Description of Work: This is the third of fourth time I've used Steve. He is incredibly professional and respectful. His price is fair, the job is done on time and completely to my satisfaction. I'm in the rental property business so I'm renovating homes from time to time and consider Steve my go-to guy for floor refinishing.

Description of Work: I had my floors refinished. Steve arrived on time and completed the work. There was a problem with some bubbles in the last layer, but I contacted him and he returned the next morning to fix the problem.

Description of Work: Very difficult to get hold of in the beginning. Price and plan seemed fair, but quality was low. Lots of bubbles in the urethane, drips, hairs etc. Didn't totally clean after himself. Did not respond to calls after regarding this.

Response from SOUSA'S FINE FLOORS
[removed member name] was simply an impossible client to satisfy. [removed member name] also did not make payment as he had arranged to; having post dated a check by several days. His job was a very small refinishing job at a considerable distance from my location (I did not charge him extra for extended travel time). His house was situated up a rocky hill requiring a very difficult portage of equipment. He also was very slow to communicate with. He insisted that I recoat some floors that I recommended needed a full refinish job; I clearly foretold [removed member name] that those floors would not look as good as the floor area sanded to bare wood. I was mindful of his stated limited budget and tried to accommodate him. I also did a patching job for him that I did not charge. He stated that other floor refinishing companies would not do his work (that should have been a warning sign for me). I would not recommend this Angie's list member to other contractors.
