on the materials and workmanship. While we were hoping the project would come in under our budget rather than at the very top, we are glad that we spent the money and would work with Closet & Storage Concepts in the future.
Description of Work: After reading reviews for Closet & Storage Concepts, we contacted them for a complimentary design consultation. Danielle quickly responded and set a time that was convenient for us. Elizabeth visited our home, took measurements, noted our storage needs and sat down with us to discuss our personal preferences for the aesthetic and various storage features. She explained the process and timing for the design and installation and indicated she would have plans to us within a few days. The initial plans were on time and met many of our requirements; however, they were outside of our budget. Elizabeth immediately responded and found ways to save money without sacrificing the plan. After a few revisions to the design, we agreed to move forward with installation. Our design required some parts to be shipped from the supplier. Due to this, we waited approximately 4 weeks from design to installation. Both Elizabeth and Danielle kept us informed during this time. Three installers arrived on our install date. They were courteous and professional. Near the end of the day, they realized that the doors sent from the supplier were not correct. Elizabeth immediately contacted us and let us know that we would need to re-order the doors and the installers would need to return to our home to complete the installation. Once again, Elizabeth and Danielle kept us informed and the doors arrived about 4 weeks later and were installed immediately.

 + 0 moreWe set up our appointment with Elizabeth promptly after contacting the company. She came out and worked with us to come up with designs that met our needs and then some (the kitchen cabinets were not in our original plan). We own a 100+ year old home, so the closets are pretty small. With our baby on the way, my husband and I were combining our two closets into one closet, so that the baby could have her own closet. This was a challenge, but with Elizabeth's help, we made it work. After our initial consultation, it took about a week to receive a quote and design sketches. We were definitely impressed by how detailed the designs were. We had contacted 2 other companies for quotes and designs and they were nowhere near as detailed as what Elizabeth came up with. Cost-wise, they were slightly lower, but we thought the quality would suffer also. The cost was pretty significant, but in the end it was completely worth it to make our storage issues better in our old home. The installation was done within a month of signing the contract and everything was completed within one day. We would definitely recommend Closet & Storage Concepts to anyone looking for a customized solution for closets (or kitchens)!
Description of Work: We hired Closet & Storage Concepts to design and install closet systems in two bedrooms and a large front hall closet. In addition, they also designed and installed additional kitchen cabinets. One closet was designed for a nursery, while the other was designed for a small closet in a master bedroom where we were combining clothes from two closets that needed to fit into one (not an easy task). Our front hall closet is very large, but was completely inefficient in it's use of space. We wanted room for not only coats, but for all our shoes, accessories and all the new baby items we were about to accumulate. In our kitchen, we wanted to redesign a tall pantry-like cabinet to be more efficient, with pull out deep shelves. We also wanted additional cabinet space that worked with our current kitchen cabinet design and color.

 + -1 moreI called for information. They responded within 24 hours. I set up an appointment with the designer. She came when scheduled. We discussed my options. Measurements were taken. Within a few days, a quote/design was emailed to me. From signing a contract to installation was about a month which was exactly what I was told was the time frame for ordering/receipt of closet components. The installation was done while I was at work. I just had to let them in. I was not at all concerned about leaving them alone in my house. They did an excellent job, so much so, that since I was doing other renovations in my house, I decided to add space to the closet and have them come back and install more shelves. After the second installation, I wanted additional dividers. I emailed the designer and she sent my order right away. I would highly recommend them. I had done prior research and their prices were reasonable.

 + -1 moreCheck for company references before you even start looking. Stay with a closet company, they are most likely to know what they are doing. Get at least 3 estimates. Make sure you know the product you are comparing - apples to apples. Many closet companies offer various materials that are very different when you compare samples in the showroom. Go to the showroom and make sure you are looking at the correct sample of that which you intend to buy. Check references and do a detail cost comparison, share the information with your bidders to see if they can meet a comparable product for the lowest price possible. If it's too good to be true, it probably is. Good luck and after doing all this, don't make the mistake I did by becoming fixated on one certain aspect of a large investment. Just go see Elizabeth.
Description of Work: This was a project for 7 closets, 2 large walk-ins. I can't recommend Closet and Storage concepts highly enough. I was foolish enough to go with a local craftsman because I had a fixation on wood at a lower price. What I got in comparison to what I could have had with Elizabeth at Closets and Design is enormous. Elizabeth knows closets: functionality, style, and size. Closets, especially walk-ins, can be complex. I could have had all my closets complete 1 Nov and installed in one day. Instead I am still waiting for the completion on 24 Nov, the design is incorrect and I am totally frustrated with a non-responsive company. Eliazbeth is a true gem. She worked weekends during the design process to meet our dates and was responsive in every way. I built a house that I am delighted with and of all the decisions I had to make during that 2 year process, this is the one that has caused me the most grief. I know in that respect I am fortunate, but for anyone else looking for closet installation, you can completely trust Elizabeth.

