Description of Work: Overall, I commend the company for its excellent work. They encountered a potentially dangerous situation with my water boiler, rectified the problem and educated me as to how to prevent it in the future. They are truly steam heat experts. Many have complained about their prices - which are not the lowest - but when it comes to the safe heating of your home and the occupants inside, paying a little more for quality work is well worth the price. My only issue comes from the company management end. When you call, you are given a fixed price per half hour, descending as the job escalates in time - which is fair. What you are not told is that if the technician believes they will need an assistant, there will be an additional cost per hour. I have no issue paying for an extra person to work on the job, thus increasing the speed and potentially lowering the overall cost - however, customers should be informed of this when calling to make the appointment. In the end, however, PF plumbing absorbed that cost, which was fair, and I would definitely use them again.

Description of Work: Fixed a cracked PVC joint on our kitchen sink that was causing water to leak, and replaced the fill valve in one of our toilets. The work was done very well. The employee was conscientious and took extra time to clean up after performing the work. We've been using Paul Flaherty for our plumbing needs for the past 8 years and will continue to use them.

Description of Work: They advised that their current schedule would not allow them to work on my problem for about a week unless at night with greater cost. They would call if anything allowed work sooner. In view of this I chose another provider from Angie's List.

Description of Work: These guys are the best around Framingham area. They came to fix my tough drainage clog problem. The first time, the problem was not clear out completely. Then we called them again for second visit. They came and corrected most of the remaining issues.

Description of Work: They installed a new toilet. Price was reasonable. Main reason for writing is that after something went wrong with the toilet they came back and fixed it for free. would use again.

Description of Work: I had a dripping shower that turned into a serious stream of water at times. Mr. Flaherty came the same day...found the problem to be simple, he fixed it and didn't charge. How Great is that! We will definitely call him again.

Description of Work: The people were friendly and the response prompt. My C rating is for installaton of a Bradford White water heater when I thought I would be receiving a Rudd. The product switch was an unpleasant surprize give how much money I was spending. When the plumber arrived, he discovered I needed a power-vented water heater and he had brought one that vented to a chimney. This was my own naivte about water heaters. He said he could get a power vented model and it would cost me another $1000. Half way through installation, he showed me the warranty info and it was for a Bradford White. I should have stopped everything right then, but, I believed his statement that the BW was a fine water heater. A few weeks later, I had no hot water and the heater was turning itself on and off every 5 minutes trying to relight the pilot. It would not light unless I unplugged the unit for a day and turned it back on in the evening. This went on for several days and the plumber's response was: "Well, we don't usually deal with Bradford White." He would get back to me with manufacturer suggested fix for this problem. Haven't heard anything yet. The heater has been working ok now for a couple weeks, though repeatedly signalling a low pilot, which I still need to trouble shoot. I can't help but wonder if I would have had these problems if I had received the Rudd water heater I thought I was purchasing in the first place.

Description of Work: I had a leaking pressure valve on my water heater and he couldn't seem to figure out what the problem was. He was at my house for about 11/2 hour and replaced a small part and recommended I get an Expansion tank. He charged me 650.00 for the short time he was there and was going to charge me an additon 450.00 for the expansion tank. I opted not the get the expansion tank because he wasn't really sure that was really what I needed. He was very nice but I was not confident with his knowledge. I chose this company because it had all the bells and whistles on Angies List but I would never use them again.

Description of Work: I HAD A TOILET LEAK THAT WAS SLOWLY LEAKING TO THE FLOOR BELOW. CALLED ON A SATURDAY AND WAS TOLD THAT SOMEONE WOULD CALL MONDAY MORNING TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT FOR MONDAY AFTERNOON. NO ONE HAD CALLED BACK BY 10 AM MONDAY, SO I CALLED THEM. THE EARLIEST APPOINTMENT THAT COULD BE SCHEDULED WAS FOR WEDNESDAY FROM 12-2 PM WHICH I COULDN''T DO. THE EARLIEST MORNING APPOINTMENT AVAILABLE WAS 2 WEEKS LATER.
