East Coast Duct cleaning were on time and did an impressive job of cleaning the system. Visibly so...and also added the UV light we need to make our humidification system usable. The owner is actually one of the guys who does the work and he's a very knowledgeable young guy obviously working hard to be successful. I would recommend them.

They performed required services in a professional manner. They did find other related expensive issues that should be dealt with. Their professional approach led me to follow their recommendations.

Read the fine print. The Angie's List deal gets them in the door, but of course, you will need to pay more to have all the ducts cleaned out. Not an easy job either; I consider myself pretty handy, but this is one of those jobs you would never want to do yourself.

They came and looked at the vents and recommended two packages for clean up which were both quite a large amount beyond the deal offered. I decided not to go with them and they said we could ask for our money back. I would like to request for the refund since the work was not done.

I took the deal through Angie's List and the form I filled asked for the day I wanted the service. I a couple of days before the appointment was suppose to happen I contacted the company through Angie's web site and also I called to the company as I did not hear from them, to confirm the time they were coming. They lady who took the phone (the manager) told me that I did not have any appointment and she said that after buy the deal on Angie's list I was suppose to call them to make the appointment. It did not made sence for me but pass and make an appointment with her (3 weeks after the original day as they did not have any other time available). Three days before the appointment and called to confirm and this time everything was as plan. their employee who answer the phone confirmed they will be at my address between 10am and 12pm. The day of the appointment I got a call around 11am from the technician who told me he was on his way and he will be at the end of the time frame they set. After two hours of the call they finally arrive to the house at 1pm (an hour late). Very polite two gentleman, they review the house and show us some problems we had around the furnace and inside as consequence of miss understanding with the installer (We install this new system three years ago). they sujest to clean that and made an estimate for how much they can do it, ($400.00). additional what I had paid ($80.00). we did agree to do the deep cleaning of the furnace. They clean for the inside the furnace and we are happy with that, and they also work with the dryer vent and it was good. what I did not understand is, when you buy the deal, there is a picture with a before and after a vent clean. what they did with the vent was they use a vacum cleaner from outside to the grill ( no even remove the grill to see if it was dirty inside). At the end, if you are looking to get a deep clean of your furnace inside, I recomend them but if you are thinking to buy the deal, I better recommend that at the time you are vacuuming your house, put the Vac cleaner to the ac/heat grill and you save yourself $80.00

It turned out very well. They did inspection on my furnace and they made appropriate recommendations for what needed to be cleaned. They went to h - intake and output vent and they used a sterilizing chemical on it. They basically left me in a better shape than it was. I was only in the house for 3 years but apparently the 12 years since its construction, it has never been cleaned.

We purchased an Angie's List deal for air duct and dryer vent cleaning. We had it done when we purchased our house ~3 years ago and thought we should do it again because we have a dog and also I have a lot of allergies. The guys showed up on time and were very friendly. They spent a short time in the basement before informing me that my air ducts and filter were very clean and I really only needed to have them cleaned every 10 yrs or so. They did clean the dryer vent before they left. So, our fault for thinking our air ducts needed it but the guys were great and maybe in 10 years, we'll have them back.

Anthony was very professional. He clearly explained the work that was needed which went beyond the standard vent/main/return maintenance. Because the basement system was improperly filtered, the blower motor was filthy (I confirmed this by eye). In contrast, the attic system did not require cleaning at all since the filters there were well-maintained. In other words, Anthony did not push services that were not needed. I thought the package cleaning deal was a good value given the amount of time that he and his associate spent cleaning the one system. Anthony is a perfectionist, running the system afterwards and going back and cleaning vents that still blew out debris and offered to return if I was not satisfied. My only minor issue with the work was that they hurried through the counting of the vents and either missed one entirely or did not take proper account of it during the walkthrough.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was fine. I was satisfied with the job they completed. It only took 15 minutes to clean the vent so it was fast. I didn't shop around so I don't know if $79 was overpriced or not. It was the first time I've had that service done. I don't know if it was the best deal for just dryer vent cleaning. I would use them again if the value was there. An update, I had another dryer vent company come out to the house to tell me that ALL of our ventilation tubing was not us to code, and a huge fire risk. I am very disappointed that East Coast Vent did not notify me of this at the time of their cleaning. Our vent cover was also not appropriate, and created a backup of lint (7months after they cleaned) that resulted in our dryer overheating and the heating coil breaking. If this is a company that specializes in dry vents, I would expect that all of this would have been brought to my attention.

