It always goes great!

It involves very little disruption in your household, so it was really good. They handled what could have been a very distressing situation for me in a very calm, matter of fact way. Part of it was their representatives were very good and their process was very thorough.

Jason was fantastic. He returned my call right away. Came on time. Was super pleasant. He checked out my basement where I thought we had a mold or mildew problem. But he explained that it was neither of those things just some naturally occurring staining on the concrete from minerals in the soil. He looked all around, suggested I move the downspouts a little bit further from the house as water was probably pooling a bit outside causing the inside staining. He even brought a treat for my dog. There was no charge for the visit. I would use them again in a heartbeat! So nice to encounter such honest and pleasant professionals!

Jason came out to determine if we had mold in our attic based on some black marks we were seeing on our plywood, a contractor doing some work mentioned that it may be mold and that we should have it checked. We had another mold inspection company come out, confirm on visual inspection it was mold, comment they did not need to do an air test as there was no question, took some samples of the mold itself and our air ducts and said they would be in touch the next day with results. In the meantime, they sent their remediation person to give us a proposal for remediating it. We then never heard from them with the results and also had wanted to get another opinion and proposal to compare cost of proposals. This other company also charged us $ upon inspection and did not deliver the results. Therefore, we called up indoor environment (we were also looking for a "greener" option). Jason came out the next day to take a look at our mold to provide a remediation proposal. He stated the inspection for remediation is no charge unless he does air quality tests and then clearly explained what the charge would be for a single test and the control test. He arrived on time and took a look in our attic and said that we did not have a mold problem that it was just water staining. He was very confident about this and confirmed that we did not have a mold problem. He was very detailed in his explanations and did not rush out given that he no longer had a "job" to remediate. He spent a good deal of time with us answering all of our questions. If you need somebody you can trust, please call Indoor Environmental, we feel that they are in the business for the right reasons and very trustworthy. It was refreshing after what we had been though to feel that there are folks out there you can rely on during a vulnerable and stressful time.

Jason had come out to do the inspection and then again with another gentleman to do the remediation. Jason was able to schedule the appointment within days for the remediation. They estimated 2.5 hours and they were done just before that time frame. They were quick, efficient, cleaned up after themselves and very friendly. attic looks great! I would use them again!

I called Indoor Environmental based on a recommendation from my realtor. Jason came the very next day and did an inspection of my attic and conduct an air quality test. Jason was very professional and very honest. I was very happy with the service I received. The pricing was very good. Indoor Environmental was a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend them as a company that does great work and can be trusted to give you honest advice, work, and pricing.

We were referred to Jon Mitton and his company, Indoor Environmental by our real estate agent following the results from the home inspection by the buyers of our house. No one wants to hear that they have mold and when you are in the middle of the selling/buying process, this is just another stressor added to the list. Stressful would never be the word I would use to describe the process of our mold remediation or in working with Jon. Quite the opposite! It doesn't seem possible to say this but... We had a great mold experience. There can be such a thing - if you hire Indoor Environmental. Needless to say moving is stressful and overwhelming and my husband had a recent injury that limited his mobility. The last thing I wanted to deal with was mold and whatever the process might entail. Jon appreciated our situation more than we thought possible. He made sure there wouldn't be anything to fret over. And he delivered! He has a very calm and easy going nature and very professional. He truly understood where we would stood as the sellers but also where the buyers stood. He was extremely professional and thorough. He did everything he said he would and when he would. These things seem simple but in today's world, it's becoming more difficult to find. In the entire process of selling our house, the mold remediation was the best and easiest thing we encountered. Jon came out on a weekend to do a visual inspection of the areas in question. We had a report within 1-2 days noting his findings and a remediation outline. Soon after, he scheduled the remediation work. His team was a reflection of Jon and his work ethic. They were professional, efficient and thorough. Jon always explained the process and what to expect. A week later, he returned for post treatment - taking air sample to send out to be analyzed by an independent (and certified) lab. Following that, we had a full report from Jon and the lab results. All the documents necessary for the buyers. Done and done! As a real estate broker, there are occasions when the buyer or home inspector request that the property should be checked for mold. I've called John on more than one occasion, and he has answered promptly, provided a date to inspect very quickly and has consistently acted in a professional manner. He has always put people at ease, explained what he was seeing and answered any questions that were presented to him. John has never charged for any appointments if service was not needed. So far, any house that he has inspected for me has not had mold, and he has not charged anyone for the visits. Honest, courteous, trustworthy, knowledgeable, and prompt. Who could possibly ask for anything more! I look forward to working with John, when needed, for many years to come.

