We made an appointment for the estimate and the person never showed up. Two hours later, I called the office to complain. The answering service said she would contact the person and have him call me. He never called.

+ -1 moreThey have not been good following up whatsoever. I had similar problems in the past with getting contact just initially a little bit, but not like this. I won’t use them now. This past time for whatever reason; they said they would come out a couple of different times and they scheduled time. They never called, never came and no follow up. So I am not going to use them. The quality of their work the last time was fine and they did an okay job. The last time it was hard initially to get contact with them; but they contacted me much better than this time. This time they just never called. This was not just one call; it was like 3-4 calls and emails. They were punctual the first time they came. But I don’t know what’s going on this time. I will not use them again. I understood that they were clearing out of Foxborough; and they were dealing with all the mess in the beginning of last year when Foxborough had tons of downed trees everywhere. I understood pushing me off and waiting; but they never even contacted me. I called three times and emailed. Finally they called me back, and said that they were clear and they would talk to me. But they never contacted me and this went on three different times. It was not very professional.
Description of Work: I used the services of Tree Tech Inc. We had work for them to do and I called them. They called me and said they were going to come out three different times but they never did. They never started it. They were supposed to come out and look at the work and give us an estimate. I have used them in the past.

They kept me up to date on when they would cut down the tree and when they would remove the debris. They did every thing they said they would and at the price they gave me. I highly recommend them.

+ 0 moreMore cost effective. They will be coming twice a year for various treatment. They are do things more organically. They were great, large crew for a 1/2 day maybe 3/4 of a day. They were incredible efficient, they left no trace if you will, they were very clean about it. I had no idea how much limbs could cost. I was very pleased with them. It was $500 less than the competition. He spent so much time answering questions and I am in a wheelchair so I took a little bit longer to get over to where he was and he would take a leaf and say well this is what we would be working on, do you see this, the reason why we don't just cut things down, the reason why we take a little longer to prune, we try to take the sunshine in, if you notice it looks like it is alive from the outside and he spread some of the shrubs and it is completely dead wood inside. He was explaining all that in a way, I don't have a degree in landscaping, that I understood very well. So choices could be made. I was very appreciative of that and then the job that they did which is this tree bark that I am talking about, they explained that it wouldn't last forever, they explained that they are not just going to come and once and solve all the problems forever. And by the way the stretch of land that I am talking about was at least 80 ft. you should know that for the price and it looked better than I thought and I thought they would have had to put the tree bark all the way which would have impeded the possibility if I desired to, to go down that particular path the other side of this flower bed which I am probably never going to do but they didn't have to, I happened to mention that it was a concern of mine and when they were actually doing the work they saw that they did not have to. So it looks actually really nice. It is actually pleasing to the eye as well as they paid attention to what my desires are. The explanation which I thought was great, even though it wasn't what I want to hear, was it was not going to be one fix you know pay this price to me which was going to be a lot of money and be done with it. If I had to spend that much money he made it palatable, so that is saying something. The fact that they actually forgot to send us the bill and I had to call them to make sure I was on the schedule that I was on. They are very ethical.
Description of Work: Tree Tech Inc came and did a very large job for us in terms of, they got a truck, they cut some limbs down on a very large tree, they did a huge assessment. They came in and did a huge job getting rid of some evasive vines between our pines, scrubbing all the underbrush beneath the pines at the edge of our property and laying down natural tree bark. The job was pruning with a truck, assessing all the trees and shrubs and then cleaning out the brush.

+ -1 moreI had a large pine tree in the front of my house that was visibly rotting near the stump. I called and talked to Dennis Brodeur over at Tree Tech. He said someone would be by within a few days to make an assessment and write out a proposal. We did not even have to be home, as they did the inspection and left the proposal in the door while I was at work. The proposal was for $650 to cut down the rotting tree and also for another tree next to it, which they determined needed to be cut down. I agreed to the proposal and they asked if anyone would need to be home to do the work. I told them they could do it whenever they had time. Within a week, the two trees were gone. The whole area was cleaned up really well. I got the invoice today and it was for the $650 from the proposal. No hidden fees or charges. This company was very responsive, courteous, and professional. I will definitely do business with them again.
Description of Work: Two rotting pine trees were removed from the front of my house. They were both between 60-75 feet tall.

+ -1 moreThey charged us around $2000. Their price was extremely reasonable for the amount of work that they did. They did a really beautiful job of cleaning up the yard when they were done. They actually messed up our scheduling. However, when they realized that they had done this, they had a representative at our door to fix it within 10 minutes of making a phone call. They were really good and we liked them. Their pricing was good. I would use their services in the future too.

