Not so good. I paid $170 just for a camera just to show me what's inside but what I really wanted was to flush the thing out like what was stated. In the past that particular drain used to overflow. This time it wasn't clogged up but there was a problem connection to the main sewer. I was expecting him to check there but the cameras couldn't go in there to check if there was an obstruction so that he could clean it. The guy was very nice but in my opinion, he didn't do what I paid for. If a friend or family member was planning on using them, I'd recommend them. I just feel like what I wanted wasn't exactly what they were offering and I should've have looked into the deal before using it since they are a third party provider. They were late and I had to call them to confirm if they were coming. I also expected them to call me if they knew they were going to be late. I would definitely not use them again.

They did a great job. I had identified three things that I needed to have them do: replace the outdoor faucet, install the bathroom sink faucet assembly that I provided, and fix a leaking kitchen sink shutoff valve. They gave me a quote for all three jobs which included replacing the kitchen sink shutoff valves. However the technician said that he thought that the valve leak may be able to be fixed by tightening the packing nut. It took him several tries but it turned out he was correct; so that job didn't cost me anything. I had scheduled these jobs to be done during the same service call thinking that would be cheaper to have them all done at one time instead of with several service calls. However Cranney prices each job separately so it didn't save me anything to group the jobs into one service call. Overall I was pleased with the service provided.

It went very well. I was able to order a Big Deal for the cleaning w/ video scoping in the morning and they were there fours later same day. We had a main sewage backup that caused overflow anytime the toilet was flushed, shower ran, and whenever the dishwasher or faucets were on. Our tenants of a two-family duplex had placed paper towel in the toilet which got clogged in the U-Shape junk trap that leads to the street sewage. The previous day I had purchased a 50-foot snake to give it a whirl myself. I was unsuccessful. Cranney came by and knew exactly the issue and had the sucker unclogged within fifteen minutes. They also did not charge me for a new cap - which was nice. 10/10 would use their service again for drainage issues. The cost might seem high, but to have someone same day come and fix the problem with no further worry is certainly worth having a professional do it. We did not have the video scoping done, which really was not a selling point for us anyway.

I called this company for the first time and this is the poor customer service treatment that I got. I found this company listing on Angie's List and went to their website where a chat window opened an a rep asked if he could answer any questions. After a brief chat he suggested that he connect me by phone with a service rep. The chat was then transferred to a phone line where a service person was actually a customer service rep, same as the chat rep, and could not answer any of my questions, including if they can service my particular unit. She told me that they charge $95.00 to send out a service rep and a 'fully stocked truck' and that fee will not be waived even if I have them do the work. Since I have some specific questions that she could not answer, I asked that a technical person call me so I can determine if they are able to work on this system, before I spend an additional $95.00 that I really cannot afford to spend, and it was a hassle getting her to agree to have someone contact me. I asked to speak with a supervisor with technical knowledge and she told me that she would have a technical manager call me. She would not commit to any day or time that person will contact me, regardless of the fact that I explained that I will be off of work today and tomorrow, but when I go back to work I will not be able to take or make calls during the day due to the type of work I do and my schedule. She was less than accommodating and said only that someone will contact me and would not give me any idea when that will be. She continued to repeat that they would send out a technician and charge me $95.00 just to show up at the door. I told her that she was stonewalling me and that I simply want an answer to my question as to when a technical manager will be calling me. I told her that if she continued to do that, that I would hang up. She simply repeated her original mantra that they would send someone out for a $95.00 'show up service fee'. I said 'goodbye' and hung up. This was after wasting 10 -15 minutes answering her questions about my issue and gave her all of my contact info. I also spent time giving the chat rep all of the same information before he transferred me to her. A big waste of a half hour, and then time to write this review. I have been in the customer service and support business for a very long time. This is not good customer service and I hate to think of how they will treat me after they come to my house to do this work. Ellen Beverly

He came once and it didn't work, second time still didn't work, finally on his third visit, he finally fixed it. He only charged me once. They were very nice.

I called to request a quote to replace a sink faucet and the secretary scheduled for someone to come out that afternoon. She said she had no access to prices and thus could give me no idea or even a range one what I should expect. There is a dispatch fee of $50, but how much could it be to replace a sink? Well, it turned out to be over $600. So I paid the dispatch fee and stewed with my broken sink. My complaint is the inability to give an estimate over the phone but still charging this dispatch fee. It leaves the customer in a tough position. To throw away a little money or hand over a lot in a split decision to get your plumbing done. Stupid system.

I can't remember. I think it was good. It was a positive experience. We got them to do it right away. The quality was good. Their responsiveness was very good. I can remember they were punctual.

Excellent customer relations. Cranney came out promptly, assessed the situation and gave me a reasonable quote with no pressure or scare tactics. They came back 2 days later and completed the work in a very satisfactory way. I am very pleased with the timeliness, price, and professional attitude displayed by the guys that did the work. I will continue to call Cranney for work related to home repair and upkeep.

