They were very expensive, but they were responsive, showing up within a few hours of my call.

We have used them for emergency plumbing over the last 8 or 9 years. They usually respond the very same day. They are very knowledgeable. They are efficient and get the job done. We have been very happy with their work.

Arrived as promised, diagnosed the problem quickly, purchased a part and returned quickly to install it. Also checked other elements of the system to ensure that was the only source of leakage (it was), and gave advice on a couple of other issues. Very personable and meticulous.

They were very fast and arrived within the hour. I thought the price was a little high, though. They were reluctant to give me a warranty of any kind.

They were very responsive and willing to correct any issues with the installation that arose.

The projected work took longer than expected, and charges were almost double of original estimate.

I can count on this company to come out immediately if I have a problem. They are a little expensive, but do quality work. They are courteous and always manage to fix the problem. I can rely on them.

They are pretty good. I think they are very pricey and the work was OK. Most of them though are friendly. I would only use them again in an emergency situation because they do respond quickly.

I am very pleased with the work done. It was a relief to get the problem fixed. If I have additional plumbing jobs in the future, I will definitely use Roto-Rooter.

Terrible! These guys performed well one year ago, but this time really screwed up. A year ago, the knowledgable technician identified all the minor things he needed to repair ten minutes after he arrived. He completed the work diligently and on time, charging me only for the work done (it was like $230). One year later, I call the same company to do the SAME work. The technician that shows up has no clue of where to start. I told him what the other guy had done a year prior and started to follow my recommendations. At the end, he did not do a thorough cleaning job and spent way too much time trying to affix a pressure sensor with an inadequate tool (I could have done it in five minutes and he took at least 40). The capstone of this is that he logged a bunch of minute tasks based on what I told him to do, and when I went to Mark Freedman, the owner, to complain, he told me the technician did his job correctly. Lastly, the technician charged me a half hour for travel time (to NEWTON!).

Did a good job. They were very fast. They were also very responsive. The price was a bit high, but I would use them again.

WORK WAS WELL DONE, BUT VERY EXPENSIVE; BETTER CLASSIFIED AS A SOMEWHAT USURIOUS. ($136/HOUR) I AM VERY SURPRISED THAT THEY DID NOT GET A LOWER RATING ON PRICE IN ANGIE'S LIST. THE VALVE WAS REBUILT WITHOUT US ASKING THAT BE DONE (WE ASKED THAT IT BE REPLACED AND WE WERE NOT QUOTED A PRICE BEFOREHAND) ON THE BILL IT WAS STATED THAT THEY WOULD NOT GUARANTEE THE REBUILD WORK.

I HAVE USED RAPID RESPONSE PLUMBING MANY TIMES IN THE LAST 4 YEARS. I HAVE GENERALLY BEEN PLEASED WITH THEIR WORK, BUT I WAS NOT AT ALL PLEASED WITH THEIR LAST VISIT. THE PLUMBER DID NOT SEEM THAT COMPETENT. IT TOOK HIM TOO LONG TO DO A FAIRLY STRAIGHT FORWARD JOB. IN ADDITION HE LEFT THE BATTERY OF THE BASEMENT SMOKE DETECTOR OUT OF THE SMOKE DETECTOR, AND LEFT ONE OF THE VALVES TO THE WATER HEATER SHUT OFF. I THEN CALLED ANOTHER HOME REPAIR COMPANY BECAUSE I BELIEVED THERE WAS A WATER HEATER PROBLEM.

I GOT A QUICK RESPONSE AND NEXT DAY APPOINTMENT FOR THE JOB. THE JOB WAS DONE WELL BUT THE PROBLEM WAS THE PRICE. THE GUY WHO CAME TO WORK SAID IT WOULD BE AROUND 400 DOLLARS AND AT THE END WE HAD TO PAY OVER 650 DOLLARS! IT WAS LOT MORE THAN THE ESTIMATE. IF WE GOT THIS ESTIMATE BEFORE DOING THE WORK, WE COULD HAVE THOUGHT OF OTHER ALTERNATIVES. WE WERE NOT HAPPY WITH THEIR PRICING. THE GUY DID THE WORK FAST AND COMPLETED IT THE SAME DAY. I WOULD CHECK FOR A BETTER ESTIMATE BEFORE USING THEIR SERVICE IN FUTURE.

PRICE SEEMED EXPENSIVE FOR WHAT I GOT; COMPANY NAME IS APT, AS HE CALLED BACK WITHIN FIVE MINUTES, AND DID THE JOB THE FOLLOWING DAY.

