The Siding Guy

While we received several estimates from other Angie?s List A-rated contractors, from the moment we initially met Joe, there was a sense that he was the only person we wanted to handle our remodeling effort. Joe listened to our desires and offered suggestions on ways to proceed, but he always stayed focused on our vision. Several days after our initial meeting, Joe called to say he had worked up the estimate, and asked for a convenient time to come over and discuss his proposal. Joe willingly met us on a Sunday morning and sat with us for over 90 minutes, discussing his recommended approach and answering our questions. After we received all of our estimates from the other contractors we contacted, we decided that while Joe?s estimate was not the lowest, the confidence and trust we had in him was worth paying a little more to get the expectations of having the job done correctly the first time. Initially Joe planned to do the work during the winter and since it was vinyl siding, there was no issue with doing the installation in the off-season. Unfortunately, this past winter was so extreme, the job ended up being delayed until the end of March. Joe however kept in contact with us and advised us of the date and time he would arrive to start the job. Joe said he would arrive at 7:00 AM to start the job, and at 6:59, his truck pulled up outside the house. Punctuality is a priority with Joe, and he was never late to any meetings we had scheduled with him. On the day the job started, Joe introduced us to his entire crew, Ricky, Chris, Casey, and Paul, and detailed how they were going to proceed. Joe?s crew was exceptional to deal with. They were punctual, polite and very respectful of our property. We always felt we could ask them a question whether Joe was on-site at the time or not. They were always willing to explain why something was being done and demonstrate how a particular detail would be handled. They are very knowledgeable , professional, and conscientious, making them excellent representatives for Joe?s company. To illustrate the professionalism of Joe?s crew, this one night they were working late, due to forecasted rain for the next morning. They informed us that they were leaving around 7:00 PM, and the crew departed. About 30 minutes later, I saw the truck pull up in front of the house. Thinking they forgot something, I went outside to see if everything was all right. They realized that they hadn?t replaced the downspouts on the gutter?s, and with the forecast of heavy rain overnight, they returned to attach the downspouts to prevent any damage to the house from the rain. This dedication that Joe?s crew displays is evident in the level of detail they put into their work. The siding and trim looks excellent, and they are exceptionally neat, thoroughly cleaning up the area every night before they leave. In our dealings with Joe while the job was underway, the first thing Joe would ask whenever he saw us was ?Is everything going as you thought it would?? His focus on ensuring that they were doing what we expected reassured us that we had made the correct decision to hire The Siding Guy. When they uncovered an issue due to the roof being improperly flashed when it was installed several years prior, Joe called, described the issue and presented a proposed fix and the additional cost to correct the issue. He always kept us informed of what was being done to the house at all times, and both Joe and his crew would always knock on the door and inform us that they were leaving for the night. Joe and his crew will be returning to our house in the future to replace our deck and stairs. We?re not even going to waste our time getting other estimates, we?re simply going to call The Siding Guy.

Joe and his crew were extremely professional and did an outstanding job on our re-siding project. Joe was honest with us and very helpful during the design process and when providing quotes. The team worked hard to complete the project during the harsh winter weather and it was obviously that they took pride in their work. Many times throughout the project Joe asked if everything was looking as we hoped and it was clear that it was important to him that we were satisfied with his work. I will not hesitate to hire Joe again on future projects.

We were very satisfied with our experience with Joe The Siding Guy and his crew; everyone was professional and courteous. They arrived promptly by 7:00 AM, cleaned up at the end of each day, and worked full days to complete the job in a timely manner. From the first contact with Joe, until job completion, he was very approachable and responsive to questions and requests. He also accommodated our request to replace some additional siding toward the end of the job at a reasonable additional cost. Completion of our job was delayed because the style of the picture window (which we provided) didn't match the other windows. Consequently it was necessary for Joe and his crew to return at a later date when the correct window was available. We were extremely pleased that Joe was able to fit this work into his busy schedule with little delay and that the additional charge was minimal. Based on our experience we would use Joe again.

I called Joe to have him come out and give me a quote for installation of gutters on the front of our house. He was extremely flexible and was able to come out that same day I called. He came over, gave me the quote and I decided he was the right one for the job right there. He was very pleasant, knowledgeable and it came across clearly that he was interested in a quality job at a reasonable price. He got all of the materials and showed up that Saturday and put on some great gutters! I would have no problem recommending Joe (The Siding Guy) and would hire him again.

