Description of Work: Cleaned our ducts, returns, as well as our furnace. In addition they added a UV light purifier to our furnace and cleaned out they dryer vents.

Description of Work: The company did not perform what it was supposed to do. They basically told me that the vents were TOO CLEAN and only needed cleaning every 6 to 10 years! (never heard this one before). In principle that would be fine if they came to offer an estimate, not when they came to do a prepaid job. It was a waste of my time and theirs. Why offer such "deals" and risk getting such lousy reviews? I don't get it.

Description of Work: The air conditioning ducts were cleaned with antiseptic solution. The air exchange vent had a pipe reconnected. The condenser in the basement was cleaned and mold was removed. The filter was changed for the unit. The dryer vent was cleaned from both the outside and the dryer connection.

Description of Work: I contracted East Coast Vent Inc. for air duct cleaning. East Coast was promoting a big deal special on Angie's List. Ken and John from East Coast Vent Inc. inspected my ventilation system, took pictures to determine the work that needed to be done and cleared return/main vent opening of any minor debris. After checking my ventilation system, it was determined that my vents were clear and that I did not require air duct service cleaning, but they did recommend that my unit be sanitized at some point within the next six months or so because the pictures that they took of my system did show that spores (though minor) were starting to form that could cause mold. They showed me the pictures so that I could visualize what they were saying. Since they were already on location, I asked them to sanitize my unit that day.

Description of Work: I purchased this coupon from Angies list over 2 months ago and initially had issues with trying to get an appointment scheduled. HOWEVER, the issues that the company had with the person doing the booking have been resolved and I am happy to report that the work has been done. They were initially stuck in rush hour traffic but called promptly and let me know they would be a bit late which was expected and appreciated. They arrived, asessed the situation and explained what the coupon covered. They then explained the options to upgrade the cleaning which I initially declined. Instead of trying to push me to upgrade or rush through the base cleaning they were professional and set about working cheerfully and meticulously. They were aware and careful about my animals too which I appreciated. Having seen this I decided to go forward with the full blower cleaning which they had recommended. Of course this put them off schedule but they were happy to do it and took their time to do it right. I do cat rescue and there was a LOT of pet hair! I am a tough rater. I initially gave this company very low scores due to irresponsiveness of their scheduler. They asked for a second chance and I am delighted that I gave them the opportunity. It is with sincere pleasure that I now can rate them as "A" across the board. They WILL come. They WILL work hard and professionally. They WILL give you a very reasonable price and they WILL get my business again. Oh and when I asked if I should get this done every year they said no. A normal house it should be done every 6-8 years. A house like mine with many animals should be done every two to three. It would have been so easy to say "Oh yes once a year" to get the business but they didnt because they have integrity and Integrity is a rare commodity thats worth paying for and sticking with. If you give them the opportunity to earn your business you wont regret it. Good job guys and thank you!

Description of Work: I had purchased a coupon for vent cleaning and dryer vent cleaning as I could tell the vents in our house, relatively newly purchased with 18 months, were very dirty. Plus the dryer vent the home inspector told us to have cleaned so are working on that check list. I showed them the two gas furnaces and they said that they would give be a break on cleaning the vents for upstairs and downstairs since I had purchased a second Groupon from another company to do the upstairs system. they looked at my systems and gave me a great diagnosis. They were extremely dirty! They said that the furnace was in rough shape too but they would do whatever they could to clean it up. They were extremely knowledgeable and informative. They told me what was wrong without scaring me and roughly how to fix it. They did the two systems of vents in about 2.5 hours. They dryer vent they could not access because of the snow but said to call whenever there was a clear path to the Outside vent and that they would come back. The snow melted, I called and I could have had an appointment that afternoon but it didn't work with my schedule so I had one for early e next week. The owner of the company came. He was awesome. Told me what to do to change out the venting tube since I had one that was no long according to code. He told me exactly what to do. He didn't try to upsell me on having him do it. He actually told me what tool he used so that I could get one and do the dryer on my own ever year. Just outstanding!! They didn't try to upsell me on anything. They I explained to me what the situation was, what they were going to do, what I should do to maintain it and gave me a recommendation of a company to have them cleaned since we are kind of new to the area. I learned so much!! I feel very confident that all my vents are cleaned and safe.

Description of Work: They were supposed to come out do a general air duct cleaning including one main line, one return, and unlimited vents. What ended up happenging was he looked into my furnace and said he would not be able to work on it until I got the proper sized furnace filter. I asked him to go ahead and do just the cleaning but he said he could not do the cleaning but offered to provide me a quote for cleaning the furnace after I had the correct sized air filter. So I went to the hardware to purchase the size he recommended and got it home to learn it was too wide. While the ad I saw was for $49.00, his new quote now was for $556.00 which included additional services I did not want.

Description of Work: I got a duct cleaning from Google Offer. They came and looked at the furnace (need to climb up to the roof), and told me the duct was clean, and there's no need for cleaning. They suggested either I get a refund and give the coupon to someone else.
