The servicemen arrived on time and were very pleasant. We have a large home so the serviceman said it would be pointless cleaning just one air duct in and one out. He said to do the job properly would cost approx $1,000. We were not prepared to pay that for the service as we'd just purchased the home and had other repairs/costs which were more important. He was honest regarding his opinion and left without completing the cleaning.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It went great. I just made a mistake because I purchased the wrong deal. I only have a vent and I bought a deal for A/C cleaning. But they accepted that. The turn-around was quick. The only thing was that they broke a little cover for the outside vent, it was totally damaged after that and they had to replace the cover. I asked them if they’re going to do something else but they said no because I don’t an A/C. The service was fine. It took them a while to set up an appointment. They seem to be on time when they came out.

They were fine. They called in advance and showed up when they said they would. They were professional, and he explained everything he would do. He offered the additional service which I purchased.

Wonderful! They come to look at our ducts after the first company we had take a look (Quality Air) got thrown out of our house by my wife for being rude. They also showed her pictures of dirty vents with mold everywhere from the guys phone before even looking at our system.

All went well, but the price was way over what the coupon covered. My husband was pleased with what was done, but the increased price was more than a shock.

They came gave me a detailed estimate and came back to do job quickly and on a Saturday. Two people came to the house they were thorough and did excellent work.

Anthony Rose, the owner, and his colleague arrived before the time they had told us but had called to be sure that was OK. They walked through the house, a 1905 Victorian with apartment on the 3rd floor and then we went into the basement. Anthony took off the furnace panels, checked the filters-the wrong type, suggested by previous service company- and showed me photos of the blower wheel and the dirt on it. Since the proper filters were necessary to do the job properly, I said I would go to Home Depot to pick up what was required; as it was nearby they had no problem with waiting for me to return. Anthony also pointed out that our furnace has 4 returns (3 more than on the 'deal'); he worked up an additional price and showed it to me before proceeding, very professional. Since I was certain that the ducts had NEVER been cleaned since the house was built I was more than happy with the offer and told him to proceed; I was particularly pleased at the reasonable price for the mold remediation since I (and our tenant) have had sinus issues. They were very cooperative regarding access to our tenant's apartment and confirming that the mold treatment would not hurt her cats. Anthony pointed out the need to change the filter on the humidifier, a useful reminder since i generally do this about now. And the amount of lint taken out of the dryer vent was huge; so pleased to have that done. I have the highest regard for the folks at East Coast Vent that I dealt with and I would not hesitate to recommend them for these services.

It wasn't horrible but it wasn't a great service experience.

Really good experience. They were courteous and professional, did the job, and were able to deal with nonstandard aspects of my building. Would definitely use them in the future.

Less to do than I thought. Hardly justified time and expense. My vents, ducts and filters were in better shape than I thought so little needed to be done. Maybe my fault. I did feel though they were quick to say its ok as I already paid for coupon and they wanted to get to lunch

Bought the Big Deal for $99.00 duct clean and dryer vent cleaning. 2 young guys showed up in a car (no logo or company markings). I showed them where my furnace was (it's in a tight elevated crawl space in my 2nd bedroom) They asked if they could borrow my ladder "because they didn't feel like unpacking theirs" - since mine was readily available, I really didn't mind. I had just bought a townhouse and wanted the duct work cleaned because the previous owners had pets and didn't keep the place that clean. After inspecting the furnace / duct work I was informed that "there is no dust / dirt in my ducts" - "HOWEVER - I had some mold on the furnace" I was basically sold on a U/V light system that stays on all the time and will supposedly prevent mold from regrowing and purify the air as it passes the light. They took my big-deal coupon for the cleaning of the mold and did clean out my dryer vent (which was pretty bad), but the U/V system was an additional several hundred dollars that I really didn't want to spend, but was concerned with the "mold problem". It was a high pressure sales tactic and I actually regret spending the money after talking to several people and finding out that it's really not that great of a system and that I could have purchased and had it installed cheaper than what I paid. Overall an average experience.

I have two different zones because my house is two story. The ducts go to each floor. He said I have 18 returns and so many more mains so I ended up paying an extra $300 dollars plus to have all of the air ducts cleaned. The service was fine in general I was just unhappy that they did not include this information in the deal they offered.