Jon provides a full scope of work necessary , time frame and discusses any other work necessary to avoid having mold return. Pricing is affordable, but service and integrity are top notch ! I have even had situations where Indoor Environmental has come in as a second opinion and advised that remediation was not necessary. After a minor hiccup of communication, appointment was made at a time convenient to me, Home was inspected top to bottom. Technician was polite, knowledgeable and professional. The company did not employ scare-mongering. I was informed that the house was completely clear of problematic mold and an air sample was taken just in case.

Great Testing indicated I do have mold in need of professional remediation. ( I have been unusually sick all winter so I decided to see if we had mold which may be causing my illness.) I am hiring them to come back and get rid of the mold for me. We are now in proposal phase which I will be comparing to another proposal.

I had mold in my attic removed six years ago when we bought our house, but it had since returned and we were concerned. Jon was professional and thorough, from inspection through final testing. He explained the process, their pricing and was able to schedule the remediation less than two weeks later. His crew chief, Tony, was extremely professional and nice, and his crew were neat, efficient and pleasant. The fact that the process includes a final post-test speaks volumes about the integrity of this company. The service is worth it -- I feel confident that my mold problem will not return. Would recommend them to anyone needing mold remediation.

Long standing mold due to a burst pipe left mold in our downstairs laundry area. Jon was prompt and professional in his inspection, explaining the different options and educating us on mold. Tests indicated mold was present, and the scheduled remediation was prompt. Jon also contacted my homeowners insurance to indicate the mold was from an old pipe bursting and not an insignificant leak due to a crack in our foundation.

Jon Mitten was asked to give an estimate for the remediation of the house. His estimate was very thorough including photographs of the areas he was talking about in the report. When I called him to agree to the plan he was very professional on the phone & was able to work on the house the following week. He kept me informed about the whole process via email with comprehensive reports & included before & after pictures. The emails included the results from the testing & what the plans were to remedy the areas he wasn't satisfied with. When he received the final results he sent a certificate of completion, lab results, a guide to understanding the lab results & a description of the work and how is was done. I would use him again in a heartbeat.

Jon is both personable and ethical. I recently met his new assistant and liked him as well. Jon gave us a very fair estimate, and, since he knew we were tight on money, he told us how to remediate small areas of mold in the living spaces of the house ourselves. The attic, however, had mold everywhere, and it needed to be professionally remediated. To remediate mold, Indoor Environmental uses a product comprised of plant enzymes that permanently removes mold in an environmentally safe way (and with a spray that isn't harmful to the residents and pets of the house). When bleach (very harmful to the environment) is used, in contrast, the mold can apparently come back after a period of time (but don't quote me on that, as my memory isn't perfect). What you may quote me is this: Jon will do right by you. Included in Indoor Environmental's cost is a post-test so that everyone can be sure that the mold is indeed gone. In many cases, Jon also does initial tests to assess whether or not mold is present. In our case, however, he recommended skipping that step to save money since the mold was very clear to the naked eye, even to my untrained eye. To sum up: I cannot recommend Indoor Environmental highly enough.

Jason responded to calls and texts quickly and worked around our schedule to come and see us the same day for a mold inspection on an old home we are in the process of buying. Jason was very knowledgeable and kind and walked us through the whole way, showing us mold we had walked right by without noticing, and reassured us that what we thought was mold in the attic was in fact old stains and not a concern. He didn't try to up-sell us at all, if he had said the whole attic was in danger and needed treatment, we probably would have believed him. Instead he gave us advice on how to reduce humidity in the attic and basement on our own, and pointed out an issue of a vent exhausting into the attic. Jason was able to give us a report and estimate the same night, which was many, many of thousands dollars less than I had feared given the size of the basement. We look forward to having him come in for the remediation work as soon as we close. A+

We had mold that had been caused by a bathroom fan being vented in the attic. We needed to treat the attic mold ASAP due to a pending real-estate transaction. Indoor Environmental quickly came and assessed the situation, treated the mold, and confirmed the mold was treated (air test) with very fast turn-around. Not only did they do a beautiful job cleaning the attic, they were very reassuring, cooperative, and flexible. I can't recommend Indoor Environmental enough. They transformed a potential nightmare into a happy ending.
