Third Generation Window & Gutter Cleaning

The work was impeccable. Karl was friendly and attentive and went above and beyond for me. I would strongly recommend using Third Generation for all your window and gutter cleaning needs. I also use him for snow removal after big storms.

I hired Karl a couple of years ago to clean our gutters after other businesses weren’t consistent. We have gutter guards and multiple firms won’t remove them (due to the additional work & time). I confirmed with Karl that he would remove them. His first year (fall 2015) he let me know when he was generally coming and cleaned them. The next year (fall 2016) I just received a bill, but had no reason to believe he didn’t perform the work. He did not call/email when he was coming. I did note in the spring (2017) we had maple tree sprouts popping up on a hard to reach 2nd floor gutter...which surprised me...but thought it ‘could’ be possible. In the fall (2017) I received another bill, with no work performed date and no prior notification. I also noted that after the work was billed the maple sprouts on 2nd floor gutter remained. I called Karl and he said it’s likely just a slight oversight and he’d remedy it. The sprouts are no longer there. In March (2018) 3.5 winter months after he billed me for cleaning I personally had to clean a single story gutter due to significant leaf build up causing the gutter to overflow over the side. In July (2018) I had to clean another single story gutter (pictures attached). I called Karl again and someone from his office informed me that the build up was not an indication that work wasn’t performed but rather they should be cleaned 2x / yr and that’s the build up. I find it hard to believe the amount of buildup, maple sprouts, roofing nails from work done in 2016, moss, etc would still remain after being cleaned 8 months previously. Based upon my experiences on the other 2 gutters, I have serious reservations as to how accurate that assessment is.

They did a very nice job. A crew of 3 arrived within the time frame, ready to go on a rainy day. They were done within 25 minutes, which included blowing accumulated leaves, pine needles and twigs off the roof. Took the muck from the gutters with them, left everything looking clean.

This is our second year with this company. Fabulous! Karl, the owner, is very communicative. T.J. came today. He was prompt, professional and was very easy to have in our home all morning. I will definitely call again next year!

When we contacted Karl, he came over the following day to give us an estimate. We knew it would be expensive because we have dozens of windows, a bunch of skylights and glass doors in our home...most with screens. Estimate was give promptly, accepted, and appointment made for about a week and a half later. They arrived on time, started immediately, completed the work taking into consideration which rooms we were using (worked around those rooms until we were ready). They were quiet, neat and did a wonderful job with minimal disruption. Price was fair given the amount of work to be done, and the quality of work. All windows and skylights were thoroughly cleaned, sills wiped, screens dusted. We would hire Karl again in a heartbeat.

Karl and his helper showed up as promised and not only did a great job with the windows, they also went the extra mile taking care of issues that came to light during the work. It turned out that the downspout had just been put into the ground without actually being connected to a pipe, so they went around the house and fixed all the downspouts with run-off pipes. They also helped me with a broken window in the basement door, and were generally kind, courteous and professional. The moss treatment had not been planned, but I asked Karl if he offered that service while he was cleaning the windows, and he said yes, and that he had the equipment for it on his truck. He then quoted me a very reasonable price, since he was already here, and I accepted. We have about 30-some windows and sliding glass doors, and the total cost was definitely worth it. Karl is my guy from now on!

They were very responsive, very quick to schedule, showed up on time, friendly, up-front about the slight increase in price due to actually looking at the work that needed to be done when they arrived, service went very quickly, invoiced me through the mail. Only quibble is that it would've been nice for them to spray-clean the inside of the gutters and the outside of the house after getting all the leaves out of the gutters. We didn't clarify this up-front, so I didn't know what to expect. I would hire them again, but request more clean-up afterwards if possible.

Karl came right out on the day promised and got the gutters well cleaned, as they badly needed it. Made sure all cleanup was done so everything looked good when he and his helper were finished

They cleaned a number of gutters, some quite high. I can't get up there to check, but as far as I can tell they did a good job.

Both projects went smoothly. Came on time, did job efficiently and left.

Karl and his team did a wonderful job. They were on time, on budget, extremely polite, and did an excellent job on the windows and skylights. I will definitely use them again.

Karl came out and looked at the job, called me with a price and arrived promptly on the appointed day. I needed to leave to get to work and when I arrived home, I walked around the house three times because I could not believe how much better everything looked! The windows were immaculate, the sills cleaned, and not a streak in sight. Karl also washed our garage doors. He was very professional and I felt quite comfortable going off to work while he began working. I will definitely be calling Karl again and will be showing my neighbors the outstanding job that he performed. No pun intended, but "I can see clearly now..."

Response time from the business owner is swift, and pricing was reasonable for the work done. I've used them twice to clean out the gutters before winter and both times have been great. No run around, no up-selling or pressure from the business.
