Jim replaced and I have had no issues 6 months later

Great . Jim checked out my laptop after a small liquid spill on the keyboard left some keys unresponsive. He made sure it was was dry and that there had been no deeper infiltration to important parts. He also resolved a persistent and annoying problem opening the control panel.

Was great. Gave me cost effective solutions, knew Macs and PCs and solved all my problems!

It was good. The price was a little bit more than expected but it was good. He came at the time he said.

He provided good suggestions of how to troubleshoot the problem myself for starters. When that failed, he did troubleshooting himself. When that failed, he provided a way for me to get the data off the drive. As a computer professional myself, I thought his guidance was good, and I think he did good honest work which I appreciate.

Jim called me the day after I called leaving a message. He was highly professional, communicated clearly, and fixed my PC remotely, letting me watch what he did and explaining as he did the repair. He was easy to communicate with, thorough, guided me through what he did and why. This is my go-to guy for all future software issues I cannot resolve myself. Thanks Jim!

Jim responded on a weekend, tracked down the not-at-all-obvious cause (disk drive encryption had been turned on -- Apple's new default -- but was failing every 10 secs or so), and repaired it, even after Apple told him it couldn't be fixed and he should reinstall the OS and all my daughter's data. He also installed additional RAM at our request, and cleaned the machine internally. He was persistent, resourceful, responsive, and thoroughly professional at every turn. Really can't say enough good things about him. This isn't the first time he's helped us out, but it was by far the most weird and difficult situation, and he came through with flying colors. +1,000,000 in my book.

My son's HP Pavilion laptop fan was failing after a previous repair by different computer company. I called Jim and gave him all the details. He ordered the OEM parts specific for that model. When the parts arrived he had me drop off the laptop and he made the repair. He's very knowledgeable, genuinely nice, and easy to work with. He was very responsive to my phone calls and kept in contact with me. His pricing was reasonable ($237 for parts, shipping and labor). You can certainly get cheaper service (lower quality parts and less expertise) and I have, but it does not tend to get the job done. I will definitely use Jim again for any computer problems I have from now on.

Jim was terrific. He was very responsive to my questions and issues. He diagnosed and corrected all my computer problemswithin 24 hours and had my laptop running like new within 24 hours. I enjoyed the fact that he went through each issue and explained everything to me in layman's language so I would understand what the problem was and how he solved it. And his labor cost was amazingly reasonable. So much better than having a big-box store do the work. I could not recommend him any higher to anyone with computer issues. He was fabulous.

I have not heard from him in months. He has had my machine for over year and will not respond. Can only assume he has stolen my machine or lost it AVOID at all costs.

Jim fixed what was a catastrophe for me. I'd hired remote contractors (Live Fix Support/Star Satellites & Communications, Inc.) who "seemed" to know what they were doing, but after installing an $80 super firewall my system crashed. I thought I'd lost everything. Jim quickly diagnosed the problem and had my computer back to me in 24 hours, totally fixed and now running faster than ever. Jim's also offered to help me build a customized pc as my next computer. This guy is a superb engineer, friendly, knowledgeable, professional and cost effective. Look no further.

He is very professional and very knowledgeable. He disassembled the lap-top and removed the heat syncs, and re-did the thermal gel and re-assembled everything. My over-heating problem is completely gone. I had another problem that he looked at and told me what was needed to be done. He came to my house to fix the computer. The service went really well. He spent more time than expected and charged me what he originally said he would.

Because of the installation of a new router by my internet provider my computer was no longer communicating with my printer. Jim came over and solved the problem in no time. Pleasant, smart and not condescending to a non-computer literate person as myself.

Jim is friendly. he is also flexible about the time he can service computer. We did most of our work remotely on the phone while I was at home. He also gave me some suggestions for finding free security software. .

Jim replied to my email inquiry within an hour of my sending it. Based on my lengthy description of my father's special needs, Jim conducted research and provided me with a list of products, and the links that would allow me to buy them from providers online. He would have made the purchases and installed them if I had needed that service. He also shared a series of tips to help me with the set-up. I felt he was very thorough and thoughtful about helping someone with very little computer knowledge.

So Jim has had my machine now for over 3 months. The problem was diagnosed - the mother board connectors were broken. but since then I have had no communication despite numerous emails. he has disappeared with my $1400 laptop. I am hoping that this review will kick him into responding - if not a letter from my lawyer will be the next step.

I found them on Angie's List and they were pretty bad. They did not resolve my problem and the person I was speaking to had sort of a superior tech attitude that guys like that often take on when they know a lot and make me feel like an idiot. He got snotty a couple of times and they did not resolve the problem and did not seem to know how to resolve the problem. I found out later that something he could have suggested he didn't so it was an hour of wasted time. I spend nothing on it because they were unable to get into my computer and resolve the problem.

I was communicating with Jim via email to arrange a drop-off. He was having a busy week and asked me to contact him the next week to arrange for a drop-off. Emailed Jim twice the next week to confirm a time and he never responded...