+ -1 moreThe crew came out at 8 AM as scheduled and we walked around the property. There were three men, who were intelligent, true arborists who offered their opinions on what they thought would be the way to approach the job, in a way that would make the other trees grow better, by thinning out some additional areas, and I told him "You know what you are doing, you are the professional, and I give you Carte'Blanche to do what you feel is the correct way to get the results we wanted. These guys are artists. Words cannot explain how gorgeous our trees and yard look. I grew up with my father always hacking at trees, and my mother horrified at what he did. Because my job is research for an International Company, I have access to the correct ways that everything should be done, and TreeTech delivered more than words can say. They did not complete the job until after 4 PM, and the three of them took a rake and raked up the entire lawn beautifully. The next day Edgar came to grind the stumps 6 inches below ground level, and explained to me why he could not grind one up, and that was due to the proximity of our Maple trees, and could kill their rooting system. Again, another perfectionist that took pride in his job, and did a tremendous job. Again, he could have grinded that stump anyway, and I would have had a dead tree, and need tree service for a dead tree. We had tree work done back in the 1990's by another company, who I would have used again, or so I thought until I saw what these men did. I am so impressed, that I intend on hiring them for spraying my trees in a timely manner so I dont have to deal with Gypsy moths in the spring and all the other little insects, that eat the leaves of our beautiful trees. I'm sure this review sounds "Over the top" but it is the truth. Our neighbors are so thankful that they do not have to worry about those Pine Tree branches falling on their vehicles or yard, and the view of our front yard from across the way and street, look like a million bucks. I will try to see if my husband can take some pictures, and if so, I will add them to this report. I have written several reports on Angies List and have been a member since it was a small unknown service. By far, this is the highest praise I have ever given, and I hope that it will continue with other services that I hire. We just came home from driving into the city and bypassing several town commons that Tree Tech services, and they all look like pictures you would see on a calander, due to foliage change. They were all spectacularly shaped and looked like Artist Drawings. Anyone can cut down a tree. However, if you are looking for a quality job, and want your yard to look beautiful, for when you sit out in your home, Tree Tech is the company to hire.
Description of Work: I have dealt with more contractors this past year, than I have in the past five, and without a doubt, Tree Tech has been the very best in every category. Prior to Hurricane Irene, I placed several calls for estimates to have all our trees pruned and shaped, and receive an honest opinion about their health, as we have several in the front of our yard, and enjoy privacy. Several of our neighbors have had tree work done, and they end up looking like Totem Poles. We take great pride in our property and do most of the work ourselves, as we are extremely meticulous. After all, it is all about curb appeal, and keeping the trees alive and healthy and add beauty. Tree Tech, was the second place to return my call out of five I attempted to reach. Dan came the very next day, and walked around the grounds with us, answering questions about the the health of our Very tall Maple, Oak, Pine, Crabapple, cherry, dogwoods and various varieties of Spruce and Hemlock trees, and was able to tell us what was eating and killing the trees that we rely on for privacy, which is very important to us, as we enjoy the privacy that they provide. He promised to email me an estimate the next day, and he did exactly that. He completely understood what we wanted, and promised that he could deliver that. Our septic system is located in the front yard, so it was extremely important that no equipment be on the lawn, and still have the ability to remove 2 giant Pine trees that were on the border of a neighbors yard, where they park their vehicles. In total, we had 14 trees pruned and 5 removed. We never received call backs from 3 of the other companies, who are also on Angies List, even though I made calls, and sent emails directly from the Angies List page. I will also mention that the other company who was right on the ball, and also arborists, price was less than Tree Tech, and Dan lowered the price to be less than his original estimate and lower than the other guy, who I would have hired, but was unable to perform the work for 3 1/2 weeks. Because I have a spinal cord disability and both mothers in nursing homes, it was essential that the work be done asap, as we are on 24/7 call and wanted to be here when the work was done. The communication that I had with Dan prior to the work being done, including the delivery of the insurance binder, received from their insurance company, was perfect, and the first time that I did not need to argue about placing our name on the binder, ever! This is a huge triple "A" in my book, as I have come across many liars that insist they have the correct insurance, but never do. I sent this to my agent who was very impressed, as he is the one who taught me exactly what is needed for insurance, when any worker does work on your house. Again, Perfection!

Description of Work: I was referred to this company by Arborway Tree Care, Inc because I was out of the service area for Arborway. Arborway Tree Care Inc specifically referred me to Pat Gilday. Mr. Gilday just left my home and I am outraged by the the impression and business practises of this company. Mr Gilday told me that a trunk of a tree needed to come down because it was rotten. When I told him that another company had been out here with an estimate and said that it had life to it and did not need to come down. Mr Gilday immediately started to inquire if my insurance company was going to cover the cost. When I replied no that my mother, elderly and on fixed income was paying for the work so I need the estimate in a couple of parts to see what we could afford...removing a fallen tree trunk and possibly removing other standing tree trunks. Mr Gilday inquired if I had received other estimates. I replied that I had. Mr. Gilday informed that he needed to charge me for today's estimate. I repeated back to him...you need to charge me for today's estimate. Mr. Gilday replied "well, yes, I came out today on a Saturday plus gas to get here" I immediately asked Mr. Gilday to leave. Your company charges to give estimates on potential business. I guess you must do outstanding work if every minute of time has a price tag.....ARE YOU KIDDING ME !!! I am copying this message and sending it to my entire email network of over 100 addresses to beware of your company and it practises.

+ -1 moreI called 3 companies and tree tech was the first to call back and then schedule the earliest time for an estimate.Paul arrived exactly in time and gave (as it appeared later) the best price.I was unable to come during the day to see them working, but when I came after work that day - everything was the same except 2 big branches of a very tall tree on my backyard. I'm very pleased with their job and will call them again if needed.

+ -1 moreWe have got old trees whose branches break up. They cut them out before they hit the house. The last time they came, I spent approximately $200. They did trim the trees. They didn't really do quite enough, so we had to call them back. They came back and cleaned some more stuffs. They were pretty responsive, but the first time they didn't do everything they should have done. When I called them again, I didn't have to pay anything.

+ -1 moreFor years I used another service. I called them about a job and it was much to big for them. They gave me Tree Tech as a recommendation for the work. I can't say enough about them. Their price was good. The tree is just huge with power wires running through the branches. It was a hard job and they were amazing,. They had to come through my neighbor's property to access the tree. Everyone was happy with their service. It was fairly expensive because it was a bog job but it was competitive. They knew I didn't want to take it down but they were wonderful through the whole experience. My neighbor thought they were amazing as well. I am giving them the best recommendation possible.
