Love it!

John is very professional. Extremely punctual and always kept us informed as the project progressed. The people that he works with - plumber, electrician etc were all top notch sub contractors. We are very happy with the results.

Great experience all around. John is dedicated to his work and is extremely professional. No issues at all. Very happy with the 3 new doors. Would definitely recommend and would use again in the future. His price was competitive with other quotes we received.

i had to book him nearly 2 mos. ahead of the work date but it was worth the wait. he showed up early, stayed late, called if he would be delayed and was extremely professional, trustworthy and easy to work with. he was neat and cleaned up as he went along. i have other projects that i hope to get done and am planning to use him for these as well.

Great! Everything looks terrific...the portico looks really fantastic... especially because it was in such bad shape before. John pays very close attention to detail... all nails are set evenly.... everything is always perfectly level. After the project was finished...but before the painting project had started...I did find one more small piece of trim that we missed on the side of one window... it had been hidden by a giant bush. John stopped by that afternoon and fixed it. He wouldn't even charge us :) We will definitely be asking for his help for future projects!

Highest estimate for the least amount of work. Would have had to wait over a month for installation. Not as responsive to my questions/concerns as the other firms from which I received estimates. Was 45 minutes late for appointment for estimate.

John worked every day, all day until the job was completed. John is meticulous and hard working. Always cleaned up after himself and made sure his work was done correctly. I had seen work completed by John at a friends house and we both agreed you can't find many workers so dedicated to their work ethic. I would happy to provide an excellent reference and hire John again.

John arrived bright and early. He worked diligently until the job was completed. This is the second time we have hired him. The first was last month when he installed a storm door for us. My husband is very fusy and he can't say enough about John's work - he is excellent and his prices are very reasonable.

John Suomala was very detailed oriented, efficient and very neat. His price included cost of cabinets, granite and sink. There was only one add on expense which was the cost of new wiring to my oven and microwave because existing wiring did not meet code. John listened to my recommendations and we always reached consensus on how to proceeed. Appliances were purchased by me. He arranged and coordinated all subcontractors during a very busy time of the year for tradespeople on Cape Cod with only a few delays. Everyone showed up on time and were very professional and neat in the performance of their duties.

I cant say enough about John and his crew. John is professional, punctual and true to his word. His work is impeccable and high quality. His prices are very reasonable for the quality of work that he provides. He puts everything in writing and makes changes and informs you of changes accordingly. No last minute surprises. John remodeled an entry area and family room in my basement. He also installed a bookcase/electronics storage in my main living room, a bathroom remodel, and installed an outdoor shower. I was not at the job site when the majority of work was being done and when I arrived, I was speechless. It was fantastic. John is great to work with and has a greaet sense of humer too. I will definately use him again in the future!!

The hose came off the washing machine, but wasn't discovered for quite a while so water flooded the basement -way too much water for our own wet vac to handle. We called a plumbing company and they recommended EHS and they responded very quickly the day before Thanksgiving when we were getting ready to go on a cruise. They moved things to safety, pumped the water out of the basement, and set up a huge dehumidifier and several mega dryers to run for 24 hours and came back late Thanksgiving afternoon to retrieve their equipment and test the air quality which passed. They saved the day for us and turned our disaster around so we were able to take the planned trip later that evening.

He was very good. He had little problem with one of these guys and he straightened it out right away. It seemed like he is one of those types that if it wasn't done right, then it wasn't done. He was responsive and punctual.

They walked around and sent us a quote; we will make a decision whether we want to do it or not. I went on Angie's List and Engineered Home Solutions was one of the ones they recommended. They were very polite, very nice and well mannered. I was happy with them; it is just that I don’t know if I want to do it right at this moment. It was well done.

The prices were very fair given the high quality of workmanship. I was well informed of changes or other issues that were uncovered, no surprises. Although I didn't have exact dates, schedules were reviewed with some adjustments but were reasonable and acceptable. EHS remediated a number of sub standard conditions which we are glad that are corrected. John is organized and cares about the work he does. He comes with a notebook and writes everything down, and sometime even takes pictures to work out detail estimates. The job is costed out by component so that we knew what each part was estimated at and why. Changes are documented and reviewed so that there are no surprises on the bill. He makes recommendations on the right way to do things and explains fully. He sealed off the house to minimize the impact of the work. He and the crew cleaned up inside or outside each day. Examples of his attention to detail: copper caps over the front windows, the custom molding fabrication for the arched window - a perfect match, the fact that he identified the source of the leak from the basement and made sure that the door was set in to eliminate the leak with a new copper pan, flashing and stone sill and lastly crafting azek in the alcove to match the character of the house. We have been extremely satisfied with the work that has been done.

Everything went according to plan. John met us at the house in Jan of 2011 and we told him what we wanted. We were concerned about musty smell in basement. John suggested an air exchanger that has been great. He suggested a drop ceiling that would give us flexibility in future. When I mentioned some water leaks with heavy rain. John suggested a waterproofing spray for the concrete walls. He also saw a crack in the wall that he patched. He mentioned that it would take between 6 to 8 weeks and was finished in late Mar 2011. The basement is now the most used room in the house. We love going down there where we have a large television set up.

The job referred to here exceeded all expedtations. He renovated the major portion of the basement to be very livable. We were completly satisfied with his work and would welcome him using us as an example of his work. Other jobs that have been mentioned were also successful not only in the workmanship but also with his dealings on plans and communication of any changes to the plans. Quality of materials used was excellent. We certainly would recommend his work to anyone who appreciates excellent work.
