Description of Work: Am having a lot of work done on my home to get it ready to sell. End of June, Gus, from ARM Masonry came by to look at the masonry repair I had requested with my $199 coupon. He quoted me a price and explained exactly what he would do. A very pleasant, knowledgeable man. In the meantime, my budget for other house repairs exceeded what I had planned on spending. I had to call Gus to tell him that I cannot afford to do the steps at this time. He was understanding and pleasant. He was concerned about my being able to get my $199 refund back. I told him I would take it up with Angie's List and I have.

Description of Work: Gus was fantastic. I had a large renovation project which included two leaking chimneys. I had several roofers and masons come out to look at the chimneys and it felt like everyone kept pointing fingers at each other, at the check book and all had different opinions. Both chimneys ended up coming down. Gus was honest, on time, and meticulous in his work (even my carpenter commented on how meticulous he was). As a female running the renovation by myself, I felt like Gus always “had my back.” His quality of work and his character is superior

Description of Work: Gus did a good job rebuilding our center chimney from the roof line back up to correct height for state code and to fix a leak. I have waited to post to see how the leak turned out, but months have passed and it is still fine. He was punctual and cleaned up. He also encountered some unexpected roofing issues and dealt with them without raising the price.

Description of Work: We recently purchased a house that we knew has a defective and crumbling chimney/fireplace. Gus removed the existing chimney on the exterior of the house and also removed the existing firebox.He build a complete new chimney from the ground up, and a new firebox. We purchased a gas fireplace insert, which needed interior brick finish work surrounding it, including a new hearth. Gus masterfully came up with a design to accommodate the insert as well as including a beautiful bluestone hearth. He reflashed the outside of the house around the chimney at the roof, reshingled the house where the old chimney was, and sealed the brick.
