Description of Work: Cranney Home Services installed a new below-grade water pump for me. The old one had seized up and no longer would pump. They put in a new one and there have been no problems since.

Description of Work: Installed a new water heater and repaired some pipes. They were on time, courteous and everything was (probably) cleaner when they left than when they got there. We have used them several times and will use them again.

Description of Work: I have been a client of Cranney for 1 year. I have a service contract with them, and they come check things out, more often than should be necessary, by fault of my builder. The work they have done has been very professional, honest, reasonably priced, and my only wish is that I could call them to do all of my home improvement needs..landscaping, etc. Mike the electrician is my personal favorite! They stand by their work like no other company I have found.

Description of Work: Cleaned the boiler and changed some piping. He was here for 8 1/2 hours and charged $3,000. Thats $350 per hour.

Description of Work: I have signed up for a monthly service plan with Cranney, about $22 per month. One of the perks includes a gas heating system checkup, which revealed significant corrosion in the fittings due to shoddy installation (by another contractor) 7 years ago. I was taken aback at the cost of fixing this, but the damage was quite visible. The service tech worked several hours on the same day, and took care to explain to me the steps he was taking to replace the corroded parts. I was able to finance the repair at no interest through a bank that Cranney works with. Again, sorry to have to spend that money, but am confident that the system has been well taken care of now.

Description of Work: repaired pvc sewer pipe. Job went well, but cost seemed a little high.

Description of Work: I can't check a box either "yes" or "no" indicating that services were provided to fix a problem, because a definitive diagnosis was not made. The "cold" faucet for my bathroom sink has been running "hot" for some time. I was told that this could be a valve problem, or maybe a water heater problem, but the problem could not be resolved immediately, because the source of the problem was undetermined.

Description of Work: AC tune up from the Big Deal coupon. Their service was great; very professional and explained all of our options for replacement. The prices were steep, including the most affordable option, so we are still thinking about how to proceed.

Description of Work: When I called I just wanted some switch plates replaced, but after looking around there were several small jobs that I needed done. Cranney's professionals were able to install a vent fan in my Bathroom, replace a light over my sink and fix the switch plates all in ONE VISIT!. They arrived early, prepared to work and work they did!!!! On a very hot day, they were crawling around in the eaves of my attic .They were professional , neat and did a great job! Description of Work: Cranney installed a Mitsubishi HVAC system in our house in Andover. Initially, their project team reviewed our needs and assessed what equipment and labor we would need for the install. We decided on a dual unit Mitsubishi system after it was explained to us that the combination of the two units would provide an ideal and cost-effective solution for our A/C and heating needs. Their team installed the entire system, inside and out, in one full day. It was a great experience and when their project lead, Scott, came over a week later to make certain that we knew how to operate the system, he brought a box of chocolates, as well! I would highly recommend them to anyone. They disclosed all of the details up front, and there were no "pesky" add-on charges that drive me crazy. Nor, did they attempt to "up-sell" me, which is another major turn-off. Good deal all around...they delivered what they promised, on price and on time...