Anthony and John did a great job cleaning my 3 bathrooms with their commercial cleaning machine. The floors look super clean now, and Anthony even sealed the grout for no additional charge, thanks guys, I appreciate it.

They were very professional, spent a lot of time and I think they did a very good job. They also fitted in a custom piece of metal so I could fit a standard filter on the furnace. We ended up paying an extra $400 dollars as the size of the job (whole house having not been cleaned for 50 + years) exceeded the scope of the Big Deal.

They came in and out and I have no complain. They did say when I came that they have to begin with, so, maybe I did it early to have it done. So, they have do it again for another 10 years. They have 2 instead of 1 for the pay for an extra return and I offer the pay because I wanted them to do to prevent molds for coming here every 6 months. They are very nice, young, and went fine.

The guys were punctual and explained what was involved in the process. As it turned out, the vents didn't need cleaning! They were honest about this, and offered to treat the small amount of mold they did find at no extra cost. They made recommendations about installing an ultraviolet light to make it easy to treat any mold in the future.

The 2 guys were punctual (even a bit early) and professional. My housemate did not want them going into her room, so they did not clean that vent; but they looked at all the vents and checked out the furnace setup in the basement before they got started on the cleaning. They pointed out that I don't have a cold-air return vent(!) and showed me how the return intake in the basement is not attached to any ducting and is just sucking in the (yucky) basement air. After they cleaned the vents they gave me an estimate for the costs of installing a return air vent, as well as an estimate on installing a UV mold-killing device in my system.

I think they did an OK job but I was surprised it ended up costing me an additional $350 beyond the $49 I paid to Angie's List. I didn't know that it didn't cover everything and they didn't do a good job describing exactly what they were going to do, and what they actually did. I had to continue to ask them what they were doing and felt like I was badgering them.

The work went well. The guys were very professional and did good work. They did point out that the air handlers should have UV lights in them to help prevent the build up that was there so I purchased those lights from them and hand them do the install. Overall, the service took about an hour and half. The guys cleaned up well and we were pleased with the work.

I had to wait at least six weeks for the estimate. It took two months for the East Coast to do the work. I had a dicrepancy when then came out for the appontment. I spoke with the owner & he was extremely proactive and I rescheduled the appointment. The work was done to better than my satisfaction. It was worth the wait.

Initial call for information was answered in a friendly, helpful way. Available services were described without attempting to sell me something other than I was asking about. Scheduling of the service was easy and quick. Reminder calls were received both the day before the service and again as the technicians were in route providing an anticipated arrival time. The technicians examined both systems to be serviced and confirmed the cleaning package and cost selected at the time of booking. There was not attempt to up sell. In inspecting one of the units they identified 2 issues which were brought to my attention. They explained the issue and the cost to repair; there was no pressure to make the repair or exaggeration of the consequences of not making it. The benefits of the repair, the cost, and the convenience of having it done then (without another visit) convinced me to have it made. I am very pleased with the quality of the work done. The air duct cleaning was done quickly but thoroughly. The house had just been painted and hardwood finished; the technicians were courteous and careful. A very good experience. I'll use East Coast Vent again and have no concerns about recommending them.

Upon arrival, I was told the air duct could not be cleaned because it was a "spider" system. The guys said they would clean out the dryer vent but who knows if anything was ever done. NOT the big deal that I paid for!

I purchased a $99 Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it was fine. However, I thought the Big Deal was misrepresented because I ended up spending about $280 to really do the job. They told me the Big Deal only included one main line and one return duct and I wanted all the ducts cleaned. There also was an extra service to kill allergens and dust mites so, since I had not had it done in a long time, they did it. They did a thorough job, but I think I was overcharged. They came to do the job about one or two months after I purchased the deal. I feel like they misrepresented what the costs were on the Big Deal. I did not remember reading about the exclusions and stuff. They were friendly, professional and explained all the extra services.

East Coast Vent came out and did what they said they would and left. I was very happy with them. They only charged me the $79. They did do two returns. They did not charge me for the extra returns. They did the job in the time allotted. They came out on time. Everything was fine.

Do not use this company. They offer coupons for ventilation cleaning that only covers "20% of what needs to be done to clean your ventilation system" according to the man who did our work. Too bad they don't disclose this before you buy the coupon.