 + -1 morening to our needs, and she made useful suggestions for how to design an installation that would serve our needs. The installation went smoothly, and the installer worked carefully and neatly. It is probably possible to achieve the same end with purchases from a store like The Container Store, but our estimates suggested that the cost would not be significantly less, and the look of the laminate shelving is cleaner than the look of the wire shelving sold by stores. We plan to ask Closet Concepts to help us with another (larger) closet.
Description of Work: Elizabeth DesMarais helped us to design organizing inserts for two small bedroom closets. Her associates then installed the material, at a cost of approx. $500 per closet. This included removing existing hanging rods and interior hooks, boards, as well as the installation of the new materials. We worked great together and came up with a fantastic plan that more than meets my needs - and why not! It's custom! That's the best! Much less expensive than that other closet company but top shelf quality. Had considered spending a little less and putting in a cheaper system ourselves. Ha! No way would it have been anywhere near as nice. Go w/Closet & Storage Concepts & you will be just as happy with your closet as I am!

Description of Work: Elizabeth is terrific at design, the installers were very professional, communicated very well throughout the installation, and cleaned the work area. Elizabeth designed the laundry room, mud room closet, master bedroom closet, and closet/craft area. She has ideas to utilize EVERY inch of space - and the fact that the product is a system of options allows great flexibility for configurations. I not only would use them again, I have scheduled another installation.

Some time afterwards, there was an electrical problem which could have been due to the closet installation, but not necessarily. The franchise owner paid a reasonable share of the repair cost.

 + -1 moreWe've had two different companies look at this closet while installing other custom closets in our home. I was never completely satisfied with their mock-ups or their quoted prices. Eventually I called Closet and Storage Concepts to look specifically at this closet. They responded the same day that I called them, both by email and by phone. Their flexibility and responsiveness (they responded by email within the hour) was quite impressive. Elizabeth, the famed designer of these reviews, came on a Sunday afternoon two days later. She came with some great ideas and integrated our input. She also commented on a different area and suggested some build-ins for that area, not in a way that was just to sell more product, but because she saw an area of need and had some ideas. The price she quoted was at the low end of what we had received from other companies. It was a small job and they were backed up with orders but they pushed our installation up when someone canceled, and within 9 days of our consultation, we received our closet. I wasn't even there when it was installed, and it was like it appeared by magic, they had left the area so clean. I was quite pleased with the job and wished that I had not paid a premium for the other two "name brand" companies that I used previously.

Denise immediate understood what I wanted and also foresaw potentially problems and designed around them. Kevin and the rest of the work crew were super pleasant and professional and always cleaned up really well after they were done.
Description of Work: Cabinets, shelves and folding surface for the laundry closet. Built-in bar area with upper cabinets (one with glass doors, one with stemware holders) with crown moulding, lower cabinets to fit mini-fridge and wine cellar and a drawer.

Denise came out and designed the closets on a sweltering summer day in our soon-to-be new home with no AC and always maintained a smile. She had some great suggestions and took precise measurements. The closets turned out even better than I imagined. The guys did an awesome job. Taking apart the old closets was no easy task, but they rocked it. Parking in the South End of Boston was a nightmare and there were lots of steps...but they never seemed annoyed. They diligently worked their closet magic and we are thrilled. The color was a perfect match. The installers did a great job cleaning up and they also did a great job working around the access panels -- making sure every was just right. We worked with California Closet and ClosetTEC before and while they were good, Closet & Storage Concepts was even better quality and even better customer service.