I called Joe on Friday and he called me back in less than an hour. The other place I called for an estimate still hasn't called back. I sent him a photo of the damage and he got back to me the next day. Because of the weather he thought Sunday would be the best day to do the job. We exchanged phone calls and he showed up on Sunday around Noon with one other guy. He was very nice and very professional. They looked at the damage and showed me that a lot more of the siding would have to be replaced, so it would cost more than the estimate. I told him to go ahead and they had it fixed in a couple of hours. The siding looks better than it did before it was damaged. The other thing I really liked was that they didn't try to sell me anything else. My siding is very old and could obviously be replaced. Joe just pointed out some areas where there were some gaps, but didn't try to sell me new siding or a new roof. I would definitely recommend the Siding Guys!

Joe is a real pleasure to work with, and ultimately his goal is your complete satisfaction. He and his guys did a top notch job with everything. The original project's scope was replacing all of the siding (with vinyl) and roofing (architectural shingles), as well as putting in a new bay window (where there was none before). While working on the siding, Joe discovered that one of our large windows was very rotted, so I ended up having to replace that window too. The only hitch during the entire process, I'd say, was that he was originally supposed to start at the end of July/early August... due to his other gigs getting delayed, we slipped all the way to November before the work started. Given that we were now heading into winter, I was concerned about weather impacting the work. The main reason we were getting this work done was because I wasn't sure if our existing siding (masonite) would make it another winter. Joe was not concerned, and let me know he works through the winter, and that he'd get the job done. True to his word, he did just that. Took about two months to get everything done (this included waiting for the new window to be delivered, weather, etc.). Other than that, he was here promptly at 7am every morning (weather permitting) and worked straight through to sun down. The additional costs above and beyond the original quote were all very reasonable... Most of it, for me, was the replacement window... beyond that, it was very minimal and legitimate. Ultimately, there were no extraordinary or unnecessary costs tacked on or anything like that. Everything was very fair. We are very happy with how our house looks, and I absolutely would recommend Joe to anyone looking to do any siding/roofing work... or even just installing windows. I would certainly use his services again.

The job took under a week to be completed. There were no issues. We had very small leaks in the area of the chimney, we called, and he came the same day. I have recommended him. We chose higher level material.

Joe Wink and his crew were fantastic. Joe is the consummate professional. I'm very particular and asked many questions throughout the entire job. Joe continously told me his goal was my 100% satisfaction. His actions proved that. He answered all my questions with professionalism and patience and took care of all my requests. He also gave very good advice. His crew was respectful and pleasant and always on time arriving every day at 6:45 am sharp. They were neat and careful. Joe was extremely reasonable in his pricing. Most importantly I love the job they did. It is exactly what I envisioned. I love looking at my house! I wish Joe did interior renovations because I would hire him back in a heartbeat.

Joe and his crew were fantastic. We can't speak highly enough about the quality of their work, and they were also just all really great people to have around. They waved and smiled at our toddler. They treated my wife and myself as equals in the process. All around great experience.

We decided to go with The Siding Guy (Joe Wink) after reading the many positive reviews posted on Angie's List. Joe and his team were professional, courteous and competent. They took their time to be sure they got things right. We've received many compliments on the new look of our house. Joe was responsive and cooperative to any questions or requests made. We had only one issue. The new outdoor GFCI outlet worked briefly before failing. I sent an email to Joe to let him know and the electrician was out within a day or two to replace it. We have another smaller project we need to get done and will be contacting Joe to see if he is interested in taking it on.

Great experience. Joe and his crew are reliable and respectful and work hard to get the job done right and to your satisfaction. We replaced our old wood deck with a composite deck with railings (11x10). Joe knew what materials were the best, went over our choices and costs with us, handled all permitting and inspections, and was up front about everything. Joe and his crew were respectful of family with small children, cleaned up every day they worked, showed up when they promised and finished when they promised.

The job went very well. I was impressed with the work. They put in long days. finished the job in eight and a half days. they replaced all my wood window trim with PVC trim. The job was done in logical manner. The house looks great. I would recommend them to anyone who needs vinyl siding job. I appreciated the time Joe took with the quote. During the process he asked for , Joe asked for input on their work and if he was doing what I had asked for. His crew was very professional, they all seemed to be quite proficient in their work. My wife and I were quite happy with the finished job, the house has not looked that good in years. Great job Joe.

Joe Wink is the owner and foreman of each job. He and his crew showed up on time and worked 10 hour days to get the job done as promised. My husband and I had a lot of questions and wanted to be kept in the loop as to what was being accomplished each day. Joe showed my husband the progress each day and returned our calls immediately. His crew are polite, hard working, and good at what they do. It is obvious that he has worked with these guys for quite a while. Joe came to our house to give us the initial estimate and discuss what we wanted to have done. Right away we were comfortable with his level of knowledge and felt we could trust him to do the job. We interviewed 6 different siding companies and felt he would provide the best service and we were not disappointed. We would definitely hire The Siding Guy again.