I called the company the day after I purchased the deal. It took them 5 days to call me back. They couldn't fit me in until the middle of December. I am shocked that you gave this company good reviews. This is not at all good service. I am sure that many people who purchased this deal will do what I did and end up using another company. I am also certain that many of them will not request a refund, like I did and they will be out the $88. I am happy that you refunded me the money so I will continue to use you but I am not sure how trusting I will be going forward of your review credibility.

The Cleaning went well, the workers arrived when they said they would. The Break down of charges was as follows $79 for big deal - cleaned unlimited # of supply ducts, 1 return, and dryer vent While the furnace has only 1 return each room has a return vent so these were priced @ $15each above the first one The downstairs furnace was cleaned for $120 which seemed reasonable Overall they did a good job and the big deal was well worth it I would use them again, but I would probably wait for another big deal type of offer.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that we purchased. We added some other features when they got here. They did a good job. There was the usual trying to upsell but they were pleasant to work with. We said we didn't need ultraviolet lights in our vents but we did add some additions. We would definitely go back to them. They seemed to have the right equipment. The price was very good.

They were punctual and polite. They looked over the heating system and were very clear about pointing out what extra work would need to be done to keep it clean and operating at best efficiency. It was left up to me to decide what would be best for my budget and needs. They were very clear about what would be included on the Angie's list deal and what would be extra. At the end, they showed me what they had done and let me know how long it should be before I needed to do anything on the system again.

I purchased a big deal from Angie's List and their services turned out perfect. I had no problems with them. They came in, did their job, cleaned up and that was it. I had no problems with them whatsoever. I would give them an "A" for everything.

Tony and his crew were very professional, clean and prompt. He inspected everything, and then walked me through all the issues. Thankfully there were very few. He made recommendations, and even let me know what he would do, and what was really a waste of money. We are looking to sell our home soon, so he made sure that everything would pass through a home inspection as far as filtering and mold. He doesn't repair systems, but he is very knowledgeable about the systems, how they run, and what needs attention.

The heating system seems to be blowing out fresher (and hence healthier) air now... and after 44 years of collecting lint, the dryer vent was really dirty... and thus was a definite fire hazard that needed this service. I think the endeavor was worth the cost. The crew was knowledgealbe and friendly, although they were about an hour late on arrival (after having to reschedule the job once about a month earlier because of delays travelling up from the south shore).

Looked like a good price for vent cleaning, but everything was an upsell. If we had them do everything they suggested the price was about $600. Had them do the basics since it looked like the vents had never been cleaned, but that was it. Also, not as thorough as other companies I've used in the past.

Company was very Professional and punctual. Explained every step they were doing and why. Would recommend them.

They were fine but they told me that my system was more complicated than most, so it was going to be a lot more money than the $88

PRIOR TO WORK: They were easy to reach and originally scheduled us with us for within a week of the first phone call. Due to a miscommunication of what day they were coming out, we needed to re-schedule - again they were able to give us a time within the week. Unfortunately tight scheduling on our (the homeowner's) part meant we weren't able to be flexible when it turned out they were running later than expected for second appointment (they were good to call ahead and let us know of the delay in their expected arrival time), so we had to cancel again. WORK COMPLETED: scheduled to start between 10-12, we hadn't heard from them by 11:45 and called. We were treated curtly on the phone (told "sometimes the previous job takes longer than expected, that's just the way it goes") and then received a follow up call just before noon, saying that they were finishing a previous job and would come to us soon. Arrival time around 1. When owner and another worker came, they gave us a point by point review of our furnace and status of our current vent system and strongly encouraged to sign up for additional work (at additional cost) and told us that they wouldn't recommend just doing the originally stated work (as advertised and sold through the Angie's List coupon) since that would only be doing half the job. We thanked them for the assessment (they unfortunately did not provide us with anything in writing about the additional work they were recommending, that would have been helpful), and then asked them to complete the original scope of work - cleaning the vents. They did so quickly and courteously, but again warned that doing only the vent cleaning without cleaning out the blower etc. in the furnace might not result in a noticeable difference. As we weren't experiencing any significant issues prior to the work - and it's the first time we've done this kind of work - it's difficult to gauge the end result of their efforts (though it certainly seems no worse).

good price, potential provider called promptly but next available service date was 4-6 weeks down the road. I needed something much sooner than that so the service was cancelled.

They were quick and good. We had surprise add-on cost for 2 main lines, which we hadn't realized earlier as the Big Deal was only for 1 Main line. But they were very understanding and offered a good deal so we could get everything cleaned out.