The big deal was for a plumbing inspection and water heater. The experience was good, they did a good job. They came out within 2 weeks, and there weren't any additional services. They did a good job. I didn't have any complaints.

Frank arrived on time and gave the price up front. A little more than we thought but we needed it done so not a huge issue. Took care of the problem and would use again if needed.

The company called 20-30 minutes before the technician came to our house. When Frank got there, he gave me an estimate and was very professional. He was very knowledgeable about everything he did and after he snaked the drain tested it to make sure it worked. Frank was very nice and I felt honest. I would use them again.

They are not inexpensive and they do quality work.

Justin, the plumber fixed both toilet and shower. First checking out the job and explaining what needed to be done, then giving us options and estimates, then replacing whatever parts needed. He had everything he needed to do the job. He even arranged for the drain to be inspected while he was here. Keith, the drain specialist, arrived shortly after Justin's call, to inspect our drain because our downstairs toilet blurped when the upstairs toilet was flushed. His inspection, with a camera, from the vent pipe on the roof, as well as through the clean out opening, found no clogs, but an issue that needed to be addressed by our septic service. (Septic service is not one of Cranney's services.) We thank goodness Keith came when he did, sparing us the messiness and headaches which would have happened had he not done that inspection in the timely manner he did. I spoke to Keith a couple of times after he came and he patiently and kindly explained what I needed clarification on. Both men were professional and courteous. Their patience and careful explanations were outstanding. They were also careful about cleaning up when they were done. I also commend Cranney on lining up the services I needed for the morning after I contacted them. You don't see that often these days!

Scott from Cranney met with me twice to evaluate my current heating system. He measured all of the radiators (which other companies that I contacted didn't do) and noted that the current system I had was about twice as big as it needed to be. This resulted in the system overheated and shutting off often (taking forever to heat the house). I decided to go with Cranney based on their knowledge and professionalism although the price was a bit higher than other bids (Note: got a $1000 gift card for Costco for being a Costco member). Work was performed over a day and a half by friendly and skilled technicians. Apparently there were a number of difficulties in my particular system that were resolved without any additional costs. Subsequent inspection was scheduled for me and a Cranney representative met the city inspector as a courtesy. Overall, it was a great experience. Now just waiting for some cold weather to give it a whirl. All of the staff from Cranney were very helpful and explained everything very thoroughly (sure wish my plumber was as easy to understand!). I would definitely recommend Cranney Home Services.

The man came on-time and put in the faucet. He made sure to let me know that the quality of the previous faucet was greater than what I was putting in. He did all the work required to put the faucet in (including replacing some piping) for the original price I had paid.

Arrived on time, did the work in prompt and professional manner. Pleased with service.

They are excellent. I have used them several times. They are reliable, considerate and polite. Their quality of work is excellent. They offer a wonderful service protection plan that I take advantage of. They are incredibly trustworthy people. The office staff is also wonderful to deal with.

I had them for five years now. I had them completely re-wire my house and the plumbing. So, I really like them. I love them. My interaction with them has been excellent and the work they had done turned out excellent. They are on the expensive side.

It was excellent. What speaks out is the customer service you get from the technicians who come out to do the work plus the people in the office have quicker response at your needs. All around, wonderful customer service. I have never had to call them back. I think once when they installed the stove but that wasn't the technician's fault. That was the fault of the people who manufactured the stove. Other than that I have never had to call them back for anything. When they do a job, it's done and done right. When they say they are going to be here, they're here and if for any reason something comes up, they'll call and they will make arrangements that meets your schedule. So, no complaints there. They're always very very professional. They make an effort to protect my rights. They do all the things you would expect, one thing you would expect actually. I've never seen any other company do what they do. The funny thing is, most of my neighbors did the same thing. They all have Cranney. These people I ever went into service that's the biggest concern and that's the biggest plus. That's what they do. When they make it, they do a good job at it.

I’ve used them several times. I’m very happy with Cranney Home Services. They fixed it in about 10 minutes. No, it was not the Big Deal. I called them separately, I had used them and I really liked them. The cost wasn’t very much for the work they did. They were on time. Professionalism was very good.

They are very responsive and seem to be a trustworthy company. They certainly have some talented individuals as far as their service goes for the gas boiler that I have. I found them to be very efficient. I just think the guys are very nice and polite. I cannot say anything bad about them. You get what you pay for. The quality of their work was excellent.

They were a little expensive but they were very thorough. My experience with them was fine. They were very knowledgeable.

I had a good experience with Cranney but a bad experience with one of his subcontractors. The service in the beginning went very well. I would use Cranney again but not his subcontractor. The price was very reasonable.

Cranney Home Services people were right on time. They saw that the leaking heater was going to have to be replaced and they replaced it the same day. They also saw that there were some pumps on our hot water system that need to be replaced. They gave us an estimate for time and price and we let them know that we would have it done at a later time....We also signed up for a protection plan for all the services they offer - electrical, plumbing, etc. The protection plan is very reasonable and gave us a feeling of comfort knowing that we had someone to look out for us...
