Got a quick call back and an appointment setup for Monday 8/10 at 10:30am. Took the morning off of work to wait for contractor. The contractor didn't show up/didn't call and around 11:30a I called and left a message to verify that the appointment was scheduled for Monday. Around 11:50am,I saw their truck pull up from the upstairs window by the time I got downstairs to open the front door (with 60 seconds), I get to see them pull away without getting out of the truck or calling. I haven't heard a word from them since.

They were very good. The came right out, were friendly and informative. They told us things we didn't need to do, they were honest. They gave a good price, we just aren't doing the work at this time.

W never knew when and if he would show up, as it turns out he did not finish the roof or the siding.

They did excellent work, showed up on time, and stayed on the job until it was done. They did a good job cleaning up after them selves. I will use them again.

They actually just left my house from doing the estimate. The man that came out was very pleasant and I haven't quite seen the prices yet though. They came out and responded very quickly and my interaction with them so far has been good.

They were referred to me by a friend. There was something about the salesman that was very professional. He was low pressure and he was even willing to drive me around and show me different kinds of windows. They did a great job on all of the work and I was also happy with their clean up.

McKennas crew completed the installation of our bay window in two days, as projected. The quality of their work left nothing to be desired, and the finished product has enlarged and brightened our living room, and added to the appearance of the house from the outside rear as well.

The work was performed with great professionalism and care and the finished product is beautiful, already providing us with great pleasure and added comfort. The friendly and cooperative small work crew contributed much to a generally positive home improvement experience.

We weren't (of course) happy that Frank told us the entire roof needed replacement. His estimate was on the lower end of the few we received. Frank is very courteous to deal with. He also took the time to speak with the our Home Warranty Company. The roof looks great and no longer leaks (of course). The only knock I have with the job is that yard was destroyed in the back (nothing they could do) and the clean up left a bit to be desired. I didn't find any nails, but there were plenty of small shingles pieces left in the yard.

When Frank saw the condition of the steps, he scheduled the rebuild as soon as the weather permitted the work to be done. The craftsmen were punctual, and they kept the work site clean. They also put up a tarp to seal in the heat, and they kept it tightly sealed. They were very friendly and kind to our children, and they built a beautiful, sturdy new set of steps. The door is also wonderful, too, although the trim work is a bit simple. They also had our locks re-keyed to match our old keys. Overall, we really love the work that was done!

They arrived early in the morning and unexpectedly as it was still quite icy outside. However, when they heard that mildew was growing in the attic, they came out right away. They worked quickly, and they even made sure all of their specific plans were copacetic with us. We also had to run out on an errand while they were working, and they were so efficient, they finished the job and cleaned up before we returned. They were kind and polite, and the kids felt absolutely comfortable around them. When they heard we were having problems with the wind turbine (it squeaked a lot and we thought the shaft was broken), they came out right away to take a look at it. Even though it just needed axle grease, they replaced it with a new one which was well greased. They finished in a matter of minutes. We were very happy!

We were very happy with the work done. The crew were friendly and professional. They did a fantastic job cleaning up at the end of the job. Frank came by often to check how things were going and make sure we were happy. They redid a couple of things that we weren't happy with at first. They were very accommodating to our different requests and requirements throughout the job, and said that if we changed our mind about some things after they were finished they would come back and redo it for us. Frank spent a lot of time explaining our options and helping us choose exactly what we wanted. We have had McKenna's do other work for us in the past and would absolutely use them again. We have recommended them to quite a few of our friends who needed home improvements. They seem to be slightly more expensive than other companies, but it's definitely worth it for the service and quality of their work.

Great job. We got quotes from 2 other roofers, and McKenna was the lowest by about $700 or $800. A key point was Frank McKenna gave us the option between two types of shingles, one fancy, one simple, and we chose the simple one, saving beaucoup dollars. It took about a month or so from the time we contracted them until the work was done, not bad for an extremely busy season. The crew was pleasant and courteous. They cleaned up nicely afterwards. We are very happy with the outcome, and would unreservedly recommend them to anyone.

SOMEONE ANSWERED THE PHONE WHEN I CALLED, AND TOLD ME IMMEDIATELY THAT MY REPAIR JOB WAS TOO SMALL FOR THEM TO BE INTERESTED. FALL IS THEIR BUSIEST TIME OF YEAR, AND THEY'RE ONLY DOING FULL ROOF REPLACEMENTS. WELL, I NEED TO GET MY ROOF FIXED BEFORE THEN, BUT I APPRECIATED THEIR BEING STRAIGHT WITH ME UP FRONT. MOST OTHERS HAVE YOU LEAVE A MESSAGE, AND THEN NEVER BOTHER CALLING BACK. SINCE I NEVER GOT TO SIZE THEM UP FOR THIS JOB, I CAN'T SAY WHETHER I WOULD ACTUALLY HIRE THEM TO DO WORK. BUT THEY DEFINITELY GET A FEW BONUS POINTS FOR NOT WASTING MY TIME. I WOULD ABSOLUTELY HAVE THEM BID ON FUTURE ROOFING WORK FOR ME.

THE CREW SHOWED UP WHEN PROMISED. THE JOB WAS COMPLETED IN LESS THAN 2 DAYS. ALL DEBRIS WAS REMOVED AND THE JOBSITE WAS LEFT SPOTLESS. I WOULD GLADLY RECOMMEND THESE FOLKS TO FRIENDS AND FAMILY.

THE "A"S SAY IT ALL. EACH JOB/PROJECT WENT SMOOTHLY. THE VERY FEW THINGS THAT NEEDED TO BE ADDRESSED WERE HANDLED VERY SUCCESSFULLY. NO HASSLES TO MENTION.

