Dermot was great in helping us realize our goals for finishing out attic. He was professional, competitively priced, and did top-notch work. Would definitely work with him again on another project.

Dermot McElligott (Royal Contracting) worked in my Brookline, MA apartment, October, 2024, on 3 projects: 1) attach to walls 3 large solid wood bookcases 86”h x 32” w x 12” d, 2) hang 3 large, heavy, framed antique mirrors 3) hang 2 large, valuable framed prints. I have hundreds of books. Thanks to Dermott’s know-how, the bookcases, mirrors, & prints are now securely in place. Professionalism: Dermot has a solid work ethic. I could depend on his word: we agreed on a date for the work. Once on route Dermot texted me with his ETA. He arrived with all necessary tools, got straight to work, was pleasant, & efficient. I had assumed the job would take 5 or 6 hours. Dermot finished in only 3 hours. Fee: Dermot’s hourly fee was less than that of other contractors. But the quality of Dermot’s work is as good as if not better than his competition. Collaboration: We had to figure out the best placement for each object: higher? lower? more left? more right? Dermot offered suggestions, he listened to mine, and we readily came to the best solution. Through that exchange Dermot showed keen understanding not only of the nuts & bolts of contracting but also of decoration: scale, size, placement. I have had a great working relationship with Royal Contracting as we have worked together on my home, remodeling three bathrooms, the kitchen, and a big deck over the course of a few years. I found Dermot to be reliable, fair, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. He always backs up his work, and he has good design sense. We will do additional projects in the future. Hired Royal Contracting to do a front entry refresh, which included tearing down part of a portico and remodeling front steps. as well as replacing some interior doors. The work is beautiful. They did an incredible job, a great attention to detail, the crew took great care of our home, and Dermot was really responsive and gave really good insight into the project. Will definitely use them again in the future.

We hired Royal Contracting to do some major rehab to repair and insulate our aged garage that had broken plaster attached to metal studs in the ceiling, We needed custom sized doors reframed and installed as well as composite molding to replace decaying molding around the garage inside and out. The job required a construction company to work on a challenging old house and Dermots crew rose to the challenge. He coordinated with an electrician, plasterer and construction worker to seamlessly complete the job in a timely manner. I wouldn't hesitate to hire Royal Contracting again. MLP Dedham
