Fabulous - Eddie was prompt, courteous and very professional. He assessed the project and gave us his recommendations on how to proceed. His rate was very reasonable and he accommodated our timeline. No complaints - we would highly recommend him to friends and re-hire him in the future.

I had both some finished interior carpentry work , and rough exterior repair to rotted wooden chimney siding and wooden railing spindles. Ed did excellent thorough work on both projects. He was honest, puntual and reponsive and I would gladly use him again

Eddie is a honest contractor, he delivered all of his promises and did an excellent job. . I would recommend him to my family and friends and would love to work with him again.

We were very pleased with the work done by Eddie and recommend him highly. Eddie gutted and replaced one full bath (upstairs) and one half-bath (downstairs). The quality of the work is excellent. Eddie is responsive to texts and phone calls. His subcontractors were all courteous and professional. Someone came to the house every day (usually Eddie, with one of his subs). This kept the project moving and prevented it from dragging on too long. Eddie and his team left the house clean at the end of each day. His up-front prices were fair and reasonable. When we wanted to make a few changes, he let us know if there was a cost, and we could decide on a case-by-case whether to proceed with the change or not. (For example: We decided to pay extra for a herringbone pattern with floor tile, but we decided not to pay extra for a recessed shelf in the shower.) We are very pleased with the final results.

Ed and his workers were hard working and got the job done well.

I would not recommend this guy to even my worst enemy. He questioned every design aspect my husband and I chose and even went as far as making us lay out our tile because he didn't think our patterned tile would look good if there wasn't a border around it. He argued with me about putting white grout on the floor. And he got extremely defensive when my husband was asking why it we went so far over the timeframe it was supposed to be finished. Mind you, we are still waiting on our shower door. He demanded in a text message to me (see picture) we pay him the remainder of the payment or else he wouldn't fulfill his contractual obligations. He also told my husband he is going to take us to court and threatened to put a lien on our house when my husband said we would pay him the remainder once our bathroom is completed to the contract terms. The things that still needed to be completed per the contract when he threatened were the following: -Counter top installed and sink plumbed - Radiator hooked up -Mirror, towel bars and toilet paper holdler - Shower door; although he argues that the shower door is NOT part of the original contract, which is ludicrous The things that were not done per the contract AFTER he received final payment were: - Mirror, towel bars & toilet paper holder - Shower door (again, me arguing that the shower door is part of customer supplied items mentioned in the contract) We never refused to pay this guy, we always paid at the deadlines given per the contract. He just can't handle his customers, who pay a lot of money, asking him questions on why it's taking him so long. His tile work is sub par at best (see pictures). When I pointed that out to him his response was "Well, I waterproofed the shower." Again, another defense when his work was questioned. To add insult to injury, the subcontractors that did our plumbing are apparently not allowed to work on our other bathroom or accept any other job in our house. Be warned, this guy is a hot head with a temperament of a 3 year old.

WOW, Did we luck out finding Eddie! After being blown off by 3 contractors (family friends etc.) due to the job either being too difficult or too small, I was skeptical hiring someone off Angies list but I had no other choice and was literally in tears due to the other contractors. I am SO thankful I found Eddie - Within minutes of requesting services online, Eddie called me (on a Sunday!) and scheduled to come out to my home on Tuesday for estimate. I hired him and he started work the following Monday - The best decision I've made in my adult life. Eddie's price was excellent, very fair for all the work he did for me - he stayed on budget - no surprises at all and they showed up EVERY DAY at 8:30am - never late, never a no-show and completed the work for me ahead of schedule. You know you can tell when someone is being honest - this is Eddie. He is honest and is not out to get rich off you, He actually enjoys what he does - he had great ideas to overcome some obstacles in my home and always came through for us to ensure I was happy. You will LOVE his crew too - All of them, the workers, the electrician and the plumber - what great guys, so professional and they bend over backwards for Eddie. Eddie recommended a few floor places and granite places to us and when we called and told them "Eddie Mac referred us" we were treated like gold. He has an OUTSTANDING reputation in his field and treats his workers with great respect, which is why they work so hard for him and that says a lot of the type of person he is in my book. Eddie and his worker (who is awesome) are completing the finishing touches on my new kitchen tomorrow and I can say I am going to miss them - I want to hire them to do so many more things in my house now that I have a comfort level and know he is an honest contractor. Thank you Eddie, Ahtimio and Dave for everything - you truly made my dream kitchen a reality for a great price!! - and thank you Angies list for having such a reputable contractor on your site. I am BEYOND thrilled with Eddie Mac!!!!!

Eddie was very responsive and professional from the beginning. The quote he gave for the work was completely reasonable unlike others that we had received for the same job. He was able to start very quickly. We were very pleased with the work and love our new bathroom. I would definitely recommend and hire him again.

Eddie was very easy to work with and very professional. He was always on time, kept us informed through the process, and the work turned out very good. I would certainly hire Eddie again.

Accurate and fair assessment of work. Honestly evaluated that adjacent window was not damaged and did not need repair. Quite knowledgeable and easy to communicate with. Used quality materials. (I am and architect and able to make detailed assessments of work) Repaired missing or defective flashing. Feathered new siding into adjacent siding. Matched existing paint precisely. Cannot tell where repairs were made...

