Natural Path Landscaping was the most professional contractor we have ever dealt with -- they were at our house promptly at 7:00am every morning and put in a very hard day's work. They were very polite and helpful and did an excellent job cleaning up every night. Tom had estimated that the project would take about 6 days -- removed the front stairs, cement walkway, light post and all the shrubs. They installed granite steps, a front walkway (paved with techo-bloc parisien pavers), a granite light post, granite post for mailbox and edged the garden with cobblestones (which pulled the pavers and granite stairs together...giving everything a cohesive look). I loved the cobblestone edging so much that we ended up doing it for the entire house instead of just one side. Tom even took the time to go to a nursery with me to assist in selecting new plants to replace the very overgrown shrubs that they removed. Tom was very helpful in the design and materials used for the walkway and edging. He also suggested the granite light post and mailbox post -- which came out better than expected. They finished the job on time (even though we added to the scope of the original estimate). When we initially met with Tom, I asked him to help me get some curb appeal for my house...and that is what I got.

Their price was reasonable. They just called to follow up but we weren’t home at the time of appraisal.

They did an excellent job. We previously hired Natural Path to build a retaining wall, and were very satisfied with the work so we decided to hire them again to repair a flagstone walkway and patio, repair brick steps, and pressure wash brick steps and home exterior (to remove moss, dirt, etc). Communication was excellent, and the work was well done. Tom and his crew were very professional, showed up on time, and completed the job as scheduled. We asked that power washing be done using only water (to avoid using chemicals) and results were excellent. We would certainly hire the company again for landscaping/hardscaping projects such as building stone or brick walls, walkways, steps, and patios. The company has high standards and they are professional, reliable, easy to work with, and very client-oriented, one of the best companies we've worked with among many who have done various projects on our home over the years.

Tom Kraus was the most professional, attentive, knowledgeable, and communicative contractor with whom we have ever worked, and over the years, we have hired many. He was always prompt when a meeting was scheduled; he wrote one of the most detailed and professional contracts we have had presented by a contractor, and the final work is beautiful. He estimated the work to take 9 days, and it was completed in less, even with Tropical Storm Irene in the middle of the job without any power in our town for several days. We couldn't be more pleased.

They have done a great job so far. It is going great and they are doing a really good job. Tom Kraus the owner of the company is very professional, very responsive and he knows what he is doing. He is also doing a quality job. I think the price would be around $15000 at the end. I feel like it is a fair price even though we didn?t get any other bids. I would definitely use their services in the future too.

Tom Kraus did an excellent job replacing a large timber retaining wall (100 ft X 5.5 ft) that needed to be rebuilt. After getting 5 quotes, we chose Natural Path Lanscaping because we were impressed with Tom's professionalism, attention to detail, and communication. I was also impressed with the Natural Path website, which shows many photos of their work and made a positive impression. The quote was in the middle compared to other quotes, perhaps slightly higher than the average, but we felt the quote was quite reasonable given our choice of high-quality materials and scope of the project. Tom was very easy to work with. He took the time to discuss design, choice of materials, and other details while planning the job. He communicates well and is highly professional and client-oriented, responsive to customer's suggestions and willing to make changes along the way to satisfy the customer. He kept us updated throughout the project via email or phone. His crew members Justin and Tim were courteous, professional, and competent. The new retaining wall is beautiful (we've received many compliments!) and we are very satisfied with all aspects of the job. We plan to hire them for another project (replacing stone walk and patio). We highly recommend Natural Path Landscaping for landscaping/hardscaping, masonry, and work with stone, brick, granite, and gravel.

After creating a beautiful front entrance to my home in 2007, Tom came back to design and install a granite walkway with granite curb by the side entrance to my home which leads to a oval-shaped granite patio in the the backyard. Tom is a perfectionist and a craftsman - the perfect combination in a contractor. He is meticulous, neat and very professional. I cannot say enough about him. I wish I had another project for him to tackle.