Joe and his team are extremely professional and easy to work with. Starting with the initial estimate all the way through the completion of the project Joe was on side and easily accessible on his cell phone. He only works with a small team of seasoned professionals who know what they are doing and take their time to get the work done right. The compliments on our project continue to come in from our neighbors and friends. We are blown away with the final result and were incredibly pleased with the professional process as well.

Joe and his team were great. Professional, well managed. They were on time as well. Worked with me to ensure that the installation went according to what we wanted esthetically. Due to the size of the job, they were able to slide us in when they had a free day in the calendar. At the end of the day, Joe came and reviewed the project with the job foreman and me. Clean up was great and nothing was left behind. I would highly recommend The Siding Guy for any future work!

It all went perfectly well. Joe was very responsive. He was at my house an hour after we spoke on the phone to look at the job. He gave a thorough estimate of the work and the costs involved. The job was a bit open ended since the extent of the effort involved was unknown and could only be estimated once the work had begun, but Joe was able to provide an accurate assessment. The Siding Guy crew arrived bright and early on the day of the job. They were friendly and very professional and performed the job to the spec. They were very responsive to my questions and everything went smoothly. They did everything they said they would do and more, and all with top-notch quality. In the end, the costs were ~15% higher than Joe's initial estimate which was a pleasant surprise as the work seemed open-ended. I'll definitely have more work done on my house from the Siding Guy and I heartily recommend them to everyone.

Joe was very responsive. He called me the very day I entered my request into Angie's List. He quoted me a competitive price and completeted the job to my complete satisfaction and in less time than he estimated.

Joe's crew showed up on time (even a little early), and they immediately got to work. They worked very fast and efficient , but not sloppy, no cutting corners or anything. The quality of their work is excellent. They really know their stuff inside and out, and they are a very courteous bunch of guys. It was a pretty big project. The price was fair. I had compared prices of several different people, and he was definitely reasonable. I have hired him several times since to deice my roof in the winter, and he was here within the hour to do it. He is a great guy, and does exactly what he says he will do, and he does it well. One time he just did the back roof, and the other time he did the back and the front.

I called Joe on a Saturday and he showed up Sunday morning to give me an estimate, very prompt. I was impressed with him right away, he seemed to know this work very well. He gave me a quote that was higher than I was expecting. I got some other quotes that were lower, but when I dug into what was included, I realized that the price was climbing up towards Joe's quote. I did not want to take any chances with the weather tightness of my house, so I went with Joe. He showed up everyday with his crew at 7 am sharp and worked long hours. They finished when expected and were very professional to work with. Joe gave a pitch of how things would go when he first came to look at the job and it was all dead on. There was a leak in my roof that I found after the job was done that was the result of a previous contractor's work. I texted Joe a picture of it and he was there the next morning, Sunday, to fix it.

The crew arrived early before I left for work, when I returned home I found everything was not only done to my satisfaction but the work areas were left spotless. I would definitely be using this company again.

The Siding Guy was very responsive, very accommodating to our schedule, very efficient, very neat and tidy job. Over all it was excellent and they did a fantastic job. They did what we asked for.

Joe and his crew did a beautiful job and we were so glad to have hired them. They showed up on time every day and worked very hard under difficult weather conditions. We negotiated some changes along the way and Joe was great at suggesting alternatives and listening to ideas. We would hire them again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend them.

It went great...Joe said he and his crew would be at my house Saturday morning at 7am...and he was. The first day Joe came for the consultation, he walked me around the house and examined the gutters that we had. He let me know what was still in good shape that he could use and what he couldn't. He was honest and forthright... When he and his crew were done, he took me back around the house to show me what was done. He told me that if I had any problems, to call him right away. I would definitely hire him again....and would definitely recommend his work to others.

Joe couldn't have been any easier to deal with. He looked at the job, told me what needed to be done, what kind of siding, and quoted the job right on the spot. I did quote two other contractors for the job. One was $1K over and the other contractor was around the same cost, but I didn't feel like he had as much knowledge as Joe. I looked on line and there were so many colors. I explained what color I wanted, and Joe order a Cape Cod gray. It was exactly what I was looking for! Since I work during the day, I was not here to watch them do the actual work. I would come home and check the progress. The quality of the work was awesome! Joe called when he saw the plywood under the house siding was rotted. He said he could fix it that day. Everything was cleaned up and hauled away when the job was completed. As a single mother, I am somewhat pessimistic of contractors. Joe always made me feel comfortable. I would recommend him to anyone!
