Once we decided to use him, he was able to schedule the work in two weeks. He explained what he would be doing and that the job would take three days. Everything went exactly as he outlined with one additional piece of work. Steve needed to make a threshold between the living room and hallway which he did and it looks great. He was very detail oriented, came on time, finished the job in the time stated (3 days), cleaned up after himself, was friendly, courteous and professional. The floors look awesome - even more beautiful than we hoped for!! We would definitely hire Steve again.

It went beautifully. I had put carpet tiles on my steps last year for my poor blind and deaf dog. He was slipping so much, I had to do something. I didn't realized that "carpet tape" is like superglue and after struggling to take them off, they left a pretty large amount of sticky residue on the stairs. I was nervous about telling Mr. Sousa about it but after he looked at them, he told me not to worry. It would take longer but he could handle it. He did! They are gorgeous and I know he went through a lot of sandpaper for that. The floors sparkle. Couldn't be happier.

The service was fantastic, I have no complaints. They were very trustworthy and good people to work with. I intend to use them for another room soon.

Outstanding. Mr. Sousa agreed to do the job while we were away for the weekend. He called us as he was concerned about the stain saturation but agreed that another coat would be the best resolution. Our floors now all look brand new with minimal dust to clean up. He was always very punctual with his appointments and his costs were right in line with some of the other quotes we received. But, he had an "angies list coupon" that we could apply! Would highly recommend him for services.

Steve came to give an estimate within a day or two of my call to him. He knows about the wood floors and said my floor, which had some flaws, would come out nice. I made an appointment to have him do the job. He started within a few weeks of our first meeting. He came back 3 days in a row to sand, then put on a coat of poly each day. He was prompt, courtious,and kept the job site clean. The floor did come out very nice, as he said it would. I decided that I wanted a little more protection for the floor so I called and asked him if he could apply one more coat. He came back and applied another coat. I will call him again for other floors in the house.

It went very well. He met all my expectations. Sowed up when he said he would and finished the work in a timely manner. Very professional and a great overall experience. I will be using him in the future and would recommend him to others.

Steve began work on a Saturday and he sanded our kitchen, dining room and living room. He arrived at 8:00 am and never left until after 6:30 pm. When Steve arrived, he sanded a small area and tried different stains and finishes so that we could choose what we were looking for. Steve arrived each morning for 4 consecutive days, at his scheduled time, and upon completion our floors were beautiful. Our home was originally a barn that was converted to a house in 1940. The original floors in the dining room and living room are made from porch flooring and the kitchen, which we added on, is oak. Steve was able to successfully match the colors of these different woods which completely amazed us. We highly recommend Steve and would hire him again.

Mr. Sousa was prompt in responding to my request for a quote and was a most professional, patient, and courteous gentleman throughout this experience. He responds to telephone calls and emails quickly. The floors look amazing. He was able to remove thirty years of wear and staining and restore them to a brilliant finish. The cost was quite reasonable. I would gladly recommend his services. Thank you Mr. Sousa.

He, Steve, was one of the best the people I have ever worked with. I originally had used a company I got off Angie's List that had all A's from Easthampton. Several people looked at our floors after they were done and said they only did 2 coats when they should have done 3. It was hard to tell the difference and it's hard for a home owner to know if it's been done properly. After I heard from multiple contractors that we had a problem with the finish on the floor, I called Sousa because I had heard good things about him. He came and confirmed there was an error with the finish. His prices were cheaper than others I got. He corrected the floor. There was one room with a small issue, but he came back and fixed it. I thought he was so honorable and actually went to him for referrals to other contractors.

I met with a few guys and Steve was just a great guy and seemed very honest. He ripped up the carpets and refinished the floors in two rooms for a great price. Our floors were unbelievably stunning, I can't praise this man enough! I recommended him to my Aunt and she was just as happy with her floors as we were with ours. He took 3 days to complete the job and didn't charge a penny more than his estimate. Great experience - - - if only they were all like Steve. (Bonus, in his free time he's a Minister for a Church in Granby. That's gotta count towards some honesty points, no?!)
