They came in and figured out what it was. They fixed it and didn’t have to come back. They were fine. They came when they said they were going to be. The guy was nice. He diagnosed it quickly and fixed it quickly. The work was fine. I didn’t have anything to compare the price to and it was a small job. It seemed reasonable.

They did a good job and we would use them again in the future.

I've used them to fix the bathroom and I used them for the water heater. We had a clog on the basement and I used them for that. I've actually used them for a lot of things. He's very good and you never have to call him back twice. I've used him in other houses we own. We've been using him for years. If he does work for you, it's done and it's done right. He also cleans where he's supposed to be. I honestly can't say enough about him.

They're very good.? They're excellent and I really liked them a lot.? The son and the dad came out to do the job; they just know the business in and out.? I trust them completely.? They presented recommendations us to the pros and cons to the different kinds of systems.? I felt confident that I did the right thing and it was great.

I have a history of feeling ripped off by plumbers so I've challenged myself to do as much of this work myself if possible. When doing a minor job i had to turn off the main water since one of my shut off valves was not working correctly. After fixing the problem in my bathroom sink, I went to turn on the water and the water didn't go back on. I spent the evening googling and calling folks, for I thought it was something simple. There was nothing on the internet that I could find. My wife went to Angie's list and picked this company. I called at 8am from work the following Monday morning. This was the first monday after the holidays, so very busy i'm sure for a lot of folks. I spoke with their calling service and after a bit of phone tag (my fault, I was in meetings), I talked to the plumber, Mike, and described to him the problem. Unlike the internet, he knew what the problem was and gave me all the options and how much all the options could possibly be. I asked him to be flexible with the time with me since I was at work and needed time to get home. he gave me a time frame and again, it was my fault that I snuck out to CVS and he gave me a call and had to wait on me some more. I showed him the problem and he confirmed what he thought it was, and gave me the options based on time and money. I opted for the most expedient way, and he was done in about 15 minutes or so. I could have gone back to work if I wanted to, but was feeling ill so I stayed home. Overall, the problem would have taken me an entire day to diagnose, so the money was well worth it. I would have had to order a part that would have been pricey to get overnight since i had no running water. Instead we snuck through this with only a morning of showering at work and $249. Overall, they were super responsive, knowledgeable, and professional. Mike told me that he was third generation in the business, which I really respected, for their name stands for something to them. I would recommend them to others for sure. They gave me a small discount for hearing of them on Angie's list. I used a check to pay since it was less than I thought it would be. But they take credit cards if it was a major job and it took me by surprise.

The service was excellent. They were timely, professional and thorough. The price was high but other than that we were very satisfied with this company.

Mike called ahead, was professional and knowledgeable. After picking up my water heater from Home Depot that I had purchased, and pulling a permit to install it, he arrived, replaced the eater heater and took the old one away. He also took a few moments to quickly analyze my dishwasher issue (buying a new one makes more sense than paying to repair the old one) and also advising me on my bathroom issue. My tub gurgles occasionally when the toilet is flushed. He thought it was a venting problem., recommended I get someone to look at the pipes on the roof. He also looked at my outdoor hose on/off switch that seemed stuck. Gave me recommendations after getting it to move. Will need to replace within the next few years. Mike was great and he will be my go to guy for all my future plumbing related needs.

My wife and I needed our sink installed, after our previous, became unavailable. Called Mike to check his schedule and left a message with the answering service. Mike called me back within 30 minutes, and then fortunately my wife found another plumber prior to his call. I must say I was impressed with the response time from message to when he called me.

Things went well. We had originally planned to DIY the fix but I'm really glad we didn't because it wasn't a PVC pipe issue at all, rather, the faucet was leaking internally. I never would have figured that out on my own and would have pointlessly tried to fix the pipes. Pricing was again explicitly laid out and it was thoroughly explained that this issue would likely not resolve unless a new faucet was installed but that we could try - however, he said that for the cost of the service/repair, it would probably be smarter to just purchase a new faucet instead of paying a very similar price for a faucet that may still not function. He stated that if we wanted to go that route, he could go grab lunch while I went to the store and then come back and remove the sink until I returned. I took him up on the generous offer as I was anxious to get the issue resolved, and I was very impressed that he would alter his day like that. Within an hour I had a new faucet up and running and no leaks. He even had a spare soap dispenser to fill the gap where my old spray nozzle (no longer needed) had been so that aesthetically, the sink looked more cohesive. From speaking with the owner it was obvious he takes pride in his business and in serving his customers well. While I certainly hope to never need them for a leak again, I will definitely be calling when we eventually remodel our kitchen and bathrooms.

I called Mike because our Amtrol indirect water heater had a small leak around the supply inlet. He made me aware that the Amtrol water heater had a lifetime warranty and that the core could be replaced. I was expecting to be ordering a new water heater but his suggestion saved me lots of money. We exchanged some info over the phone and he showed up days later with the part to do the job. He also had to add a shutoff valve and replace another unrelated part. My only regret is that I did not receive an itemized bill for the work. For this reason, and because I think it was a little higher than I had imagined for the work completed, a price rating a B is given.

Mike called me right back and was able to fit me into his schedule pretty quickly. The job went smooth and everything looks and works great now. I would definitely use Mike again.

Michael explained the work -- what was wrong -- what was need to fix the issue. Do yourself a favor -- Go with MJ Eisenhauer Plumbing -- and do not end up with crappy work and leaky pipes. Just in case you have missed this point -- leaky pipes will wreck your hardwood floors -- wreck your insulation -- lead to mold and cost a boatload of damage that you will need to fix. Michael took the time to explain what was wrong and why every step of the way.