The initial meeting was great, Ed was clear as to what the work would entail. It took a while to actually schedule the job and we weren't clear how long it would actually take but once the job was scheduled, everything went very smoothly. He and his assistant were friendly and professional. The finished work looks great and they did a good job cleaning up after themselves. Ed made some good suggestions regarding paint and primer for the rest of our bathroom, particularly for this damp area.

They worked very well and did a good job. It was done very professionally. They were very good at troubleshooting and solved the problem I asked them to solve.

Very nice guy, upfront, punctual and had a worker with him. Would definitely use him again.

Service was quick, done perfectly, Eddie was clean and curteous and the price was very reasonable!

Edward just set the price for $9,000.00 without giving any breakdown. He said he has no time for that. I provided list of requested work. Quality of work was between OK and average. At the end Ed proposed some improvements without warning me about price increase and force me to pay for rent of equipment he did not have. This raised the price unexpectedly to $10,000.00. Most scary part of this experience was when Ed threaten me to extort from me final payment from me second time if I will try to force him to fix some small problems left. (By his request I paid cash and I did not ask him for receipt for the last portion of paiment and he send me email asking to make this payment again.) I did find some small problems on the way and made one mistake doing that which makes him angry. He makes a lot of complains on my character because of that. Finally he did not come back for the last fix and I did not insist on that being afraid that he will use my sloppiness and force me to pay twice for the same job.

We are very pleased with our new bathroom. Ed and his crews did excellent work. I won't hesitate to give them a call for the next project.

The service was just great. I would recommend his services.

Front door handleset jammed on Friday morning and we could not get out of house. Had to go out through basement. Worked on it for several hours and finally got open but latch failed completely. No way to keep door closed. Already had new handleset anticipating need to replace. After old hardware removed discovered there had been multiple replacements over the years and there wasn't enough door left to install a new handleset. Searched everywhere and found a replacement door in stock that "almost" fit our needs. After viewing several videos on how to replace a prehung door in an older home realized it was likely beyond our DIY abilities. Called several companies nobody was available. When I reached Ed he asked questions about the old and new door to make sure I was getting something that would work. Agreed to install that day or next. I had to go a ways to pick up the door and didn't have it on site until late afternoon. Ed came out early on Saturday. He doesn't work Saturdays as he has young children. We were in a jam and he went more than the extra mile for us. He and his assistant had to do a lot of creative problem solving to make the door work. Standard doors today are thinner and old door jambs are thicker. The threshold had to be rebuilt to accommodate as well. Six hours later we had a functional door that actually looked surprisingly good even without paint. It was very very cold and windy that day. There was no way to avoid being out in theweather to do the job. We watched much of the work (from inside) in actual awe as Ed faced one challenge after another with impressive cheerfulness. This turned out to be a very very complicated installation. We could not have done it ourselves in several days. We are so appreciative of both men's skill and work ethic and impressed by their problem solving skills..

Ed was here on time every morning and his responsiveness is outstanding. My kitchen looks brand new and the two baths look amazing. He pays very close attention to detail and repaired/painted things I hadn't noticed. He and his helper cleaned up very nicely after each day's work and were meticulous about replacing anything they moved. He took the screens down from my porch, stored them and painted the floor. It looks great and not a drop of black paint on the white railings. I would have no reservations about recommending Ed to friends and family.

The primary repair (building a new lamp post that had rotted) appears to have been done well. Only time will tell. I had also asked him to repair a section of a wood gutter. He did not make that repair because he said that a repair was not necessary. I got the feeling that post repair took more time and cost more that he orginally thought, so he did not want to spend time on the gutter repair. On the question above asking if I would use him again. I answered yes because "maybe" was not a choice. My real answer to that question is "maybe".

Provider was very personable, talked about the type of work his firm usually does, looked over our work to be done and said he would work up an estimate. We never received an estimate and guess that because the provider was already very busy - reportedly booked at least two months in advance - we probably would have needed to follow up with another request for the estimate (we did not follow up because of provider's lack of availability). It also may be that our location was too far away to warrant doing two small projects. I would consider using this provider for a larger or different type of project more suited to their profile - i.e.high end bathroom renovation with lots of advance notice. This provider being so highly in-demand probably speaks for itself!

I found this local handyman service through the List. They came the day after I called, at my convenience. They took care of the problem for a very reasonable fee, were pleasant and seemed well-informed about their work. I will definitely use them again.

Ed recently renovated the bathroom in my condo, in a house built in 1750. He pulled out all the old floor and wall tiles, installed new floor tiles, put up drywall and painted it, added shelves, and put in a new tub and toilet. He adhered to his estimated work time even though he discovered during the project that he had to built a support for the floor. The room looks great, and having Ed do the work was a pleasure. He was always on time and cheery. I highly recommend him.

Very smoothly. All contractors worked together well - we had a tight deadline. All work was professionally done to our satisfaction. Contractor kept in constant contact by email and cell phone about details as we went along. Ed was easy to get work with and has a stead, calm personality. We would recommend him to anyone.

They were very good. They did a great job for us. I would definitely use him again.