WE'RE VERY HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS. AS WE WERE REPLACING OUR LEAKY ROOF AT THE SAME TIME AS WE WERE HAVING THE CHIMNEY DONE, THEY DECIDED TO SQUEEZE US IN AT THE LAST MINUTE TO PREVENT FURTHER DAMAGE TO OUR HOUSE FROM THE LEAKY ROOF. THE MASON WAS PROMPT, COURTEOUS, CLEAN, AND FAST. WE COULDN'T BE MORE PLEASED! THE PRICE WAS ALSO REASONABLE.

JOB 1: OUR EXPERIENCE WAS WONDERFUL. THE RESPONSE TIME WAS WONDERFUL. THEY REPLACED THE ROOF WITHIN A WEEK OF SIGNING THE CONTRACT AND THEY ONLY TOOK A DAY PLUS TWO HOURS TO COMPLETE THE JOB. THEY CAREFULLY CLEANED UP EVERY DAY AND WHEN WE NOTICED ONE OF THE GUTTERS LEAKED, THEY FIXED THE PROBLEM IMMEDIATELY. WE'RE PLEASED WITH THE OUTCOME. JOB 2: DESPITE HAVING A BUSY SCHEDULE, THEY MANAGED TO SQUEEZE US IN FOR EMERGENCY REPAIRS SINCE WE HAD A LEAKY ROOF. NOT ONLY DID THEY MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO REPLACE OUR ROOF IN A TIMELY MANNER, BUT THEY ALSO MADE SURE THEY REPLACED THE LEAKY PORTION OF THE ROOF BEFORE IT STARTED TO RAIN AND THEY RETURNED TO FINISH THE REST OF THE ROOF AS SOON AS THE WEATHER WAS MORE COOPERATIVE. (THEY EVEN CALLED WITH WEATHER UPDATES TO LET US KNOW WHEN THEY'D BE ABLE TO RESUME WORKING.) ALSO, THEY TRIED TO MINIMIZE THE DISTURBANCE TO OUR NEIGHBORS. OVERALL, THEY WERE VERY CLEAN, COURTEOUS, REASONABLY PRICED AND EFFICIENT. WE'RE VERY IMPRESSED!

FRANK MC KENNA WAS EXTREMELY GOOD TO WORK WITH. VERY PERSONABLE, HONEST, AND CONCISE. SPENT QUITE A BIT OF TIME WITH HIM, FIGURING WHICH WINDOW BRAND TO USE, HE EVEN GAVE US A LOAN OF A PRODUCT SAMPLE TO TEST FOR A MATCH TO OUR TRIMWORK. FIRST BABY WAS DUE AT THE SAME TIME AS THE JOB. I THINK HE PUT TWO TEAMS ON THE JOB IN ORDER TO GET IT DONE IN 2 DAYS, AND THE DAY BEFORE NEW BABY & MOTHER ARRIVED HOME. CANNOT BEAT THAT RESPONSIVENESS! CAME BACK TO REPLACE BROKEN WINDOWS (BETTER TO HAVE SOMETHING IN THE HOLE THAN NOTHING!). CALLED BACK TO REDO SOME SLOPPY CAULKING - DONE IMMEDIATELY.

HE WAS HONEST AND TRIED TO HELP US GET TO THE ROOT OF THE PROBLEM, RATHER THAN FIXING A ROOF THAT DOES NOT LEAK.

HE WAS ABLE TO DO THE WORK WITH SHORT NOTICE. THE WINDOWS CAME IN AND THEY WERE THE WRONG SIZE, HE HAD TO GO TO THE WAREHOUSE IN ORDER TO GET THEM QUICKLY. THE NEW OWNER OF THE CONDO THAT I WAS SELLING WAS VERY PICKY AND HE HAD TO GO BACK 2 OR 3 TIMES TO MAKE CHANGES. HE WAS VERY ACCOMMODATING. HE DID A GREAT JOB.

NEVER RETURNED MY CALLS. I WENT WITH SOMEONE ELSE.

GENERALLY SPEAKING, THE WORK WAS DONE ADEQUATELY. THE PRICING WAS COMPETITIVE. ON BOTH OCCASIONS, THE WORK CREW WAS PROFESSIONAL, POLITE AND PROMPT. THEIR CLEANLINESS COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER. I AM STILL PICKING UP LOOSE SCREWS, NAILS AND METAL FRAGMENTS FROM THE 2003 VISIT. THE 2004 VISIT HAS NOT BEEN COMPLETED YET. THEIR ARE TWO ITEMS REMAINING ON THE PUNCH LIST THAT HOPEFULLY WILL BE COMPLETED BY THE END OF 2004. FRANK MCKENNA IS VERY HARD TO REACH AND DOES NOT RETURN CALLS PROMPTLY. IF YOU DO NOT MIND WAITING SEVERAL WEEKS FOR A RETURN PHONE CALL THEN MCKENNA BROTHERS IS WORTH USING.

THE MEN WERE VERY GOOD WORKERS AND DID A GREAT JOB. I WOULD HAVE PREFERRED THE BOSS TO BE PRESENT DURING THE WHOLE OPERATION, WHICH HE SAID HE WOULD BE, BUT BUT I UNDERSTAND. IT WOULD BE VERY HARD FOR HIM TO BE THERE WHEN HE HAS TO OVERSEE OTHER JOBS GOING ON AT THE SAME TIME. I THOUGHT HE WAS REASONABLY PRICED. THE MEN SHOWED UP ON TIME, EVERY TIME AND TOOK A SURPRISINGLY SHORT TIME TO HAVE THEIR LUNCH, ETC. YES, I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE WHO ASKED ME. I AM VERY HAPPY AND SATISFIED WITH THEIR WORK.