While in my basement he noticed another leak and asked if I wanted to cap it. That was a small extra fee and well worth avoiding another call.

They did a superb job, he went above and beyond what needed to be done.

He was outstanding. He asked very appropriate questions. So he knew what he was going to get into, how much the estimate was going to be. He was very knowledgeable. Before he came down I explained where the leak could have been, what type of leak it could be, whether it was a leak from the line or leak from the drain. He explained it all. That way he could just show up, do his work and he cleaned up very well. He is great. He was very punctual. He was willing to call when needed. His customer service picked it up, called me back very soon. Find out what the problem was. He was prompt when he got there

Mike answered our message on the same day and came by in the afternoon. He worked quickly and very efficiently. My wife was very pleased with the results, and our old (25 year) showers now run perfectly. We couldn't be happier with the results.

Outdoor Faucet: I had a Legend T-550 1/4 turn frost free faucet installed by another plumber only 3 years ago and it was leaking badly from the spigot. Mike said that these faucets have a ceramic part that does not perform well in New England weather. He removed it and installeed a new Wolverine Brass Faucet (made in USA). During the freezing weather, he suggested that I shut off the water in the cellar and leave the outdoor faucet open all winter to allow any moisture buildup to drip out of the faucet.

Work was done quickly and efficiently. It could have been done faster, had plumber had brought condensate tube and other parts with him. Instead the plumber left and returned several times, each time bringing additional parts. The only savings in time that could have been accomplished was the time lost when plumber left to acquire additional parts. The plumber worked very efficiently while he was performing work at my home (the lost time was when he wasn't at my home). This was a relatively simple install, done on ground floor, in utility room behind garage. I was surprised that copper tubing was removed, and replaced with plastic flex tubing. I was also surprised that steel gas pipe was removed, and replaced again with a plastic flexible tubing. My house is relatively new, and the piping looked in good condition. The purchase price included a Rinnai RL75i unit, which provides ample hot water. All valves (for clean out), tubing, vents were included in the price. The installation was done perfectly, and the unit has since functioned perfectly. The installation was a little pricier, because I requested special access to be added to allow the system to be cleaned out. We did not have the recirculation pump installed. The work was done at the exact quoted price. The price seemed fair, based on other estimates I received, and knowing the high quality work I could expect from Eisenhauer. Though, since a range was quoted, I didn't understand that a set fee was quoted for the job, regardless of time. This didn't make sense to me, since if the fee was set, then why was a range quoted. I would probably clarify what items would result in a low fee vs. a high fee in any future contract. The plumber dropped off his equipment the day before, and charged his batteries using my electricity. I had a negative feeling about that. I don't mind using my electricity while work is being performed, but charging batteries seem excessive. As mentioned, copper and steel pipes were removed and replaced with plastic. In retrospect, I should have had a written agreement, and had that specified in the agreement. In summary, the Eisenhauer plumbers do an excellent job, are priced for high quality service, and I will definitely use them again. Though, for a big job, I will have materials specified in a written estimate before job is done. Eisenhauer did offer to quote a price for installation only, assuming I buy the materials, though I didn't explore that option. Finally, a word on tank-less water heaters vs tank water heaters. While tank-less water provide endless hot water, there is a wait time to get the hot water to the faucet, and turning off the hot water, even briefly, results in additional wait time for the hot water to once again reach the faucet. So, once the hot water is turned on, it's left on, until it's use is done (for example, throughout the entire shower). This does waste water. This may be eliminated by adding a recirculation system, but adding the system would negate some (or all) of the savings in going tank less, in addition to adding more cost for the unit, and more wear and tear on the tank-less unit..

Mike was terrific. I had been searching for a plumber for a while now since my former one retired, and a leaking exterior faucet forced me to do this now. Angie's List did not steer me wrong once again. I couldn't be happier with the work and Mike's knowledge of his trade. I would recommend him without reservation and will definitely be using him in the future for all of my plumbing needs. Overall an excellent experience! If you want it done the right way, this is the company to call.

Once we made the decision on which path to take, he obtained the parts and completed the work very quickly. I would highly recommend him, and would hire him again if a need arises.

I couldn't be happier. I placed emergency service call about the burst pipe at 1pm, Mike called back within 15 minutes, he arrived at 2pm and the pipe was fixed at 2:30pm. In the process he also noticed that a ball valve for an outside faucet had cracked. After discussing options I had him cut out the broken valve and cap the pipe.

Overall the work was exceptional, timely and cost fair. The customer service reps have improved (I've used this service several times in the past) however trying to leave information for the plumbers via the reps is still difficult (they appear to either read from a script or are confused). This should not be a reason to not use this company, it's just an area that needs improvement but has no impact on the plumbing service or the excellent quality provided.

My experience with MJ Eisenhauer Plumbing is one where it is a pleasure to have a chance to share a review. I found a few different contractors to come to my home to assess the work and to write up an estimate. This also gave me a chance to meet the contractors. When I first spoke to Mike Jr. on the phone, I was immediately impressed with how direct he was, explained generally what was involved in this type of job, and even gave an idea what the cost would be in materials and labor. When he came to look at the job, it just reinforced the confidence that he was a 'straight shooter', and that there would be good follow through. I was so happy with the work that was done. Mike Sr. and Mike Jr. were a pleasure to deal with, personable, punctual, and the work was done carefully. True professionals. For any recommendations, or for future work, I will be calling here first.