In the end, we worked with another company who had some different ideas than Tom that we ended up preferring and with a cost that was a bit less than Tom's initial quote.

Tom did a fabulous job on this project. He presented us with a clear drawing of exactly what he would do during the estimate phase. The install of the steps was done on time and the attention to detail was amazing. Tom really cares about his work and pays more attention to the little details then anyone else. He really takes pride in his work. Tom is a true master with stone design and work. I can't wait to do another project with him.

The did a fantastic job! They were very prompt, professional, and courteous. They worked around our schedule, which was appreciated. They were able to complete it in one day while we were at work. They made the project easy for us.

Tom Kraus is the owner. He came out and he was nice. He didn?t quote anything since I wanted plants. So he referred me to a woman who is more into landscaping and he is more into hardscaping. He explained to me and told me that he does patios and walls than plants. He was fine. I don?t have any complaints about him. I would definitely call him back for an estimate.

I couldn't be more pleased with the work that Tom, Justin, and Tim did with the installation of my new front steps. They did an exceptional job, very efficiently. I sought out Natural Path because I wanted the new steps to be solid granite, which they specialize in working with. The job began with Tom coming out to evaluate and measure the setting. Because my house sits lower than street level, and the sidewalk has a slope, the installation of the new steps would not be simple. In addition, I wanted a large granite slab (4 ft x 5ft) installed at the base of the new steps as a transition up to the front porch - this slab would be positioned in a tight space several feet below street level. Tom didn't bat an eye - he went right to work figuring out just how to get the job done. The very next day, he provided a set of plans and an estimate for the work. Once the granite order was ready from the quarry, Tom arranged immediately to start the work, and the installation went very smoothly in just a couple of days. Tom has an analytical attention to detail and an aesthetic sense that combined to produce a wonderful new front entrance to my house, enhancing its appearance greatly. It was obvious from my first interaction with Tom that he takes exceptional pride in his work. And not only was the job done completely to my satisfaction, but Tom and his crew were very courteous and a pleasure to work with. A+ all the way for Natural Path!

They are an excellent landscaper. I used them twice. They are very professional and they show up on time. They do very good work and they are good people to deal with. The price was pretty good.

The project from start to finish was excellent. Tom and his team did a great job in terms of the construction and design work. They put in some very long (hot) days and the wall looks great. It is often the "little things" that make a job go well and Tom is very good at them. Examples are 1) the upfront planning, drawings, and contracting such that the layout of each stone in the walk was determined before the first shovel hit the ground, 2) the work area was cleaned each day, 3) he provided very good ideas throughout, 4) was open to our ideas and found a way to integrate, 5) worked well and proactively with other service providers involved in the project, 6) communicated throughout in terms of status updates and next steps, 7) was flexible as we asked for little changes here and there. His approach is very meticulous and it shows in the end product. We met with several contractors when planning the project. Many did very good work, but we were impressed with Tom's overall approach to the planning and attention to detail. In our mind, that turned out to be the difference between a good result and a great one.

The work went great. They arrived on time and put in long hard days. The removal of the porch was particularly tedious taking 9 hours to complete with a jack hammer. They coordinated their efforts with a paving company to integrate their work with the replacement of my driveway. All materials came on time and all work was done according to detailed plans provided by the company. The results are spectacular. I spent more than I planned as I expanded my project scope after seeing how great the work was turning out.

I struggled to find a contractor who knew what I was talking about when I told them I wanted full granite stairs. I even went so far as going to the granite supplier to find out if it was a potential DIY project. My house looks phenomenal thanks to Tom's work. My neighbors are still talking! Tom's precision, cleanliness, punctuality and work ethic made a lasting impression on all who watched him work. I would not entertain work from another contractor. Tom will be back to work in the spring to give me a patio. He is very professional, insightful and dedicated to creating a thing of beauty. He loves his work and it shows.
