Gus was awesome! He was quick to respond to my request for his recommendation and provided an estimate of services comparable to or less than other masons I had contacted. He was knowledgeable and clearly explained our options. I was not able to be onsite while the work was being done, so he provided updates as well as multiple pictures of the progress being made. I knew we were in good hands and was reassured at every step .. and I am so happy with the results. I highly recommend Gus for both his work expertise and for his professional manner.

They did an excellent job. Were extremely efficient, professional and meticulous. The patio came out great and they finished more quickly than expected. We couldn't be happier. The space was graded, a weed barrier was used and the pavers were cut perfectly to fit the area. I highly recommend Gus and his team.

Gus and his crew did a great job. Gus fully explained our options for repair or replacement. He made thoughtful suggestions about widening the front steps and reducing the height of the treads. The work was done in a timely manner. The worksite was cleaned after every day. I would recommend Arm Masonry without reservation. Gus was a pleasure to work with.

Excellent. They finished the job quickly, did excellent work and provided spotless cleanup. I would highly recommend them. The job involved tearing down an existing chimney, rebuilding and reflashing it and replacing the surrounding roofing.

Gus and his crew were very professional and thorough. Rebuilt our chimney which was leaking. They did flues, brickwork and flashing. It looks beautiful,like a brand new chimney. They even clean the roof after they are done and are diligent about making sure no pieces of brick are in the lawn. Very positive experience. Would highly recommend them. and will use them for any brickwork in the future. This was the most expensive option to our leaking chimney, but this is what was needed. We had wasted several thousand dollars in the past several years with coatings and patch fixes which did not work. .

Professionalism, timeliness, and workmanship exceeded all expectations! Gus sent pictures of the project as it was being completed, he worked with another contractor when we ran into unexpected problems, bottom line his recommendation and his crew's talent resulted in a beautiful entrance with blue stone and brick. They left the job site clean with all debris removed. I would recommend him without hesitation.

I did not want to give him my physical address because I didn't know when he was coming I gave him a general area and asked him to call me when he was in the area. He chose not to work with me because I wouldn't give him the information.

The chimney is great. His team also where very careful as far as protecting deck and lawns from debris. It was a real pleasure to find a contractor like him. I was extremely pleased with the experience. Thats why I went to Angies list the morning after the job to make these comments. It was a pleasure doing business with the man and his team. Gus, the owner of Arm Masonry, came out to my home within a short time after I contacted him for an estimate. He was very professional. I received a written, detailed estimate within 24 hours. The project began on time as promised. Gus was onsite and hands on, as promised. He and his experienced workers exceeded my expectations. I asked that he set aside any old bricks that could be used again and they were piled neatly next to the garage. Some streaking occurred around the grout after I hosed off the steps a few days post-installation as directed and Gus addressed it immediately. He has also followed up several times to insure my satisfaction. I could not be more pleased with the experience and my beautiful new front steps.

Gus was absolutely great! I was 2000 miles away and concerned that I wasn't closer to oversee the project. Gus sent detailed pictures and explanations of the work to be done. Then he sent daily progress report and pictures. The results? Absolutely unbelievable! When I got to the house, I couldn't believe the quality of work. Then I was surprised to find that Gus planned to strip all the shingles and rebuild the alcove to coordinate with the new landing. I assumed that was an additional cost. Gus said NO! that was part of the bid and to do less would, as he said, "be an insult to you". If you need mason work on the cape, call Gus, you will not be disappointed.

The brick steps in the front of our vacation home were damaged from the winter. We had a number of bricks that were loose and open mortar joints due to the heavy snow and severe cold we had in the northeast. We contacted Gus of Arm Masonry in March and told him about our problem. Gus went to the house to take a look and provided us with a few options and estimates. We decided to have the bricks repaired so we asked Gus to do the work. We are completely satisfied with the quality of the work performed by Arm Masonry as well as the entire business transaction. Gus was very professional and courteous throughout the transaction. SInce we aren't there all the time, Gus responded promptly through emails, took before and after pictures, and made sure we were satisfied. We will certainly contact Gus again for all of our masonry needs.

It was very good service! They were just a little difficult to schedule with.

I hired Arm Masonry to remove the top portion (above the roof) of an unused chimney and then patch the roof. (The old chimney was leaking and I didn't need it any longer, so, I just removed the part that was leaking....). FYI, though patching the roof was not their specialty, they did a great job. I am very pleased. I called and Gus came out, very punctual, and met with me, gave me a very aggressive quote in a timely manner, performed the work the very next week, all very punctual. The work was done swiftly and it was "clean". It made contracting someone extremely easy, not something I can normally say.... I would definitely hire them again.

Work was above my expectations. They were on time every day. friendly, neat, and more than fair on the prices. I have several other brick work projects and will use them for every one. I couldn't be happier with the service they provided.

About two weeks after we agreed to Gus's estimate he called and was ready to do the job. He came with two other workers and they had the whole thing completed in less than two days. Very neat, courteous and professional workers. I would recommend them to anyone. Actually charged us a little less than the verbal estimate.

We bought a house. There had been a roof leak around the chimney. Inspector said we probably needed a new roof. Turned out the first roofer we called said it wasn't the roof but the chimney was falling apart. Arm replaced my brick facade chimney from the roofline up, good sized piece of masonry work, about 4x4x8 They had the best price by a substantial margin. Others gave us quotes of 5-7 days to do the job. Arm quoted 2-3 days. The job was largely done in 2 days and they returned on the 3rd morning to finish and break down/clean up their scaffolding, etc. I was a little nervous about the low price/quality since others had advised a lead pan be installed and Arm did not quote the lead pan. On the 2nd day, Gus recommended putting in the pan. It was not much more and even with the added cost the price continued to be well under the quotes of the others. He was helpful, gave advice, explained everything. Would hire them again and recommend them to others. Good price, quick, good quality.

I received competitive quotes from 3 vendors and selected Arm Masonry due to their reputation and competitive bid (all were comparable). As the job was about to begin, we experienced a prolonged period of wet weather which prohibited the vendor from working outside. Nonetheless, he kept in contact with me to tell me how he was making progress on his earlier jobs and when he could get to my house. The chimney was in such disrepair that rain water was seeping into the house and staining the ceilings. The vendor offered to come to the house and wrap the chimney in a tarp until such time as they could start the work. After completing the work, we noticed a small leak was still present. The vendor did not hesitate to return and successfully fix that problem.

Our chimney was in bad shape and we needed repairs immediately. Our Realtor had recommended Arm Masonry to us. Gus the owner, came out and gave us the options for repairs - and recommendations. The chimney was in rough shape - and it basically had to be torn down and re-built. He spent a lot of time with us - explained things in great detail and provided a concise estimate for the work. He was extremely responsive - communicated extremely well throughout the entire project. He was neat - the chimney looks great - and he cleaned up the entire work site - like they were never there - no mess. Very professional - and you can tell he really knows his profession and takes a lot of pride in his work. I highly recommend him - and I will have him back to do my second chimney as well.