SCHEDULING WAS NO PROBLEM. THE GUY SHOWED UP PROMPTLY. HE WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND HELPFUL. DID THE WORK VERY PROFESSIONALLY, WITHOUT MUSS OR FUSS. THEY'RE AT THE TOP OF MY PLUMBING LIST.

FAIRLY STANDARD SITUATION, BUT I WAS IMPRESSED BY THE EXTRA STEP TAKEN. I HAD CALLED SEVERAL DAYS BEFORE THE ANTICIPATED DELIVERY OF A NEW GAS DRYER TO TRY TO COORDINATE SO AS TO HAVE DELIVERY, DISCONNECT OF BROKEN GAS UNIT, AND INSTALLATION NEW DRYER AT SAME TIME. THEY STATED EARLIEST NON URGENT APPT WOULD BE 3-4 DAYS AFTER DELIVERY. HOWEVER, EARLY IN THE MORNING OF THE DAY OF DELIVERY, I RECEIVED A CALL FROM RAPID RESPONSE INDICATING THEY HAD SHORT WINDOW OF TIME BETWEEN JOBS THAT MORNING AND INQUIRING IF THAT WOULD WORK, IT SURE DID. THEY CAME OVER, DID THEIR STUFF AND WE ALL ENDED THE DAY WITH CLEAN CLOTHES.

HE WAS ON TIME, DID THE WORK ASKED, CLEANED UP WELL, AND WAS EFFICIENT.

THE PLUMBER WAS HURRIED. WHEN ASKED HOW MUCH THE JOB WOULD COST HE STATED ONLY THE COST OF THE REPLACEMENT PUMP. DURING THE INSTALLATION THERE WAS MUCH CHATTER ABOUT UNRELATED SUBJECTS. HE NEVER WENT OVER THE WORK PERFORMED OR CONFIRMED THAT ALL THE COMPONENTS HAD ACTUALLY BEEN INSTALLED (I.E., STOP VALVE).

EXCELLENT. RETURNED CALL QUICKLY, CAME ON TIME, KNOWLEDGEABLE AND POLITE...VERY NICE GUY.

OUR RADIATOR VALVE STARTED LEAKING ONE EVENING AFTER WE TRIED TO ADJUST IT. I CALLED THE NEXT MORNING AND THEY CAME OUT LATER THAT MORNING AND FIXED THE PROBLEM PROMPTLY. VERY FAST SERVICE.

WE WOKE UP SATURDAY MORNING TO FIND THAT THE WATER HEATER WAS LEAKING ALL OVER THE FLOOR. I CALLED SEVERAL OTHER COMPANIES WHO EITHER COULDN'T FIX IT ON THE SAME DAY OR DIDN'T RETURN MY CALL. RAPID RESPONSE ANSWERED THEIR PHONE, ESTIMATED THE COST, AND SAID THAT THEY COULD BE OUT IN ABOUT AN HOUR. THEY CALLED TO SAY THEY WERE ON THE WAY, SHOWED UP ON TIME, REPLACED THE WATER HEATER VERY EFFICIENTLY (ALL DONE IN ABOUT AN HOUR), AND CLEANED UP. THE TOTAL WAS $1100, WHICH WAS WHAT THEY HAD TOLD ME AND IS THE SAME PRICE OTHER COMPANIES ESTIMATED. OVERALL, I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE SERVICE.

THEY ARE TRULY RAPID AND ALWAYS ON TIME. REPAIR MAN VERY COURTEOUS AND EXPLAINED WHAT HE WAS DOING. GREAT COMPANY.

GAVE ME AN APPOINTMENT 4 DAYS AFTER I CALLED, ARRIVED 15 MINUTES EARLY! INSTALLATION OF VANITY AND SINK WAS COMPLICATED DUE TO DRAWERS INTERFERING WITH PIPE PLACEMENT, BUT THEY DID A FABULOUS JOB. WORK TOOK 5 HOURS. VERY PLEASANT, CLEAN, THOROUGH. WOULD USE THEM AGAIN IN A HEARTBEAT.

I THOUGHT THEY WERE REALLY GREAT. I THOUGHT THERE WAS A LEAK IN MY KITCHEN FAUCET AND THEY LET ME KNOW THERE WAS NOT. THEY ALSO CHECKED THE TOILET FOR ME AND REPAIRED IT SO IT WOULDN'T BE AS NOISY. THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL. I THOUGHT THEIR PRICE WAS VERY GOOD. THEIR RESPONSE WAS GOOD. I WOULD USE THEM AGAIN.
