good service and Jim explained everything he had done and also gave me some tips for making the computers work even better.

I had a hard drive failure in laptop. I tried two different recovery tools but the drive would not respond. Jim was able to recover all my data, all 102Gb of it. He even transfered the data twice to my secondary drive because it too hard an error issue. He definitely went the extra mile to help me out. Great job.

He is terrific. He was able to fix everything that he said he was going to. He did it quicker than his original estimate. I thought the price was reasonable.

Jim and his computer knowledge made me feel comfortable about taking both of my computers back to his office. I felt comfortable asking any questions and he was great sharing information and teaching me how to work better with my computer. He spent extra time with me to instruct me on some of the updates from Microsoft 2003 to 2007. I know I will be asking him back for any computer issues.

Jim did a terrific job helping to diagnose the issue with the hard drive. He went as far as researching the issue and providing me some background information as to what the exact issue was and how to go about pursuing reimbursement from the manufacturer. He performed the work over the course of 2 days and even gave me a loaner PC while he had mine. He also installed my operating system and associated drivers as well. Overall, Jim was friendly, informative and very helpful. I would recommend him to others and use him again in the future.

Jim saved us. We asked other people to recover our data and their price were absurd. Jim did it fast and well. He continuously updated us on the progress of his work and on the possible pitfalls. He was always available when we tried to contact him. He is a serious, honest professional. I recommend him to all people that have computer problems.

Jim courteously called to say he was running a bit late. He was extremely thorough and deliberate in every step of the process, making sure I understood what he was doing and why. He is articulate, attentive, affable, and affordable! (And very professional).

I took my hard drive to him and my computer is now running great. The price was also reasonable.

Went very well. Jim is knowledgable, personable, efficient, a pleasure to work with. He appears to know Macs and PCs equally well, and equally familiar with software and hardware. He was able to come over within a few days of my contacting him. As he worked, he explained clearly what he was doing and why, reviewed my options with me. He gave me pointers re: using the computer to suit my needs. Rates are reasonable. An excellent experience.

It was terrific. We weren't in a rush to get it repaired but I sensed that if we were then Jim would have come over ASAP. He came, did what he said he would do, returned it promptly and it works (I'm writing this review on the very machine). And the price was excellent!

As an application developer with 20+ years experience - many of the tech people that I worked with (think ... D&B Software, Lotus development, Oracle Consulting, etc) were smart but had ZERO PEOPLE SKILLS. Jim is a pleasure to work with. He's personable, smart and reasonable priced. Jim Rumreich arrived at my house to get rid of a virus. He quickly figured out that it wasn't a virus, found what was wrong, fixed it, found a few other things worth fixing, took my "dead" external drive to his lab, fixed it, came back and took care of the precious files I thought were lost--all this at a very reasonable rate. Not only that: he's a very likeable guy, a real pleasure to have around when you need him. Four stars.

I used him and he's great. I strongly recommend him. He's very affordable and the prices are good compared to other guys.

He was great. He was a bargain at what he charged. I had talked to him a year ago for a problem with my printer and he had referred me to someone who specialized in printers and hardware.

Being in a new house and having frequent internet connection, router and wireless issues, Jim promptly came to the house, calmly and skillfully worked his way through each obstacle - resulting in a fully operational wireless network, including for my sons xbox 360 - requiring a programming of our main router in some innovative way so we did not have to buy the proprietary wireless receiver from Sony Excellent work, thanks - I have no doubt I will calling again.......and again........

We had used Jim several months ago for another computer and called him again when we were having problems with this one. We brought the computer to Jim and he ran some scans and didn't find any immediate issues. He then brought it back to us, hooked it up and determined what the problem was. It has been fine ever since. Jim is great to work with and we highly recommend him.

He did what I wanted because I needed to get a report in. I have nothing, but high praises for him. He is ready to help me with anything, and he was on time. I have been very happy with him.

My PC was not booting up. I called two other computer services and after describing the problem I was having, they both said that I would have to bring my computer to them for repair. I called Geek Handyman Computer Services and after describing the problem to Jim Rumreich, he spent about 10 minutes with me while I was at my computer asking me diagnostic questions and having me try a few procedures to try to discover the cause of the problem. He then suggested that I unplug all my USB devices and try rebooting. This solved the problem. He spent a few more minutes with me answering my questions about why the USB devices would be causing this problem. When I asked how I could pay him for his services he said that there wouldn't be any charge. I was very impressed with Jim's friendly and professional manner and that he could identify the cause for this problem when the two previous computer services that I had called initially could not. His not charging me anything for his services was the icing on the cake.

I called Jim, reached him first try, and told him what I wanted to get help with. He commenced asking several questions, (the right questions) and conducted a lengthy phone consultation at no charge. He came and went right to work in a studious, conscientious manner. He also was quite enthusiastic, happy to teach me anything I wanted to know, and was pleasant to be with. There were several laughs along the way as well. Another nice thing about Jim is he brings with him any of the parts that might be necessary for the project. The customer can then buy or not buy any of them, without the necessity of having to schedule another appointment after the parts are procured.

My data was extremely important - the drives that broke WERE the backups; Jim was extremely concerned that I get as much data back as possible and worked hard to ensure that the most important data was actually in the set of recovered files. Some fits and starts because of illness, holidays, and my own slow decision making. Jim is very responsive, patient, and comprehensive in his work.

Jim got the hard drive to boot when another computer franchise repair store could not. And he did it faster and for less! Very nice guy.

Jim came to my house after work (awesome to not have to take time off work to do this) and worked on my computer for 4 hours. He explained everything he was doing to me- in essence fixing my computer and giving me a class on how to use certain features on my computer. Jim was prompt, professional, and answered all my questions without ever once suggesting that my errors were "user generated." Unlike many computer technicians I've worked with in the past, he made an effort to teach me, and show me how to fix my computer problems, and never once made me feel stupid about asking questions. And not only was Jim great- he also fixed all of my computer problems. If I had submitted this report immediately after I met with Jim, I'd have to issue a separate report, praising his services yet again. Somehow, about a week after Jim fixed my computer something else stopped working. Jim remote-accessed my computer, fixed the problem, and since it took about 20 minutes, didn't even charge me for the work. Jim is a great technician, an excellent teacher, and a really nice person to work with.

After contacting my internet provider's as well as Linksys technical support, I was still not able to set up my wireless network successfully. Jim knew exactly what needed to be done. He very expertly connected all the cables, tested, and I was able to use my wireless laptop without any problems after an hour. As a bonus, he also connected the laptop to an existing printer -- I was thinking about buying a dedicated printer for the laptop.

Still working through my issue, but so far, a great experience.

When I crashed my computer, Jim took it THE SAME DAY, on a Friday, and had the data retrieved by Sunday afternoon. I then had him come out to the house, and he helped me improve all three of my computers. Jim is a great guy and very generous with his time.
