Description of Work: Eddie connected me to his plumber Bob Kemmer to fix the 4 outdoor water spigots at our new home. Bob came with his son and they knew exactly what the problem was. Everything was fixed within an hour and now working great. Glad to have a local plumber now for other future jobs. Would definitely recommend Eddie to find a contractor and R.G. Kemmer Plumbing out of Georgetown, MA.

Description of Work: Remodeled a bathroom including replacing floor, countertop, painting, fixtures.

Description of Work: I had purchased a new granite countertop for my bathroom. I had the granite company remove the old countertop, but the quality of their work was extremely poor. They pulled out the old countertop so hard and forceful that they tore off some tiles in the process. As a result, I did not have enough extra tiles to repair the damage. I searched every tile distributor on Eastern MA, as well as the internet, and I had no luck. I searched Angie's List for contractors and saw good reviews about Eddie Mac's. So, I called Eddie Mac's, and he came over to my house the following day. He too was shocked at what had been done and suggested that the remaining tiles be removed and have it re-plastered and painted. We weren't too pleased with that option, but we had no other choice. The entire job was completed in 7-10 days. We are very pleased with the work performed by Eddie Mac and his crew. They are very understanding and their cost is reasonable. I highly recommend them.

Description of Work: I just received an estimate for some work in the bathroom. It was, I thought, very high. I hired a painter, electrician and someone for the tile and saved quite a bit of money. He was responsive and punctual. I would consider him for future projects. He does need another phone. He recognized the problem was on his end.

Description of Work: Ed replaced a falling down ceiling in the bathroom.He returned my call right away and came to do the work when he said he would. Finished the job in a good time frame,cleaned up any mess when completed.Had to replace overhead ceiling light because of moisture that we had in the bathroom and Ed went out of his way to put up the new light. The wires that were there ( this is a very old home) were very short and it was a difficult and time consuming job to put up the new fixture.Ed handled the job without a complaint! The ceiling looks great as well as the new light fixture. It looks like I have a NEW bathroom! I would highly recommend Ed and his company for any of your home improvement needs.Give him a call you won't be disappointed.

Description of Work: I've worked with Eddie in the past, so when I needed my back steps repaired i emailed him. It would be a small job so I hoped he might be working in the area and be willing to tackle a little project for me. As always, Eddie responded right away. As luck would have it, he was in the area and dropped by the next day to take a look and give me a quote. A number of wood stair treds needed to be replaced and three hand rails. The wood deck was built 20 years ago and some of the wood was splitting. Eddie tested the overall structure (something i never thought of) and I was pleased it was sound. He quoted me $800 for the work which was reasonable; he explained that due to gas prices, insurance etc, he'd been forced to raise his rates. I understood and agreed. the work was done within days. It looks great. I'm always happy with Eddie's work: his work is excellent, communication is perfect, and projects are done quickly within budget. Thanks again, Ed!

Description of Work: Eddie returned my call promptly and came out the same day for an estimate. He spent time discussing the problem and how best to fix it. The problem I was having was rain seeping between the house and the gutters and I needed it tightened up. He could have tried to sell me new gutters, but said the ones I had were fine. He came when he said he would. He put caulking and new gutter screws. The old ones were like nails and did not hold. He also did a couple of other minor things at a reasonable price.

Description of Work: Ed did a complete remodeling of my kitchen by installing new cabinets, appliances, and marble floor tiles. He also turned a half bathroom into a full bathroom by installing a new shower and remodeled a den into a guest bedroom. He also installed prefinished hardwood floors throughout two floors of my townhouse. He acted as my general contractor and hired the plumber, the electrician, and the plasterer. He also did much of the work himself. His work is first rate. He also did some smaller odds and ends jobs throughout my house. I am very pleased with his service and will hire him again in the future to do more remodeling work. I recommend Ed wholeheartedly. - Rick Li

Description of Work: Ed supervised while his assistant Brian installed a new toilet bowl.

Description of Work: Ed renovated our bathroom. He put in a new floor and tiled, added wainscoting and molding. We also worked with an electrician and plumber he recommended and the project went very well.

Description of Work: Ed completely gutted our 1960's bathroom. He put up new walls, insulation, a new window, crown molding and wainscoting. He tiled the floor and installed a new fan. Ed also installed a tub surround and glass doors. He hung a new medicine cabinet and towel racks etc. Ed made a custom built in with two cabinets and an open shelf and put in new shelves and a door on an existing linen closet. He painted the bathroom not once but twice do to a color change.

Description of Work: Ed and his assistance put down wood laminate flooring in our kitchen and finished off the door jams, base board, etc. In addition, he created a new doorway for our pantry and hung and painted a bi-fold door. Finally, he also hung and sealed a new storm/screen door at our front entrance.

Description of Work: There were two projects; one was to re-configure built-ins to accommodate a plasma TV and a home theater system; the other was to put in a handrail for basement stairs.

Description of Work: Ed completely remodeled my son's bathroom (tear out walls and vanity; install tile-floor and wall; repair wall; install vanity, towel holder, bathroom fan; create wooden sconces; work with plumber and electrician for completed job). He also performed odd carpentry and handyman work around the house.
